  1. You know what came to my mind? I wonder if garlic and silver are all over folklore for their real-world properties, rather than by accident. Silver keeps food and liquids from going bad, it has antibacterial properties. Garlic has similar stuff + anti-cancer effects. Am I just imagining things here or am I onto something?

  2. Thank God he doesn’t do this annoying format anymore people have stuff to do than play a veggie game show. But now he’s the best in the business.

  3. And now he says don't eat too much spinach. Vegans are stupid. Stop eating roughage. Humans are designed for low fiber, highly absorbable nutrition. Meat. Fruit. That's about it.

  4. Maybe they should be highlighted on the Daily Dozen app? Also, those times when organic is not available, i.e. salad bar, how much benefit are we losing by eating the non-organic version?

  5. Dr. Greger….Curious to know about the sulphone hydroxyl in garlic. Dr. Robert Beck suggests that it's a poison to our brain cells. It kills our brain cells off and disrupts brain waves, resulting in slower cognition. Is there any merit to this? I understand that onions are also problematic. I've been eating a lot of onions and garlic lately and am now concerned about potential hazards. Your help would be greatly appreciate. Thanks!

  6. looking at those charts of cell proliferation: it means that some vegetables make the cancer grow slower (but the cancer still grows) – right?

  7. Correct.
Eat from the 'mustard seed' family of Cruciferous vegetables.
The wild mustard clearly is not a sown vegetable, so Christ was talking about those that are PLANTED (Matthew 13:31-32). Thus the FAMILY of flowering plants commonly known as the mustard's, the crucifers, AND the cabbage family are CANCER FIGHTERS. Satan planted seed that is like CANCER.

  8. Dr Greger and team, I want to say thank you so much for making these videos and running your website. Research without communication of the findings it to the public is essentially useless. But you communicate it to he public and also make it fun and interesting. Thank you for making me WANT to eat my greens (and cruciferous veg AND allium veg)!!

  9. Dear Dr. Gregor, if onions (alium family) are so health-promoting, why did you not include them in your Daily Dozen? Thanks

  10. Would I get the same results using garlic powder or garlic salt on my salad rather than mincing a garlic clove over my veggie salad?

  11. Palak, favourite dish. Very cheap to make with fresh veggies and spices and buying your chickpeas or lentil in bulk. It's just an onion, a couple tomatoes, and a tonne of leafy greens – you don't need to stick to just spinach! Add garlic at every stage of cooking since it has different flavours depending on how long it has been cooking. I like to add mushrooms to mine. Variety is the spice of life!

  12. my tortoise loves Radicchio ! he will go through and pick out and eat it first from the leaf mix i give him. spoiled little guy <3

  13. Rutabaga is a cruciferous vegetable, so should be part of the group of veggies labelled in green towards the end of the video.

  14. I am very confused since tomatoes is not rated as effective for prostate cancer reduction while in another of Dr. Greger videos shows that having a cup of tomatoes juice daily may reduce prostate cancer, which one is the correct one?

  15. too much consumption of garlic can really be bad and can compromised your immune system however when use correctly you can benefit it! amazing garlic!

  16. Fyi, 90 % of garlic sold in North America comes from China, even organic. It is grown on waste, and cleansed with bleach to make it look white. Buy local garlic, or even better grow your own.

  17. Are these organic produce? For control purposes you would need to test both organic and non organic so there is no interaction between them.
