Benefici del fieno greco per la funzione sessuale, i periodi dolorosi e la produzione di latte

I benefici ormonali del fieno greco si estendono oltre l'aumento di massa muscolare del testosterone.

  1. Forget about the benefits unless you're also willing to smell like curry all day. It makes your sweat smell like india.

  2. Fenugreek is a strong spice so I started eating sprouted fenugreek seeds, they're cheap and delicious. I'm curious if the effect is the same, I had never heard of testosterone, I was doing it because I prefer maple syrup armpits to rotten onion armpits after sweaty exercise.

I hadn't noticed any of the male "effects" listed here but who knows.

  3. I like to sprout fenugreek seeds. Would that make them even more powerful? My daughter’s period was so bad last month that she called and had me take her to the emergency room; the worst in her almost 25 years of periods!

  4. I wish there was something that could actually do anything positive that i can observe with my body, but they seem to do the opposite, when i consume these "healthy" foods, idk why my body does the exact opposite to the expected results of my diet, its driving me insane trying to do more to get worse..

  5. As far as safety during pregnancy (3:27) you should look at about how much is consumed in the Indian diet by pregnant woman and if there is any statistical risk. Considering India is 1.38 Billion people, it clearly doesn't end all pregnancy, however I could see westerners using it in isolation as a supplement accidentally over doing it, and ending a pregnancy.

  6. Considering the already confirmed benefits of turmeric and ginger perhaps we should be getting curry pills at the vitamin store.

  7. A question comes to me, why forcing our infinitely intelligent body to increases the production of something like testosterone, milk or others things instead of letting him manage everything? It is obviously not without consequences just like taking a stimulant like caffeine or wiping a horse.

  8. fenugreek is like garlic
its beneficial but i hate smelling like my food
    so i dont take either
(and no the smell of fenugreek is not "just pleasant", it has some aspects that could be described as pee smell)

  9. You forgot to mention breast size increase, i started taking fenugreek, mind you not pregnant not menopausal, but have painful periods had heard it could prevent menopausal sysmptoms as well as breast increase.
I do not need breast increase but figured what the heck either way, honestly it causes breast tenderness again not pregnant just got off my period so not that anymore. But… i have had two children and know what the full breast and tenderness from lactation feels like and let me tell you my breasts are swollen and full feeling and tender. I am continuing my experiment but i can attest to the claims of breast fullness to be true you should touch upon that Dr. Greger. I do know that it only works while i take it i forgot one day and the tenderness subsided so that is also interesting to note. Again though not a bad side effect could keep someone away from the knife if they just wanted fuller breasts again it is not to the level of a woman who needs to pump or feed the baby right now but more like a period swelling fullness also that is another good way to put it. When i was a teenager that too occurred to me. Hopes this helps somebody.
Have not taken it long enough to smell like maple syrup, but like Dr. Greger stated that is not the worst thing you could smell like.
My dog has keeps trying to lick my armpits so maybe i cannot smell it on myself, it makes me laugh because he has never tried that like this😂🤣

Thank you for all you do Dr. Greger i hve been a fan for many years and will continue to be forever.

  10. Super interesting, was about to check Testosteron levels/think about TRT. Can you link to the study with ageing males? How did the ingest the fenugreek?
Bought some seeds, do I just chew them and what dosis?

  11. Sorry for the long message. But I just thought I'll mention this. I used to get a lot of abscesses and eczema in my skin when I used to eat meat. I used to get it like once in 3 months. And then the dermatologist would prescribe some medication for 2 weeks till it goes. When I went vegan 3 years ago it reduced significantly. But I still got it on 2 occasions in the last 3 years. The first time I took some medication for a few weeks till it went away. The second instance I got it was very recent. During that time I used to have a fenugreek sprouts once a months or so. So after about 2 days after getting the abscess the fenugreek sprouts were ready to eat. And after I had the sprouts the next morning the abscess was fully gone. I didn't know or expect fenugreek would cure it. I just took it cz I take it about once a month. It was fully gone in a day. If I had taken medication for a dermatologist I would have ended up spending around 50$ and it would take 2 weeks for it cure as well. I'm not a doctor or nutrition scientist but I'm just mentioning my experience. I hope it gives something to think about.

  12. Fascinating, our midwife recommended fenugreek for lactation 13 years ago and I wondered if it held any water. Apparently so! This may explain why my son was gargantuan, because we followed the advice.

  13. Does this have any effect or increase in the promotion of prostate cancer? I mean does Fenugreek stimulate testosterone which stimulates the prostate? 60yrs old, I have a very irritable prostate with a high PSA. I find ginger will increase my erection after I eat a lot for about 3 days. Then after a few days the stimulating effect of ginger sort of goes away.; The body gets used to the ginger. I also eat pumpkin seeds for the prostate. And green tea. And turmeric. And cranberry. And hot pepper. Thanks Doc.😂👍

  14. It’s been seven months and my wife’s still breastfeeding our baby. She’s been using fenugreek for milk production and for her high cholesterol…even though i’m not very sure about the last one. She’ll alternate between pills/tea.

  15. Most of these studies are on "Fenugreek extract" supplements not whole food Fenugreek. How many grams of Fenugreek would you have to consume to hope for similar benefits to these Fenugreek extract studies? Are we talking 1-2g (1/4 – 1/2 tsp) per day? Or larger amounts like 4-12g (1tsp – 1tbsp) or more?

EDIT: Looked at a few of the highlighted studies and it looks like 10-12g / day of Fenugreek would get you similar compound levels to the Fenugreek extract supplements. I like a lot of flavor in my diet, but 10-12g of Fenugreek a day is still a lot of Fenugreek.

  16. Is there a recommended amount to be taken daily once a day or multiple times?

Do they have to be chewed Or can they be swallowed whole?

Imagine chewing or grinding will make it more bioactive?

Then is there a different quantity needed for whole and swallowed versus chewed or ground?

  17. The over active uterus is a bit concerning and the lactating part too if you had breast cancer and are on a treatment that already messes with the uterus. Is that something to be concerned about!? I mean if you already had breast cancer?

I commenti sono chiusi.
