  1. Dr Greger is just 51 year old! He looks 10 year older than his real age.
    It's crazy that he can believe and make believe he has the recipe for 'anti aging'.
    He should stop his diet before he breaks a bone on his ridiculous treadmill.
    I am sad for vegans because they remind me of the physical suffering and decline of my late mother who became vegetarian for religious reasons.

Love watching information passionately put forward from all camps, aslo watched Bart Kay's take on these same topics, shame there is such a lack of peer reviewed controlled science to back mr gregers interpretations, it would be great to have Greger and Kay debate the science live with eack other , we would all benefit 🙂

  3. There has never been a universal consensus in the world of nutrtional science on what a ''healthy person'' look's like, so, the screening process for who has a true cause and effect
    on diet and heart disease, was always compromised right from the start: Also in the past 30 years, soil quality and preservatives have changed dramaticaly in the processing and distribution of our food supply, so to be blunt, the chicken and cattle and vegtables we eat today, are not as nutritonally dense in general as the food supply from 30 years ago, which again compromises
    the so called scientific data when looking at historical study's going back 20 years or longer. If you want to see what real science sort of look's like, on the matter of the relatioship between diet and heart disease, you need to look beyond the standard lipid panel now, which we've since learned in the past 15 year's is a highly incomplete picture, and why over 20% of people who

  4. People, how does anyone believe he is an expert on staying young? Look at his photos of about 10 years ago and look at his recent photos. He looks about 10 years older not younger. His teeth are aging, they are cracking to pieces. Check out his prescription lens, much thicker than ten years ago.
    He better get his left carotid artery checked, looks like it's going to burst any day now. It's the side where he has an inflamed ear and numerous age spots on his head.
    He is deeply involved with the seventh day adventist cabal who are trying to coerce everyone into a vegan diet. Research everything for yourself.

  6. This would be great if this mush mouth would stop dismissing all the good research going on all over the world. He’s all about associative studies and could care less about the 10’s of 1000’s of people all over the world who are breaking the chains of disease and illness by many of the same things he so flippantly disregards. Nutrition is not a one size fits all proposition. Neither is longevity or health span. Plant based isn’t unique or special, it’s just part of the equation. If an athlete regularly consumes black cumin, hibiscus tea and barberries that interfere with mitochondrial function during 'off' season, and stops the foods before an athletic event, will he/she get a 'boost' in improved mitochondrial function that would translate to measurably improved aerobic/functional capacity during the event? Like the effect gotten by wearing ankle weights or a weighted vest when not exercising and then taking off the weights before a race? (Just asking for a friend, of course.)

  10. 54:01 I can over-eat nuts; i used to snack – a big bag of mixed nuts in pantry. I’d walk past the pantry & grab a handful of nuts & enjoy… ok. I will start measuring nuts.

    I am 67, a South Indian lady, a tennis coach and piano teacher on weekends.
    I run for fitness and recently won the bronze in the TCS world 10 k run with a timing of 1 hour 9 mins. I do the 100 meters in 18 seconds.
    My 5 young grandkids are impressed.
    I am a ricebased vegetarian and two years ago removed dairy and extra oil from my diet.
    I love local fruits and have a few beneficial nuts and seeds.
    Luckily we South Indians use great spices in our food so the only supplement I take is B12.

  14. People arguing Keti, Carnivore, Vegan and Vegetarian are the only way …….The obvious answer whe you open your eyes is they all work. Some feel better on one and vice versa. There are 2 big obvious points though. One is anything other tgab a proscessed food diet is going to be benefictial.   17. Epidemiology cannot tell you the risk of this or that. It cannot determine the causation of anything. In fact most epidemiology, MOST, does not even accurately measure food consumption in the study populations. All nutritional epidemiology is 100% nonsense. Gregor is part of a huge cohort of Zero intelligence nincompoops who think they are reading "science" or actionable facts from these utterly useless studies.

  19. Any modern day study (in past 20yrs at least) is compromised, the funding for these studies is provided by those who wish to push the vegan narrative. There is a worldwide agenda by the globalist/corporatists and the governments that are lobbied and staffed by them to eliminate animal products from the human diet (only ‘they’ will eat meat still), it’s got nothing to do with climate change and it certainly isn’t to reduce cancer, why is it? Because mass produced vegetable & insect protein – pea and soy mainly – can be made by these globalist/corporatists on mega mono cropping industrial ‘farms’ and increases their wealth and control (money and power is what drives these people) exponentially. They will then make this ‘protein’ into mass produced processed junk food that most busy people will be forced to consume as they have neither the time nor the capacity to grow or source fresh wholesome vegetables. It also keeps us dumb and sick, so we do not question what’s being done to us. Ethical regenerative farming makes no money for big corps, and as we head towards the 4th Industrial Revolution they realise they need WAY LESS of us (were referred to as useless eaters by them) so restricting our food to a substandard level helps in their cull. Birth rates are plummeting, mental health crises, turbo cancers and autoimmunity rife; and we’re supposed to believe that consuming animals causes all this. Bullshit. Stop getting jabbed, and eat as much good quality animal fat, meat and organs as you can afford (along with plenty of veg 9f you so wish, I have an allotment and grow my own which I eat alongside animal stuff at every meal – I only eat twice a day, have zero health issues and went for full blood work, ecg etc and was told I’m physically in mid 30’s at age 50), you will thrive on it. Humanity’s future actually depends on it.

  20. When he said you shoukd not fast for two to three days without medical supervision and you could die, I then decided I can't take anything he says seriously. My friend's and I fast 7 to 10 days three times a year and have never had any issues at all, unless feeling amazing is a concern 😊😊

If he assumes that being a vegan is the healthy way to go, tell him to come and see me, I’ll invite him to see all my vegan patients that need blood transfusions before going into surgery. He should know as a physician, constant blood sugar spikes from constant carbohydrate intake increases Alzheimer’s disease and Dementia.   25. There's a new study showing that male mice live 10% longer when given Hawaiian astaxanthin. Resveratrol failed the test. The only other over-the-counter substance that also increased life span was a sea-sickness medicine. Four prescriptions drugs also increased lifespan in mice.

  26. I never ate mushrooms when growing up. My parents weren't fans. But since going plant based, I now eat mushrooms at least 4 times a week. I love them and they are good to me. Oh lovely, I was going to try to drink coffee again, but I like green tea so I'll stick with that. Thanks for that tip.

I have moved from a varied diet of high quality fruit, veg, carbs and animal proteins breakfast, lunch dinner to one meal a day high fat, beef + wild meat all grass fed, no antibiotics etc. Age 67 …two triathlons this year, same weight as age 30, tons of energy, thinking clearly….don't get hungry much before mealtime.

  32. namaskaram, Dr. Greger shared about 4 herbs he takes daily. Turmeric, Black Cumin, Amla (dry gooseberry powder), and Pali (?). Have no idea what that is. I believe he stated that each herb dosage is 1/4 tsp.? Also, where does the Dr. go for un-adulterated, Non-GMO, No Heavy Metals, etc. herbs and vitamins?

    – Plant-diet can slow down aging.
    – 2-3 days water-fasting OR 60 minutes of intensive exercises -> to activate autophagy.
    – Wheat Germ & Mushroom can help with activating Autophagy.

From my part I take NMN, resveratrol Berberine, Magnesium, Spermedine and lot more supplements… Since I started with these supplements my energy and testosterone levels have increased dramatically.. I am 74 and have been kidney transplanted when I was 60. My kreatin level is stable and my blod pressure is 120/80. I just can't believe that all these supplements are of no use.

  39. I ate beans for a month and I've never felt so weak. I work out with weights, I hike 4 miles a day every day, I need to eat meat to maintain strength, to maintain my muscle mass. Take the case of Omega-3's for example. There are three kinds of Omega-3 fatty acids, Alpha Linoleic is the one you can get from plants and that's good for the liver and the mitochondria of human cells for energy production (Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil, COLD ONLY), but then you have the other two types of Omega-3's that comes from Fatty fish, Wild Caught Fatty Fish, like Sardines and Sockeye Salmon. Fatty Wild Caught Fish contains EPA and DHA which are essential for cardiovascular health and neuronal health (BRIAN HEALTH). Fish get DHA and EPA Omega-3 from eating Algae, so unless you intend to eat that same algae (if you can even find it in a supplementary or edible form), these fatty cold water fish are eating you will have to eat the fish at some point or live without two types of essential Omega-3 Fatty Acids in your diet. I'd like to hear Dr. Greger tell us how he gets his DHA and EPA Omega-3 from Plant based sources only. I'd like to know how he gets it. He's a very annoying scrawny man. I think he's full of crap from eating too many beans.

  40. You cant be a vegan without a good grasp of knowing how to take supplements.. If you dont supplement you will develop health issues. that does not sound like an ideal formula for success for most people.

  41. I did began with gym for a year, that stuff almost killed me at the tender age of 28. I couldn't recover and lost strength, I can never go back to vegan again.

    When fasting for three or more days the metabolism will use fat and proteins.

    The fat comes from belly fat and visceral fat.
    The proteins come from autophagy.
    Both are „animal based“ nutrients.

    Therefore, this is comparable to the lions diet.

    People who are following the lions diet have this healthy metabolism every day of the year.
    People who are regularly fasting have this healthy metabolism some days per month.

    Both forms of nutrition are good.
    But the one with 365 days out of 365 days seems to be better.
