  1. Allium family is always a nutritional feast.

    Red Onion and Spring Onions are loaded with Quercetin, a potent anticancer compound.

    Allicin in Garlic is another potent compound for its effective pulmonary function management, the only other that I know of is Arjuna Bark.

  2. What about pickled garlic? I buy pre peeled garlic that tends to get moldy before I finish them all, so when the jar gets to half empty, I add vinegar to prevent mold. The acid rather quickly turns the garlic green/blue. Any idea if I am preserving, killing or not effecting garlic's benefits when I do this??

  3. So it would be optimal to cook my food like usual (with garlic and onion) and then mix in some additional garlic powder and some form of onion afterwards?

  4. Someone once said, 'an apple a day keeps the doctor away; an onion a day keeps EVERYONE away!' …which works out GREAT for social distancing! Hahahaa! Anyway, thanks for doing the research and reposting! Stay well, all!!

  5. Buddha said that onions🧅 and garlic 🧄makes you a hot-head, both in mind making you restless☄️and libido🌊. So it is forbidden for the practicing Saints 🧘🏼‍♂️🙏🏻 to consume it.

  6. So i have to eat garlic and onions raw to utilize its potent effects, preferrably within 10 minutes… When I was in the Philippines, a dipping sauce that is often used is soya sauce, chopped garlic and onion with a bit of chili. Recommend that as a means.. Any more ideas welcome 😉

  7. Most days I chop about 3 or 4 cloves of garlic and eat it raw with kimchi and chickpeas as a side salad with a sandwich. Love garlic 🙂

  8. I take a clove of garlic and an inch of ginger, mince and swallow with acv and 8 oz of water each morning and again at bedtime.

    You don't have to eat raw garlic and onions if you don't like it. It's not as if you don't do it, you suddenly die young 😉
    Just eat plenty of fruits, vegetables and other whole foods and you'll be fine. Don't stress about every little detail. It's not going to expand your life that much anymore if you already eat healthy.

    The average age that people get to where I live is 82 and those people are actually still quite healthy. They ate way worse then people eating a mostly whole food plants diet.
