  1. An apple or more a day keeps Dr Greger at bay. I'm a huge unpeeled apple fan, as peels also provide QUERCETIN for the immune system, together with vitamin 3-4,000iu vegan D3, (+K2) and 40-50 MG of zinc per day is ideal. The peel also provides added fibre, plus the combination of onions and apple taste great together in a veggie stew.

  2. How is this news? I’ve been hearing since I was a child (because as a child I preferred peeled apples) “eat the peel! That’s the part with the nutrition!”

So how is this a new development? I’m 65 btw

  3. Im 62 and vegan for 7 years. I put a peeled orange and an unpeeled apple into my green smoothies that contain spinach. Part of my raw vegan regimen daily. So I guess I’m doing something right after all. Thank you for this video.

  4. can you do a video on IBS and if the daily dozen is enough and if it gets worse with age and is there anything you can do to make it better for yourself?

  5. Growing up in the 1970's, we had five apple trees growing in our yard, as my Dad had spent many hours choosing just the right kind of tree and the right kind of apple. They ranged from huge, sour, green Anoka apples that were wonderful in pies and desserts. And, smallish crab apples that were good in homemade apple jelly. A couple of the apple trees were Haralson apples, which are a University of Minnesota vintage cultivar. The Haralson's were excellent to eat just as is, picked fresh from the tree. My Dad was a fanatic about what a 'good' apple was, as he ate sliced apples almost every day with his lunch. I'm convinced that his love of apples are one reason he lived to 90 years old with very few health issues.

  6. Now thst apples…even organic ones…plus other produce…organic and nonorganic….are coated with apeel coating…and that can't be washed off…its toxic…you'd better peel everything you can. It contains transfat…acetyl nitrate…(methyl cyanide )…hexane…toluene….possibly lead. Someone inform dr. Greger.

  7. Love to eat apple skin but the wax is a major concern to me. Been reading below comments but I am still confuse about which proven method is able to remove the wax. Appreciate if anyone can share their insights. Thanks.

  8. heh, if i dont peel apples, i get terrble circulation problems. i suspect tannins play a role, suffering similarly from other tannin rich peels/currents/cerries/etc.

just another piece of amusement and evidence in contrast to the assertive statements made by those who claim to have found the truth.
funny. the real fun though, starts once realising, dont know. 🙂

  9. All Michael science points to one simple principle 🍎🍏 this is acceptable and good, not too bad.

  10. Green versus Red apple skin? We know that similar health benefits are derived from our lovely red tomatoes…
