  1. Hospitals, doctors offices and schools should be places where good nutrition is taught and provided not places that contribute to disease and obesity. It is crazy the hospitals are feeding people the very food that caused the heart disease, high blood pressure or cancer that they are treating. Every person in the hospital should receive some nutrition education before being released. Every doctor visit should be an opportunity to educate patients about how food choices impacts their health outcomes. The fact that doctors do not get nutrition training as part of their training makes no sense. Medicare and Medicaid should require nutrition education as part of patient care. Focus should be on food choices. Fasting should be investigated as a treatment for disease.

  2. Fun fact from Dr. Mills: men don’t wear bras in Japan despite drinking plant estrogen.

    How many men do we see here in the US that desperately need one?

  3. You are what you eat. Your diet impacts your health.
    Lower stress, reduce obesity and more exercise are key to a healthy life.
    Obesity in children and adults is rising across the world.
    Fast food and sugary drinks are contributing to the problem of poor health and obesity.
    Eat a healthy plant based diet and exercise regularly.
    Reduce or ELIMINATE cows milk, eggs, cheese and meat. Eat more salad greens, beans, fruit and vegetables. Eliminate fast food, snacks like cookies, cakes, chips, and sugary drinks and juices.
    Every adult and child should own a bicycle and ride it regularly.
    Regular exercise will help you sleep better. Yoga is a great stress reducer.
    Obesity is all too common today. Get off the couch. Get off the phone, ipad or video game.
    A variety of stretching and other exercises help with increased mobility.
    Ride to work, ride to school, ride for fun.
    Every city should be a bicycle city.
    Speak up for bicycles in your community

  4. What's sad & frustrating is that the United States pays the meat & dairy industry billions of our tax dollars every year keeping them in business.

  5. As a Christian, I always enjoy hearing Dr. Mills since he, too, is a Christian. Not saying that other vegan doctors are or aren't, but Dr. Mills often mentions it. The best person to talk to a Christian about a wfpb diet is often another Christian.

  6. I’m overweight but steadily losing weight, so I totally understand the struggle and I’m sure Dr. Mills has a lot going on in his life working hard in the hospital doing shifts. But to me it is incongruous and a bit hypocritical that he is overweight and giving this lecture. I think it would be a good idea for him to obtain a healthy body fat percentage for the benefit of his health and longevity before giving such a lecture otherwise the audience will be puzzled at why he can’t follow his own advice. Best wishes to Dr. Mills.

  7. He sure does look vegan. Keep pushing that crap on melanated people and caucasians with "white guilt". I'll go vegan when I see videos of starving Africans kids marching and telling people to stop eating meat. Until then stay vegan, it's keeping the price of beef down

  8. Sure, u will feel better for some weeks, hell maybe years. All vegans fail ultimately, plants don’t have over 50 micronutrients (max. 15) and plus they are less bioavailable. Eat your natural diet consisting of meat, dairy and maybe some fruits. Don’t adapt to this stupid vegan religion. Amen.

As a Vegan I would like to see long term randomised, controlled trials on cancer reversal due to a plant based diet as I dont feel comfortable stating it can cure such invasive disease without robust evidence over anecdotal evidence. Having said that, for sure plants over animal flesh and secretions for healthspan and longevity and always Vegan for sentient beings rights to life and freedom 🌱💪🫡

  16. Wonderful presentation from a true and extremely noble doctor . I would only point out that dr. Mills quoted dr. Mark Hyman about ‘diet being better than medicine ‘ ( which is true ). However Dr. Hyman is a carnist and against a vegan diet . I wish Dr. Mills would quote other doctors who are far more ethical and promote a WFPBD rather than doctors like dr. Hyman .

  24. Everly Dearborn, Mic the Vegans baby girl, passed away in March 2020 at 10 weeks of age, due to a Congenital Heart Defect. Her mom, Lyndi had been vegan for at least 10 years prior to conceiving Everly.

    Ty Oppenlander, the son of the Dr Richard Oppenlander, passed away on August 1, 2020 from a rare and aggressive brain cancer at 37 years of age. Vegan from birth.

    Susan Levins MS RD CSSD, Director of Nutrition Education for PCRM and co-author of the 2016 Position of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics: Veg*an Diet, passed away on July 39, 2022 at 51 years of age from Colon Cancer. Vegan for 27 years.

    Lisa Karlan, PCRM Food for Life Instructor, had a massive Haemorrhagic Stroke in April 2021 at 66 years of age and has nowhere near recovered. Vegan for 9 years.

    These are only the tip of the iceberg.

  29. Wow every vegan speech I hear always lifts me up, especially after constantly being told veganism isn’t sustainable. And then I hear stories like these and I’m like yea, not everyone is woke, not even most doctors.

    In my 4th year as vegan and will be 64 before the year is out.
    Whether you believe in god or not Jehovahs plan for eating the right food is in Genesis and started in the garden of Eden.
    Many passages of the bible reinforce this,another is Daniel 1 v16.

  32. I agree. Any kind of meat smells absolutely horrible to me now. Milk is like auto-barf material. It smells spoiled and dead. I've been vegan since 2016. Blueberries, Carrots, Hummus, seasoned tofu, rice, beans, corn, broccoli, spinach, peas, a good salad, man! Nectar of the gods. I can't believe I used to eat so much crap and contribute to harming so many animals. 😞My unconscious speciesism reminds me of Proverbs 14:15. "The simple believes every word, but the wise look well to where they are going." Think outside of the box in ALL things.

  33. Well, I’ve discovered that I can’t eat vegan or vegetarian diet. I get very sick. My blood sugar gets all whacked, I feel weak, brain, fog, bloating and inflammation from all the beans and grains, and not enough dang pro Tien. If you can’t process, legumes, or grains, what in on earth are you going to eat besides vegetables and fruit? And no I don’t eat chicken because I’m addicted to it. I eat it because I don’t want to eat cows, and because I don’t want to die from a diet that, for my particular body is not sufficient to sustain life. Power to all y’all that can, but I have found out that I cannot. So it’s all very well and good to proselytize a plant-based diet, but at the end of the day, if you don’t have compassion for your fellow humans who can’t follow this holier than thou diet then you’ve missed a big chunk of the point.
