Low-sodium V-8 is pretty good…I usually have it for a mid-morning snack along with a palmful of raw organic pumpkin seeds or almonds.
But why? Is the tomato "cooked" to bring out not only the lycopene but something more?
It'd be wonderful if you could post it to this specific video on nutritionfacts. org. This way more people benefit from the response, and I can actually provide you with links (which I can't do on Youtube). Thanks!
try the low-sodium V-8…no sugar is added.
We always enjoy your vids! Tnx!

OK … this is truly fascinating … as are tomatoes. BUT, we know from stats that in some quantifiable way that I do know that cooked tomatoes are supposed to have more nutrition than raw tomatoes. So, is it the cooking, i.e. pasteurization that is what makes tomato juice "healthier" and does that mean if I just shove tomatoes into my juicer that the juice that comes out will NOT be healthier than eating tomatoes raw?
Was this freshly juiced juice or freshly bought juice? I mean with time the antioxdant capacity will go down…
I wonder how a smoothie made from each fruit in this study would compare to chewing the whole fruit
What kind of juice was tested? Off the grocery store shelf, or homemade cold pressed?
Does blender go to juice category?
INTERESTING….
WAT ABOUT KAYL??????
The study flashed on the screen shows "processed" fruit juice, not fresh. Processing removes most nutrients when pasteurization occurs and the air is removed for storage. Note the phrase from fresh fruit OR concentrate. This is a huge flawed study.
haha!

the reason for this is that tomato juice is not made from whole tomatoes, but from concentrated paste of dried ones. hence the antioxidant concentration is higher
