  1. Corn on the cob is harvested immature and is usually of varieties very different from that used industrially. If you think of corn varieties used for cornbread or corn tortillas, you’re a bit closer to the stuff used as raw material for a mess of things.

  2. Corn tortillas don't seem to give me the same problems as flour.I was surprised that Sushi Rice immediately leads to bloating.I wonder if A Blood type has more problems with lectins.

  3. Dr Baker I've been eating mostly ground beef and eggs for a couple months and am losing significant weight lately with my breath meter my ketone level has been around 2.7 since you are a long term carnivore I was wondering will it stay at that level or decrease

  4. Hahahaa!!! So TRUE!! Did you know that corn is the ONLY commodity subsidized by our government?!?! Yep, to the tune of billions per year!! I call it the "Government Corn System"… it's the way they keep us all feeling full, getting sick, and using their buddies (Big Pharma) drugs. Cut all corn out of your life, especially the ultra processed corn!! That includes your meats (animals made to suffer to eat the governments extra corn)!!!!

  5. They don't bother selling GM corn in Western Europe due to customer sentiment. Safest grain is basmati rice … lowest levels of arsenic.

  6. Yes, the ricochet of the machine-gun fire from the toilet bowl as we sit down to open our bowels. The yellow bits would certainly gives new meaning to the notion of an Army kernel.

  7. The irony for me is that Southwest Indians are all about their corn….corn goddess and all. The irony is what you specified in this video…..95% of all corn produced is genetically modified. Add in their spiritual emphasis on ancestral worship….Their ancestors did not eat this corn!

  8. If your gut health is good you can eat almost anything. I dont eat corn often but when I do there’s no issues. The corn probably has less pesticides though here in Europe.

  9. I find it interesting because one of the Amish Farms I purchase from that is very strict, grows their own Organic Corn and makes cornmeal from it, as well as use it as feed for their chickens/pigs.

Maybe this is just an issue with GMO(now known as "Bioengineered") foods

  10. But it’s okay to eat a ton of beef and animals that are fed on corn? Cause essentially all of our meat products are fed on corn and grains. The last month of their lives are allowed to ear some grass so they can slap the label “grass fed” on it.

  11. Seeds don't digest on purpose. They are meant to be eaten, gain bacteria and enzymes in the stomach, and then get crapped out into an environment that they will grow in.

This is the Symbiotic relationship between Plants and Humans.

  12. I'm not sure if I'm sensitive to corn or not, but I DO know it's a bunch of carbs I really don't need. I haven't eaten actual corn in years, and since I do almost no processed stuff, I'm not getting it that way. What I didn't know is that corn is one component of erythritol.

  13. Growing up on a farm, I always thought that corn was a very inefficient to grow. Huge tall plant with all the leaves and ears and shucks and cobs. Of all that mass, only the tiny kernels are edible and actually only the center part of them.

  14. Shawn you are obviously completely wrong about this and trying to spread misinformation. I saw a video of Bill Gates talking up a storm about how great corn is for us and maybe that's why he's buying up so much farm land. He just wants all of us to have such a great food at cheap prices. He's such a philanthropist that I can't imagine he'd push something that he would profit from as it harms all that eat it. wait….. my steak is done cooking. Gotta go!

  15. All grains have some version of gluten. I have a celiac friend who has the most problems from rice gluten.
I am gluten intolerant. The traditional gluten grains cause me extreme problems, but do better avoiding all grains.

  16. I eat corn on the cob a couple of times a year. Oh, but I do love corn chips with salsa. All in modest portions 🍻.

  17. Took a school trip to North Head sewage plant in Sydney aus and saw a dump truck full of undigested corn and wondered why you'd bother eating it

  18. I come from Africa where maize meal is a staple of several cultures (including my own). My parents used to cook it as breakfast porridge with margarine and sugar (BLEGH) or eat it as a savoury with BBQ meat practically every single day. I never liked it, but my mom forced me to eat it (as most moms force the vegetables in).
Before I went carnivore, I legit thought that it was natural to feel bloated, sore and stuffed after a meal. I thought that is how everyone feels after eating. Imagine my surprise when I realized a meat/ eggs diet leaves you satisfied without the bloating, discomfort and chronic gastritis!

  19. No longer hv any corn. Don't want it, don't miss it, EXCEPT for popcorn. I no longer make it….but do miss it. I suppose it's also bad??🤔

  20. Cows and ducks like to eat corn. I hate the stuff. Interestingly I have grown popping corn and have made it for get togethers at my home. It tastes good but I avoid it personally. My rule has been not to eat leaves, stems, seeds or roots. Meat and eggs are always good, dairy is good if fermented and some fruit in season doesn't seem to hurt.

  21. Corn on the cob has never bothered me but I don't eat it often. I do have an insatiable appetite for nuts, though, which are lectin and phytate bombs.

  22. I once ate some delish keto ice cream sweetened with Erythritol. I ended up with a massive 2-day hangover. Thought I was going to die. Thanks corn!

  23. I think HFCS deserves a quick mention. When HFCS is made it ends up being high in fructose although the corn itself isn't….

  24. Corn can be a wonderful food. It has supported empires…..BUT it has to be mixed with limestone which makes it edible and nutritious and digestible.
Indigenous people often used baked or burned shells to do this.
Also the native strains are smaller and more colourful.
Native peoples, even if they ate some grains and vegetables, always had a way of processing or fermenting these foods which made them digestible and made the nutrients available.
We have no idea how to handle food anymore.

  25. YEP…!!! 😊👍 As I understand it, It you ate nothing but corn, the results would be that
you would get Fat- Sick- Aggressive and/or crazy.. and Then – You would DIE…!!! Bon Appétit -70SomethingGuy

  26. Did you know that most corn crops are to feed the farm animals worldwide? If corn is that unhealthy, you should also avoid eating animals, don’t you think?

  27. Thank you for another great video Dr. Baker! It is amazing how many terrible things are in corn yet people keep eating it! Maybe they enjoy seeing whole kernels in their poo! Haha Seriously thought, it is scary how it is in everything….except meat! ☺️ That’s why everyone should go carnivore!

  28. This is the major problem with all those carnivore dieters. They are so immature to admit they are the problem with their unhealthy body. It is always something or someone else’s fault. If you have a peanut allergy, sure peanuts are poison. It never occurs to them they are the problem with their unhealthy body. Sure, if you destroyed your health with junk food your whole life, almost everything healthy that your body is not able any longer to digest is like poison to you. The only thing your body is used to is animal products. So no symptoms occur eating them . But that doesn’t mean animal products are healthy. It takes a while before getting trouble with eating animal products only. So don’t be delusional. It took me 10 years before I found out a carnivore diet is not healthy. After my whole body collapsed. All red blood cells sticking together because pollution of the blood by animal products, saturated fats and cholesterol. Where you are heading I already have been there.

  29. If you are not reading the ingredient list then you are not doing yourself any favors. Of course, if you just eat meat there is no need to worry about added ingredients.

  30. Ah corn….I am 65 and back in the day I loved going out and picking corn and eating it. It had a special place in my heart…..little did I know the dangers, which goes to show you the importance of keeping an open mind and not doing what so many people do and that is only listening to information that aligns with their bias. Cheers.
