My “All In” Journey // 5,000+ Calories per day!

For the past three months, I have been “all-in” with unconditionally listening to my hunger cues and eliminating most forms of exercise. After 12 long months and a lot of soul-searching, I have finally recovered my period and my life. In this video, I share the intimate details of my journey and where I go from here.

16 Risposte a “My “All In” Journey // 5,000+ Calories per day!”

  1. What a journey. You're doing great! Again, thank you for sharing with us. I can't imagine the digestion issues during this experience. How is your digestion now? Did you find out if there is anything going on with your hip? What is your natural body type/genetics? Sounds like you were really going against the state at which your body wanted to exist.

  2. Do you think you would’ve gotten faster results or less bloating or quicker satiation had you eaten animal proteins? I’m vegan and probably need more calories for similar issues but I’m afraid all the plant food never satiates me

  3. Sorghum is delicious! You taught me to try it. This sounds very much like my recovery from anorexia. I'm glad to hear you are recovering!

  4. Sounds like a lot of the same issues ex vegans share. I here high fat is great for female hormones. Including animal foods would probably help.

  5. Congratulations you’ve achieved your health goal. I can only imagine what you’re going through with weight gain. I know when I put on weight and have to buy new clothes it’s hard. I have some negative self talk and am not kind to myself. So I hope you’ve been kind to yourself during this process! I’ve been watching your videos for years and I had no idea what your were going through. I’m just glad you’re doing better and working towards your new normal.

  6. Lovely Karli, once again thank you so much for being honest and sharing your very personal and professional journey, I too am an all-or-nothing person and find it hard to be balanced and moderate sometimes, whether it's with diet or exercise so I understand what you're going through. It is terrifying to go all in because whenever it's happened to me (after restricting too much and not getting enough nutrients) I couldn't stop and ended up becoming seriously overweight and very unhappy very quickly, which is also not healthy. So I hope you have a healthier attitude than me and start eating and exercising again in a balanced way as it's also very important to be happy with our body and weight and to feel good in clothes. In my case gaining weight did not make me more energetic or productive and definitely not healthy as I just feasted on junk food.

  7. Thank you so very much for being so transparent about your struggles.
I give you so much credit.
I do not think that I could ever do what you have done.
    Again, thank you!!!
