  1. Liquor store bro, my ID got rejected by my local liquor store because it was an under 21 ID. But it wasnt expired and had my birthday stating i was 21 on it. She said i was obligated to update it but none of the other liquor stores or gas stations care and it even scans fine. Is she crazy or was she justified? I live in new york state and all my research took me to other laws i didnt need to know.

  2. There is about 7 calories per gram from alcohol so liquor is about 70 calories per shot if it's just alcohol, beer is higher since it has carbs and alcohol, wine has more carbs and alcohol then beer so more calories.

  3. my understanding is that in the US alcohol actually cant have labels on it for some reason relating to the government not wanting them to advertise based on "nutritional value" like vitamins in the stuff

  4. It's the same in the UK, for some reason alcoholic drinks don't have to disclose the ingredients…. I think it's to do with old laws that don't treat alcohol as a normal foodstuff to try and discourage people from drinking….it's really stupid

  5. i’ve come to realize that most people are surprised and uneducated when it comes to the caloric content of alcohol. even a standard size shot of vodka is around 80cal. add sugar + more shots = easily racking up the calories.

  6. Wasn't an issue when it was whiskey and vodka but if the dunkin iced coffees or the hard monsters don't have like crayon bits and plutonium them I would be genuinely shocked

  7. I've honestly never noticed because the only thing I really look for is caffeine content and I just assume that most alcohol does not contain caffeine

  8. We as a people can band together, protest, and get nutritional information required on alcoholic products too. We can do it, it probably wouldn't take too much pressure to get the government to wonder what they're drinking too.

  9. Yeast turn sugar into alcohol and alcohol turns back into sugar inside your body. Drinks can have no added sugar but its physically impossible to have alcohol with 0 carbs

  10. Just take it for granted that there is some sugar in it. Alcohol requires carbohydrates and yeast. Every carb known to man has some sort of sugar in it. I do agree that the carbs used should be disclosed, whether fruit, vegetable, or grain.

  11. They are making the customer seem like a Karen but they are right. Alcohol companies should have to list the same nutritional values and ingredients. It makes no sense.

  12. the issue with trying to put sugar content for any alcoholic drink is the fact it all turns to sugar in ur system reason diabetics shouldnt drink, hasnt stopped me non with moderation XD

  13. Here in Canada, alcohol companies have to give you nutritional values of their product ONLY IF they make any sort of health related claims. If they say "no carbs" or "low sugar", then they have to give you the full nutritional breakdown.

  14. Yeah it will only have nutrition facts for promotion. If they dont claim to have no sugar or low sugar, I assume it has as much as a soda.

  15. Putting nutrition facts can open them up for lawsuits if they get somethin wrong so I can’t blame them for not doing it if they aren’t required to
