Come possiamo abbassare l'attività dell'enzima dell'invecchiamento senza restrizione calorica?

  1. its true that human kind is born to live 200years ? we as humans are very sensitive to cold, warm, viruses, acidents etc that make me think we are living a lot more than we are built to
    p.s im medical student

  2. Dr. Greger i LOVE your videos!! They are so great. Thanks so much for the effort you put in them and the frequency you upload!! <3

  3. Why is it some people smoke cigarettes and eat bacon and eggs 3 or 4 times a week and live well into their 80's and other people live a relatively healthy lifestyle and get cancer and die at 44 ? I understand how eating well and exercise gives us a better quality of life but I have to wonder if we all have a personal expiration date regardless of how we live.

  4. cancer seems immune to or has deleted autophapyic genes.. and resveratrol acts strong on autophacyic receptors. fish oil seems to do this as well a process that may be important from Arteriosclerosis( build up of plaque ) Alzheimer's( glucose toxicity?)

when taking about aging we should also cover Telomeres( DNA end caps)

the last thing we should take about is young blood plasma replacement. if you link the blood supply of a old mouse to a young mouse and wound the old one it heals faster then if it were left to heal on its own… this may u turn us into a theory that blood loss could Accelerate aging and Replacing it with younger eight blood say baby( Highly unethical right now) may reduce it.

dr would love to hear you cover this stuff in depth

  5. I you should also cover the placebo of aging are we as old as we feel? can we ignore the ache or reduces it impact on us by simple saying most importantly believe I am not that old. a couple studies have covered this

  6. I don't think that calorie restriction and longevity theory is right. I saw a guy go from being vegan to breatharianism and in just 4 years he lost almost half of his teeth. I don't think a diet that makes you fall apart will help you live long. The only thing I've seen make people live long is a diet abundant in fruits, vegetables, grains, and other plant foods.

  7. Two major chimp studies on CR [sorry no time to dig out references]

1st decades ago said yes it worked
    2nd recent said nope

They reckoned the first study fed the control group a bad diet, so the CR group lived comparably longer by default.

I was on CR at the time of the 2nd.

Quite relieved it didn't work. Gave up. ahhh food.

  8. Fascinating.  Well, except for classical evolution to work, we needed to die to produce newer, better more adapted models – but that is an obsolete idea now that humans have gotten to the phase we are … even if we do not have the wisdom to pick out own paths sustainably.  Where do I get the antidote! 😉

  9. You are amazing, I recommend your videos everyone I know, I just want to say, thank you so much for the work you do!!!

  10. I'd say another life saving vid by Dr. Greger is yet to come! :))) Dr. Greger, I sent you a request via personal message on YouTube, on sharing your explosive information. Would love and appreciate your response!

  11. I know breathing air causes free radicals to enter the body and start the break down of cells in the body, one way to combat free radicals is to counter it with antioxidants.

  12. dr , I have taught you better…ROS….REACTIVE OXYGEN SPECIES…NEED I SAY MORE …AND TO ALL EAT LEAN MEAT, WORKOUT, AVOID A VEGETARIAN DIET, BECAUSE IT LACKS IN BCAA'S, EAT FOODS WITH CHOLESTEROL, DRINK LOTS OF WATER…IF YOU WISH TO DISCUSS FURTHER FRIEND ME ON FACEBOOK OR CALL ME 734-320-5790…and lastly elvis is the god of music and ayn rand is the god of philosophy ….THANK YOU !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  13. I watched a documentary about life extension, videos about concepts in transhumanism (which I'm neither for nor against) and even visited a website dedicated to research into life extension. I am noticing people getting diseases for elderly people much earlier in life and my friends and family who are still young getting MS and cancer… people who are my age (and I'm in my 20s)! I am now vegan, have lost 35lbs, and drink plenty of water b/c I don't want to end up like that. I want to live a long, HEALTHY life and calorie restriction is not that lifestyle at all. Can't wait for the next video. I'm super curious to learn more about new and old methods of prolonging health and vitality.

  14. I totally believe in bacteria. I believe we even chose our sexual partners according to their bacteria population and strands. Lately I started taking bacteria supplements and I have the feeling they make me smell younger again.

  15. I hope your followup video will cover Intermittent Fasting (two nonconsecutive days of 500-calories for women, 600-calories for men per day, a/k/a the 5:2 Diet).  I just started that this past week and am really liking the effects of it.  I feel really great not only during the fasting days (yes, I am hungry but that's to be expected) and also on the days AFTER fasting…much more energy than before.  Of course, there is also the resultant weight loss.  How does the science look on this?  Hope Dr. Greger shows us next 🙂

  16. Fantastic! This and the next video: "Caloric Restriction vs. Animal Protein Restriction" is the killer one-two punch for good health!

  17. WE AGE BECAUSE OF POOR EATING HABITS SUCH AS ANIMAL AND DAIRY PRODUCTS NO MATTER HOW MUCH YOU WANT TO BE IN DENIAL @ SUCH, OR BELIEVE PHONY REPORTS–WE AGE BECAUSE OF NOT DEALING WITH STRESS PROPERLY—AND VERY IMPORTANTLY WE STRESS DUE TO NOT CLEANING OUT LIVER STONES WHICH IMPAIR THE BODY'S FUNCTIONS MORE AND MORE OVER TIME.  DON'T EXPECT ANY DOCTOR TO TEACH YOU ABOUT LIVER STONES, THEY'RE NOT TRAINED TO NOT PROVIDE YOU WITH A PRESCRIPTION IN MOST CASES.  HEY IF YOU DETOX YOUR BODY AND CLEAN OUT THE GARBAGE, AND THEN STAY DEDICATED TO ORGANIC RAW VEGAN FOODS DIET, YOU'LL BE GOLDEN AND YOUNG FOREVER, BUT DON'T EXPECT MOST DOCS TO EDUCATE YOU ON SUCH.

  18. horse crap. 16 years. many scholars through time lived into their 70's. due to reliable food and healthcare plus better hygiene kids mortality rates no longer offset average lifespans numbers. use some commonsense

  19. I think it's a combination of good looks, genes,  personality and the occasional cup of green tea.

I've smoked 20 a day for 20 years, I'm on my daily dose of 10 cans of strong cider as I write– ( I know, it's a matter of time before the big one)
But, seriously- would you want to live like a shrewed up gink. drinking bitter hibiscus juice, with his kids saying 'where's the money from these YouTube Videos? We wanna have a BarbQ like everyone else- why do we have to be the weirdoes??

  20. In fact- any literature to support the hypothesis that more attractive people live longer? Of course there is! By definition!
But, shortly get a skew on how plant eating bald people are happier and their vegetarian spouses find broccoli sprouts in beards really nice,, by 10%

  21. Intermittent fasting can induce autophagy, without all the nasty side effects of caloric restriction, depending on how it's done of course.

  22. Why do we age?
You mean, why after decades of living and evolving we have yet to retain a youthful glow?
We age as we do because most of us suck at living right.

  23. That's funny that he mentions emotional deadening. I think I might have a little bit of that because after I've gone in the journey of intermittent fasting I don't seem to get stressed out by many things anymore. Hmmm

  24. Incidentally, mTOR is activated more than anything, by leucine, which is found in highest quantities in animal protein, hence, animal protein is a carcinogen, whereas plant protein isn't.

I commenti sono chiusi.
