  1. I'd never even recommend eating fava beans to people in general. I mean… who's going to go get a DNA test so they can eat a bean!? It's pretty ridiculous really. I have an unopened bag in my pantry, calling out to me. But alas, I may never muster the courage to cook them!!! 😨 Looks like it's chickpeas again tonight!

  2. Beans have so many health benefits, but also have some dietary and chemical challenges. I bet we could breed them to reduce or remove those components. We've done it before. Potatoes used to be poisonous. I have a feeling it's not going to happen, though :/

  3. G6PD deficient patients may be contradicted with all beans and not just Fava beans. Please make a video series about g6pd deficiency as it hinders our ability to follow the daily dozen.

Also many people are left undiagnosed with G6PD. If you never had Fava beans PLEASE BE CAREFUL AND DONT CONSUME LARGE AMOUNTS OF FAVA BEANS AT ONCE IF YOU NEVER HAD THEM BEFORE. You may enter a hemolytic crisis if you are G6pd deficient. ~20% of males from African/Asian origin are G6PD deficient and it is the most prevalent enzyme deficiency in the world impacting hundreds of millions of people.

  4. It'd be interesting to see a video on foods and/or herbs that assist in making chemotherapy or radiation therapy more effective while helping to protect the body and reduce negative side effects. Apparently this does not apply to therapy of chemo medications that are in the Alkalinizer therapy .If remember correctly these same foods or herbs make the chemo medications in the Alkalinizer category less effective. Also be aware their may be other non chemo drugs that are in the Alkalinizer category.

  5. So….curiously, do you think eating fava beans if you DON'T have Parkinson's helps to prevent you from getting Parkinson's?? Anyone care to comment? Or is this only useful for those who are afflicted with this horrible disease? One would think that perhaps eating these would help to relieve whatever organ in your body which I think is in your brain from making L-dopa….so, I'm guessing it should help, then again, its my understanding that Parkinson's is an auto-immune disease as it has nothing to do with the organ that produces it wearing out…..what say you? Anyone?

  6. Hillarious always looking for correlation in fat when in terms of calories whole milk has almosr as many calories in carbs as fat.

You still havent come to terms of the reality that probably almost all diet related issues are tied to over consumption of high calorie quickly digested foods. Hence why processed grain/seed comprises the majority of calories in American diets. The corrolation of dairy to Alzheimers is obviously metabolici issus combined with lack of exercise or movement. Not because exercise is good for weight loss, because its critical for healthy metabolism and cardio vascular health. Bet if a study was done contrasting obesity/high body fat, metabolic dysfunction like diabetes, etc and alzheimers you would see a very big correlation.

  7. Diabetes mellitus and Parkinson's disease are both aging-associated diseases that are turning into epidemics worldwide. Diabetes mellitus and insulin resistance not only increase the possibility of developing Parkinson's disease but can also determine the prognosis and progression of Parkinsonian symptoms.
All goes back to what i think are at the core of mostly all disease humans face over consumption of food habitually leading to metabolic dysfunction, leading to insulin resistance, leading to a sugar and fat storage problem manifested as ectopic fat in organs and organ damage. Liver, pancreas, brain.
You coukd get there eating a high animal based diet except that isnt what constituted the SAD and what got us to this juncture. It is highly processed grain and seed based foods which are devoid of fiber. Are readily bioavailable calorically. Flood the blood stream with habitually fast absorbing calories with no where to go. There is your parkinson, diabetes, heart disease links and many many other diseases not generally seen in nature. Why, because in nature animals dont eat grain and seeds typicaly alone, if they eat them they are as part of the whole plant. Leave it to humans to take the animal out of our diets promoting disease.

  8. Will they help with essential tremors? I have been shaking since I was 11 years old. I am 46 now. I tried medication in my early twenties but it only made me tired.
