  2. Last year when I had my heart attack, I attended a nutrition talk put on by the hospital. The nutritionist claimed it was ok for us to eat one egg a day. I objected but was not listened to. 

  3. You mention egg substitutes. Are egg whites a reasonable egg substitute? Do all these bad effects come from the yolks, primarily?

  4. Fantastic Review Dr. Greger!  Wouldn't it be a wonderful thing is these videos were shown in place of car/truck commercials!!!  Keep up the great work.  Good Show!

  5. I wish he would put a summary at the end of the video e.g. Bottom-line egg consumption worsen arterial function. He presents the facts but for the regular person we need a simple concluding statement at the end of the video.

This report highlights the issue of purpose and interpretation.  Dr. Greger does well and means well but one has to question the result of the information.  There is a lot of woofing about harmful aspects of certain foods but little help and advice.  Not eating eggs is not the answer; the takeaway should be that cholesterol is high in the average population, one should do what he can to get better LDL-HDL ratios and better health in general.  Other than the walnut report, there is little here to help with that.  Thank you Dr. Greger for the raw information you provide because this is not seen very much on the internet or elsewhere.  Readers and viewers, I hope this whets you appetite for information and doesn't just bum you out.  Keep searching.

  7. I stopped eating eggs because of this guy.  I just want to be healthy.  If it means giving up eggs and fast food .. thats a fair trade!

  8. Colesterol actually is good for you; You need collesterol and 244 is not to much but is just right. Watch my playlist on cancer and listen to other doctors and you might wake up. unless you are paid by drug companies to disinform people.

  9. These studies are a joke. It makes me understand that people feel confused by 'all the contradictory scientific research results'. The people responsble for these studies are really close to being scammers. I'm glad we have Dr Greger exposing these kinds of research results.

It could be possible that minerals are more of importance than cholesterol, and eggs don't have the minerals plant foods do, but cholesterol is still needed so eggs are ok to eat if high plant food consumption is in diet. It maybe inflammation and not fat that is the real cause behind this study. Fat/Cholesterol is good for you because your brain and body functions depend on fat and are made of it.

  11. What about the anti egg studies that are known to be funded by drug companies trying to sell statins? Most open minded doctors who have done the research now say that heart disease is caused by inflammation and free radical damage not by dietary cholesterol. This guy is biased by his vegan agenda.

  12. I Prefer a good ol American hamburger for breakfast instead of those egg mcmuffins.  That's why I'm changing my breakfast visits to Burger King. 

  13. there is so much BS information in the food industry. These videos really light the way to a healthy lifestyle.

    I used to eat what I thought I was healthy diet that contained eggs, dairy and lean meat. And it was killing me, I couldn't understand why this!? Its supposed to be good for you right?

    Getting educated about food, going Vegan and Giving up Eggs and Dairy has absolutely turned my life around within months. I dont eat meat either but I actually think the biggest improvements for me have come from not eating Eggs & Dairy. Its basically just poison. No other way to put it.

  14. I just do not understand how this farcical science can be tolerated … this implies  a complete corruption of the media, the economy, the professions, … just about everything, for the sake of some really psychotic people who just want everyone's money at the price of their health.  

  15. I eat at least four eggs a day, but no 'bad' meat, only fish or bison, and otherwise healthy. Hopefully my arteries are doing okay…

  16. hmm… should i trust you, or mercola…. I think I'm going to still eat eggs. you need cholesterol. don't eat fast food if you have too much. and I'm finished with these videos too. no more trust anyway.

You have many great info in most of your videos, however, you have missed the new emerging paradigm.  High cholesterol is not and has never been the issue: Inflammation caused by a high carb diet, OXIDIZED cholesterol and high heat cooking (frying, charring) are the real cause of heart disease as well as many degenerative diseases.  Please do your research more accurately.

People have been eating egg for thousands of years.  Eggs are an excellent source of nutrition for humans.  Always have been…are…and always will be.  If you have atherosclerosis, don't blame eggs… blame grains, sugar, hydrogenated vegetable & canola oils, and all that inflammatory crap.  IMHO.

  19. Im confused… Im vegetarian, I dont drink milk but sometimes I eat eggs (from ecologic and free chicken) and I have my cholesterol fine. I eat them boiled or fried and I have never had cholesterol. I have to say that I eat very healthy food too…But this video make me confused, I dont know what to do

  20. it is already well established that for cancer to live, glucose must be present. a high fat diet is known to treat epilepsy, lower Insulin by encouraging the production of ketone bodies which the brain can function on quite well. your organs ie. liver & brain are made up of fatty tissue which needs to be replaced over time and fat is a building block. DHA Omega 3 for example. I'm staying on a high fat diet. I feel fine. my body fat is sitting on 11% (dexa scan) combined with the benefits of intermitten fasting. I can focus with consistent energy levels all day long. Low fat diet can take a hike.

  21. quick question. chimps being our closest evolutionary relatives are omnivores just like us. they eat certain types of eggs and other small mammals. what observations have been made on the chimps regarding their health ? when we say "eggs" there is no mention what the hens have been fed, are hormones, antibiotics, steroids involved? or are the eggs pastured & organic? free Roaming hens eating grass and bugs, fed grains. Natural diet

    see studies on meat are based on unhealthy livestock, fed soy (unnatural diet) and are dosed with the above mentioned chemicals. where are the studies on organic free range grass fed livestock ? this is certainly a huge variable, always overlooked and goes unmentioned.

    think logically about this. unhealthy animals produce unhealthy products. unhealthy product consumed = unhealthy people ^_^ and vice versa

  22. Many natural cures WORK because they simply allow the body’s healing power to do it’s thing. That’s the basis for all these miracle cures. What to do to “allow the body”? well there’s more than one way to do it, Shane Zormander’s hive cures (which I found in googl) is one good example.

  24. I know this might be after the event, but does Dr G know of any studies that considered the 2 component parts (yolks & whites) of eggs independently in relation to arterial function?

    Simple logic would suggest that yolks would cause damage (being nearly all fat) while whites would be beneficial (being nearly all protein)?

    Of course the real world is never that simple, which is why studies might deliver useful data, even if funded by the Egg Board!
