  1. Good morning! I haven't found any information on Nutrition Facts regarding Fibroadenoma, a non-cancerous breast tumor found most commonly in young women. Any specific dietary recommendation for shrinking existing fibroids, besides following your daily dozen and a wfpb diet? Thanks!

  2. Is it fine to take salt if you're prescribed it for dysautonomia/POTS/low BP?

Could you please not slur your words when you're reading the questions?

I didn't get advance notice either.

  3. SO glad you're going to doing a video on Dupont! Chemicals C8, PFTE, PFOA and ILAG (non-stick coating) need to be talked about! Continuing to love what you do!

  4. White potatoes are actually healthy! There's a lot of iodine in the peels. I never eat seaweed because I get my iodine from potatoes. Iodine in foods is much healthier than in supplement form.

  5. @maxx increase No they don't. Beans increase survival. Animal products especially dairy and eggs got a lot of estrogen. Estrogen is only a worry in beans eating to much soy that is in 3 or more servings. Get away from dairy especially but also eggs, meats and other animal products.

  6. My acne cleared when I stopped taking b complex supplement and cut way back on how often I take b12. Coincidence? Maybe. Not testing it to make sure. I was taking 1500mcg and b complex daily not aware it was too much. 🤦

  7. Dear Dr. Gregor,

I saw a debate where the meat eater brought up the fact that fermented insoluble fiber gets turned into short chained fatty acids AKA saturated fat. If saturated fat is bad for you when you ingest it, why is it beneficial when in the formed in the colon? Whats the difference? I know the devil is in the details. Is it specific types of saturated fat that makes the difference or when and how the saturated fat is used? Is the butyrate, propionate and acetate, whatever they are called (probably misspelled also), in food we can eat to get these benefits, or are the benefits linked only to the fermentation process?

This is bothering me becuase the problem is obscured with the language calling it either saturated fat or short chained fatty acids, though it is the same thing. I know you mentioned the benefits of fiber in your videos but you also mentioned the negative effects on having saturated fat in your food. This is causing me confusion.

  8. I like Dr Greger but wish he would be more open and clearer that he makes money from his charity. I have no problem for him earning in this way, it's just that he portrays it slightly differently than it is. Everything goes to the charity and I get a salary from the charity and all payments out of the charity are approved by the board of X people of which he is one. Obviously he recuses himself from voting on his salary other than as the recipient thereof.

I think it would be good to cut financial ties with Dr Joel Fuhrman to avoid the potential perception of a conflict of interests due to all the things he sells (i.e. supplements). These potential conflicts seem to have been raised related to certain food/supplements. It may be that the charity can do work with his organization but everything should be fully disclosed, where appropriate.

I do not what to stifle the efforts you are making just make them above reproach! That way we all know we can trust everything you say & do.

Thanks for all your work up until now and in the future.

  9. Would you consider doing an interview with Jeff from Veg. source? He claims some of your videos are not sourced as accurately as you claim?

  10. Are you saying you're too busy to go to Alaska? Can you edit one of your books when you're traveling on the airplane? What arab countries have you been too?

  11. can you do some videos on pineapple and cacao nibs for muscle gains? i love the vids on muscle recovery you made on cherries watermelon and ginger! can you do some vids on that? love your work! 😀

  12. Because Dr Michael Greger is the only person who for heroic effort stamina and good will not to mention his stellar background in conventional medical background … doesn't seem personally invested in outcomes … nutritionfacts.org ? pays himself a salary? His private life apart from the treadmill is his own? He is not a guru? Changes his mind when reliable data shows up? Gets really excited about new research about … right now perhaps circadian rhythms, all in context. I do follow as a recovering addict (10 yrs) a fully plant-based whole food vegan diet. I understand the podcaster Rich Roll, vegan, extreme athlete, environmental advocate, 12 step person; this way of life really does save lives. So far it is saving mine.

  13. oy lots of pressure … anxiety disorder began 28 yrs old cold shower before and after swimming, stopped hyperventilating, got to work on time. The swimming pool did save my life and my Dad's who needed me to be on board; alzheimers, etc. 86. So wake up with a cold shower, the rest is up to each of us. Really good question, for me, more about mental health, stress, and then I made sensible choices. good luck young man.

  14. I got "acne" like spots on my face for many years, until I figured out what was causing it. Citrus. I was allergic to citrus. When I stopped all the citrus, my "acne" cleared up. I even got them from mangos too.

  15. What brand of treadmill do you use? I recently saw a Q&A you did where you said you walk 17 miles/day, so since I am looking to buy a new treadmill or perhaps an elliptical I thought you'd be the guy to ask. Do you have a video about exercise equipment, for home use, and which is best? If not maybe you can make a video on the topic. Thanks Dr. Greger 😁

  16. Love you boss, I think like you, not to waste time, you answer questions while on treadmill, but looks so weird that you don’t have paitence to reply to your patients questions, anyway your way, love you , love to see your energy, wish I could I have do much, love you

  17. saying things like, "We know" about animal protein vs plant protein, makes you very incredible… and in a bad way, not a good one. You may be convinced of the studies you've read about (assuming you didn't perform or replicate any) But I'm not convinced that convincing You of anything should make me believe Your assertions of what We know, or don't know. In fact, your certainty makes me suspect, you don't know. I'd refer you to Jacob Bernowski https://brians.wsu.edu/2016/10/12/jacob-bronowski-knowledge-or-certainty-study-guide/

  18. You are going a great job educating people on nutrition. Please not that almost every time you stop a sentence you start with “aaahm.” It is detracting from your message as your brains pick up un the frequency and then wait and listen for the next one. We are no longer comfortable with your message. You can change this with a simple breathing exercise. Contact me, I can help you free of charge, simply because I believe in your message.

  19. "no one should be adding salt to their meals"
b-but there's this genetic defect that I have that makes me lose way more salt than normal human beings and if I don't put salt in my food, I get salt deficient. 🙁

  20. Jaxon Basra Unlike yourself!!! Qualified Professional bodies have done the test ( So you don't have to ) according to the EFSA fish & SEAFOOD!! 21. Got the HNTD book 12/11 via preorder Amazon. Its huge w kind of small print…good idea to put references online- kind of hard to balance it laying in bed reading… which I'm not supposed to do anyway… very dense- tons of info and Im only on page 65/570…It's great. Thx Dr. G

  22. Go to Asian market To buy seaweeds . Big sheet! It is for wrapping the rice , some of them dose not have no salt. Put seaweeds in soup, on salad, smoothy, warp your rice and veggies…too easy. Enjoy
