But doctors such as John McDougall MD, Caldwell Esselstyn, Dean Ornish and T. Colin Campbell and Neal D. Barnard all recommend a low fat vegan diet and also have significant research on that. what do you think about them?

I don't like the comparison of whole-foods vs. low-fat, it makes it seam that those on low-fat don't eat whole-foods. comparing low-fat vs. high-fat would be a better topic to discuss.
but why nuts raise cholesterol then???
