“Beans and whole grains are the dietary cornerstones of the longest living populations on Earth.”

The longest living populations reside in the Blue Zones and not only have daily exercise and social support and engagement, but, nutritionally, they all center their diets around plant foods. https://bit.ly/2OkZKsG

  1. I'd rather not eat grains or gluten, and I'm fine with that. I had someone from the plant-based organization in my region tell me we need grains. We don't need grains. Fruits, veggies, beans and legumes and a little bit of fats is all you need. You can even be fruitarian (done right), and you'd be fine. I have gut issues and brain fog issues, and I want to heal. Grains are potential gut and brain disrupters, and not very nutrient-dense. Just eat what makes you feel your best and what you align with. I don't align with grains or gluten.❤

  2. If you're concerned about gluten… the only grains with gluten are wheat, rye, and barley. The wonder of quinoa, buckwheat, etc. Await. Don't give up. You can do just fine without those 3.
