  1. 5 cups a day of Oolong green tea, a fermented Chinese tea, has helped with my psoriasis as well as detoxing. The taste takes getting used to.

  2. Hey, I just discovered that I can support the work of NutritionFacts.Org and Dr. Greger by selecting "NutritionFacts Org" as my Amazon Smile non-profit for donations! I just made a large Amazon purchase, and it's great to know that some of that money will go to help Dr. Greger and his staff to continue their extraordinary work of spreading the truth about nutrition and the importance of a plant-based diet!

  3. There are too many awkward pauses in this video. You can tell that they added time in between Dr. Greger's speech. It doesn't listen nicely.

  4. Dr. Greger and the NutritionFacts.org team, I like this rendering of the data done by Tyler McReynolds better than the previous video's rendering. What I like here is the highlighted and focusing on the specific sentence that Dr. Greger is referring to and quoting about. This directs the viewer to the relevant passage in the research and adds enhanced context. I also like the transition to the next research paper wherein the page is rendered and then, again, the relevant text is highlighted. All in all, the fact that the NutruitionFacts.org team is a) making enhancements and b) allowing fans and viewers to weigh in speaks volumes about all of you. You are spectacular and I am all the healthier for it all.

  5. I thought the presentation format of this video was much better than the last. The graphics cleanly presented the supporting information with out looking like an elementary slideshow. The pace and flow of dialog was also spot-on, no long pauses and not too quick.

  6. Thanks for an informative video.. is there any negative effects of the caffeine? if so, are these outweighed by the benefits?

  7. I drink organic green tea in the same mug that I drink organic coffee in. I infrequently wash it and I think that the tea disinfects it to a degree.

  8. Lol I drink 2 cups of matcha every day, and some of green tea infusion. My ancestors were from Okinawa (One of the Blue Zones, the place where people reach one hundred years easily). Maybe matcha is one of the reasons from these people.

  9. caffeine is a stimulant drug. caffeine is for the weak who can't get their energy from normal everyday food using caffeine is no different than using heroin or speed or any other hard drug it'll eventually wear you down and kill you don't believe the lies of green tea or coffee or any of the rest of it caffeine is a stimulant drug poison.

  10. GREAT – but why don't we just blend in the green tee leaves (after they have soked overnight – from bags or open) – If eating green tea is superior to just drinking the infusion, – as it was recommended doing with hibiscus … instead of using matcha powder wich is so much more expensive?

  11. Cant help but wonder if green tea can have a protective effect against today's wuhan corona virus, will definitely consider it, wouldnt hurt

  12. One of the superfoods to reduce the chance of contracting the virus du jour- Corona virus. Dr. Greger recommends apples, mushrooms, cooked kale and red wine too.

  13. I've used the cover pictures of this video on screen for a second at 3.33 min in my video of a sort of entertaining and awareness raising parody in Hindi of a Hindi film song. https://youtu.be/cbVR1RryA34 . Below is a link of the original song, a bizarre scenario of seduction for all that the playback singer is one of India's most popular singers having had a decades long career, and the actor on also screen had a hugely successful career. As did the lady actor, for decades the most popular in 'vamp' roles, a stock character type in those decades. The music and melody again by an immensely popular and successful music director are beautiful. The words are , "Come, do." Aao meaning Come which I have converted to Jao, Go, addressed to Corona. https://youtu.be/aeS64v6QopA . Thank you for this video. I hope my using the cover shot is all right. Thanks.

  14. Hello again. I've made another Corona virus parody song, this one's more peppy. Again I've used this video cover, at 4.57 min. Thanks again. https://youtu.be/lwpo0ogUtqg And this original Hindi song is a very enjoyable and charming video, grungy chic overall effect of lovestruck teenage boy and his gang dancing on the streets of Mumbai. Excellent video I think, very musical and entertaining. Bound to make you smile. He's asking the breeze to organise a meeting with a beautiful girl he has seen and is dying to meet. 😊. https://youtu.be/lrusoeIvetQ. In my parody I ask the breeze, Hawa, to blow Corona away. At 2.40 min I show a message on factory farming and at the end at 5.42 a message on vegan food.

  15. Dr. Greger,

I am curious to know if there is too much green tea consumption where it may become toxic?

For the past several months I have been cold brewing green tea and consuming 1.5 liters of Green Tea per day. I use three tea bags from the Kirkland Matcha Green Tea (Costco) and place them into a 1.5 liter bottle and cold brew in the fridge over night. I find this tastes the best not too bland and not too overpowering.

Is there such thing as too much of green tea?

    Thank you!

  16. I’m a green tea addict. I buy expensive Rishi whole leave sencha tea coming from Japan and also eat the leaves. Apparently, there’s a pregnancy concern related to green tea consumption and its antifolate properties. Here it’s said green tea interfeares with folate absorption leading to a reduction of folate levels crucial during pregnancy: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4557736/ any thoughts/recommendations? I wonder if Dr Gregor could elaborate/ comment on the subject. Thanks
