58 Risposte a “Can Green Tea Help Prevent Cancer?”

  1. We shouldnt treat foods like drugs. Inagining that all we have to do is add the "new found super fiood response to illness x" to our diet without giving up all the other crap and changing lifestyle.

The biggest anti cancer gains I have seen talked about by the scientists doing the research come through fasting and ketosis and removing cancet cell nutrition from your diet. SUGAR.

There is historical evidence of cancer cures using these methods and more research should be done. The reason it isnt is because no one ever made money telling patients not to eat.

  2. Hi, part of my family is Japanese (southern Japan) and we drink a lot of green tea. But it's different from the green tea here in the U.S., it's the very minimally processed/ grown under the shade, either Gyokuro or a variety very similar to it. My grandfather and his friends, all of whom smoked UNFILTERED cigarettes, all lived into their late 80s and late 90s in decent health up until the end despite being lifelong smokers. The only commonality they shared was diet and drinking boatloads of green tea all throughout the day every day, the last round being after dinner when my grandfather's buddies would come by and they would chat while drinking green tea. Food for thought, and it's something that I'd taken to heart, been drinking 4-6 cups of green tea since I was in college; does wonders for the skin too aside from the anti-cancer effects. I get compliments on my skin a lot and I always say it's from drinking green tea.

What I do now is I grind whole leaf Gyokuro tea with my Krups spice/ coffee grinder into fine powder. I then make instant tea with this powder, and drink my tea throughout the day in clinic. Sometimes I am so busy with seeing patients in clinic that I don't really have time to sit down and sip hot cup of tea, but I find ways to get my green tea in this way.

  3. Hi Dr. Gregger, I want to ask you a question about serving green tea hot or cold. does it make a difference in potential health benefits whether or not the tea is served immediately after brewing?

  4. Which green teas are we talking about? Or green teas in general? Are there any that are particularly potent/not potent in these regards? Should we soak green tea in cold water before pouring boiling water on them, or does this not matter? So many questions =P

  5. So about how many cups, or what is an optimal amount a day a person should drink to obtain the most benefits from green tea?

  6. So the answer is yes, wow😮 this was very interesting Now I want to know if green tea can cure cancer. I hope there is a study about that❤
I'm so curious and I can't wait for the next video.

  7. Matcha Green tea is better than the bagged green tea. Matcha is much more potent. Take a teaspoon of matcha powder, add below boiling water. Wait a few minutes then add a little orange juice and then pour over ice. It taste much better iced. You can get the matcha green tea powder on Amazon. It is called Tmatcha. You do not need to buy the "ceremonial grade".

  8. That is good! I drink matcha green tea every day , I love this stuff. But I like to drink it cold, will it have the same effect?

  9. I add lemon juice to my green tea because studies have shown it helps your body absorb the antioxidants, it also tastes good. Whatever you do don't add cows milk, studies have shown it blocks the antioxidants.

  10. Finally got around to ordering your book just now, excited to read it! Thank you for all the work you put into promoting a plant-based diet <3

  11. Green tea, garlic and psyllium husk have saved me from many complications. All three are great to prevent cancer. Thank you Dr. Greger.

  12. a couple years you were on a hibiscus tea kick and made a bunch of videos about how healthy it is. if you had to pick one, would it be hibiscus or green tea?

  13. Been drinking 2-3L of green tea (2 teabags in a glass jug) almost daily since green tea extract is an additive in "fat burners".

Glad to hear it has other benefits.

  14. My dog, whom I love dearly, was just diagnosed with bone cancer, and on the 13th, will have her front leg and shoulder amputated. I started her on green tea as soon as I got the diagnosis, as I drink it myself for health reasons as well as to replace coffee.

  15. Dear Dr. Greger and/or Volunteers, would you please comment on whether YERBA MATE green tea is safe to drink for vegans? I eat only plant-based foods without oil and salt, but have not given up yerba mate tea yet. In short, is it safe to drink yerba mate when it is suppose to contain elements such as potassium, magnesium, and manganese, plus a variety of polyphenols such as the flavonoids quercetin and rutin; and three xanthines: caffeine, theobromine and theophylline, the main one being caffeine, etc.?

  16. Cancer is the leading cause of death in Japan.
Japanese drink the most green tea. Stomach cancer is 5 times higher in Japan than in the United States. Don't believe drinking green tea will prevent cancer.

  17. Dr Hiromi Shinya who is the dr to the Japanese emperoal family and the most famous dr in Japan treats all his cancerpatients with a wholefood vegan diet and very alkaline. He advises against green tea because of the caffeine.

  18. I wonder whether anyone reads these comments as they come in, 5 years late, or whether I am wasting my time. Anyway, two questions. First, do all of these benefits accrue from decaffeinated green tea as well, or is it reduced, eliminated, or actually reversed? And second, is it also effective for cancers other than in the breast?

  19. I had a minor stroke two years ago and the only reason it was a minor stroke is that I was drinking none stop-all kinds types of mixed tea in one big pot with mixed herbs, at least 4 cups per day, plus I was vegetarian

I commenti sono chiusi.
