  1. When having real dysbiosis and gut infrctions it realy is a hard thing to treat. These videos make it seem easy eat plantbaaed diet and markers go up. But this condition is very hard te recover from

  2. everything sweet, everything that contains starches (a tiny little bit is ok), everything that is cooked, everything that is low in minerals
and then uve to pray to the gods that they have mercy on u 😆
candida/mucoid plaque always wins 😔 (science still hasnt found it but can put ppl on moon🙄😂 what a joke species)

  3. Actually wheat gluten (gliadin) has been linked to increased zonulin. Also the potato glykoalkalod solanine has been linked to leaky gut, but since like wheat it's plant derived you'll ignore that and just focus on meat dairy etc.

  4. That's confusing. The study recommended gluten foods. But gluten releases zonulin. That same study says to make leaky gut better you need to reduce zonulin… So does gluten not release zonulin then?

  5. It would be great if the website had an index where you could search for a food and it would show green, yellow or red (traffic light system). He has a video summarizing the traffic light system but doesn't go into much detail about specific foods.

  6. If this healed a leaky gut, I would have been healed the day I switched WFPB 4 years ago. How can you explain all my symptoms of someone with SIBO, that includes a leaky gut, if this doesn't work by itself? WEIRD how you haven't found the research for this, but yet TONS of people keep getting cured of this WITHOUT having to specifically worry about the leaky gut, because that's a SYMPTOM of a bigger problem. Dr. Greger, these videos are only getting worse with how reliable they are.

  7. I have a story.
I was diagnosed with a stomach ulcer in middle school. It was chronic, only really getting better when I avoided salty and oily foods — something I discovered through trial and error.
5 years ago I watched some Nutrition Facts videos, and switched to a whole-plant based diet.
Now I have the strongest stomach of anyone I know. I still eat whatever is on the menu when I'm out with friends (including meat) because I don't want to appear unreasonable, but I just seriously never get sick the way other people do.

  8. High dose Vitamin D heals the gut. Research the Coimbra Protocol. Dr Coimbra is a Neurologist in Brazil and healing most autoimmune diseases with high dose Vitamin D3.

  9. The bit about curcumin is why I've been eating turmeric daily for over six years now. Also I didn't turn yellow. Plants made everything better for me, and cut the food bill.

  10. The info is in sync with what my naturopath recommended for leaky gut. On top, food that contains wheat should be avoided. So no bread, no spaghetti etc. Probiotics are important to keep the gut bacteria in balance. Sugar feed bad bacteria. Vegetables fiber feed good bacteria. Hence avoid sugar. BTW, fasting helps too.

  11. Can you do video on research of plant based eating and colitis. Wondering if you can completely cure the gut and improved the mucosa on a plant based diet.

  12. Dr. Gregor, I have a friend with advanced Addison's disease, otherwise known as primary adrenal insufficiency. I understand the legal restrictions you must abide by but I figured I would ask on her behalf. Do you have any information that you can share regarding the cause and/or dietary suggestions that may help her with this ailment? Thank you. Any information is appreciated.

  13. Can you please do a video on how best to explain and encourage people to eat a healthy diet?

My dad is vegan but he still eats crap, vegan crap, but still crap.

  14. Weird that Gluten is not mentioned as a cause for leaky gut…(no. 3 in the table, right after zinc)
Check Dr. Fasano (the scientist that discovered Zonulin) and the science tying the Gliadin in Gluten to Leaky gut.

  15. I hope that Dr Greger would follow the evidence wherever it leads, even if it led away from eating only plants, and in favour of some animal flesh/products. I only want the truth, not a biased party political broadcast.

  16. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. (Romans 10:13)
Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God. (James 4:4)
When Jesus heard it, he saith unto them, They that are whole have no need of the physician, but they that are sick: I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance. (Mark 2:17)

  17. As soon as you went in on a whole plant based diet… I knew you were full of sh*t. Then I started looking at the studies you gave as references lol, sealed the deal for me. You are either extremely dogmatic in plant foods which is non species appropriate for human beings, yes we are omnivores but have always leaned towards carnivore. Your research is opinion based at best as its made up of epidemiological and observational only which is the weakest form of nutritional study for a reason. You went on about fiber however… Fiber its self comes from a study completely based around a theory, there is still to this day no data supporting fiber is any better then a placebo effect in fact the opposite is true especially for those with IBS like symptoms, removing fiber actually improves symptoms which makes sense considering our intestinal track isn't made to digest fiber at all no matter the type. As for the claim that fiber feeds good bacteria… Again, never been proven. You are picking from theorized studies which any diet besides SAD has this opportunity. Next let's move onto antinutrients which only a plant based diet has… There's a reason there's so many ex vegans sharing their intestinal distress. Not to mention plant toxins such as Lectins, Amines, Tannins, Trypsin inhibitors,
Salicylates, Oxalates, Sulfites, benzo ates, MSG, Non protein amino acids, Glycosides
,Akaloids including solanine and chaconine, Triterpenes,Lignins, Saponins, Phytic acid, and Isoflaones which can cause some serious harm.
Please be more mindful of the information you are giving. If you are vegan, smart up and realize that pushing ideologies on others is irresponsible of you. These are people's lives you are playing with. The last issue is randomized studies lol give me a break you know better.

  18. I'm stuck with this. 10 years of fighting this illness and I'm almost ready to call it a day.

When I try to eat a non damaging plain diet I get demoralised and can't eat it.

Food gathers in injured areas of my colon and I get terrible brain fog and weakness. It fucks my bladder so I can't sleep.

I've had several weeks or months of eating just vegetables and still get extreme bloating and constipation. No grains seeds nuts etc just spuds and veg.

  19. This is vegan bullcrap. I have leaky gut and the foods I absolutely have to avoid are anything with lectins. In other words grains, dairy, nuts , seeds, legumes, nightshade, eggs, corn and soy. Good luck healing leaky gut on a vegan diet!

  20. If plant diet supposed help why so many people get instant improvement when starting carnivore diet what is basically the opposite? Is there any research made or just some doctor decided that vegan diet should be great? Spoiler it's not great.
