this is amazing study and information for people who are prediabetic and diabetic thank you for sharing dr.
What's best way to get it into your diet? In your food or dissolved in water?
Got curcumin?
I recently started supplementing with curcumin capsules but don't feel any difference so far. Looks like the benefits keep increasing over 3-6-9 months. I hope the results of next blood count will be the proof.
Uncle Greger is back on form with more info on the spice of the moment… turmeric.
add black pepper to turmeric
I put Turmeric in my coffee . 🙂
Cut out the crap all together. Lol 👍🏾🙌🏾
awesome!
Thank you for sharing. The benefits of curcumin are amazing. I have severe RA and my joint pain has been significantly reduced but also of great note, my energy levels have normalized. I take a wonderful form that is completely bio available in an easy to take formula.
Turmeric is a very strong spice, it has a smokey/musky aroma. My favorite way to use it is in soups, it's also good on vegetables. You might not know it but turmeric is in the condiment mustard, it's what makes it yellow. It also contains mustard seed which is another powerful antioxidant. Get more mustard in your diet.
You're doing Gods work Dr. Greger.
Does this suggest that countries where turmeric is heavily used (India in curry perhaps) have a lower incidence of diabetes? Any studies about that?

Oh gawsh – I just LOVE this channel.
My mom mix turmeric powder with honey and eat it (only 1 teaspoon a day) with warm water or green tea , my digestive system couldn't handle turmeric and I'm okie with it
a quarter cup of turmeric a day? yikes!
the Okinawans drink a lot of turmeric tea
What other spices are very good for health?
Should the healthy individuals supplement with turmeric on a regular basis? ( those of us who do not live the plant based lifestyle)
I add turmeric to almost every dish. Don´t forget to add pepper too! 🙂
I should get me some more tumeric, cause is just very healthy in general.
so it would work too to low cholesterol?
finally someone who pronounces turmeric correctly. not TUMORic
It would be interesting to see a study on white turmeric. I bought some at an Indian store and planted it. it grew really well. On my 3rd season growing it from those first tubers. I dig it now December then, replant a few tubers and eat the rest. Wonder if it has the same health properties?
