2. Piers Moron strikes again! This guy is just a bad journalist and the only reason vegans go on his show is to use him for publicity.

13. I still need to see the film, as it does seem a stretch, considering we have a range of Greek Interlinear versions which have been available for an age.
    You can freely access these online through sites like Bible Gateway, I used to own a physical edition many years ago, when I had faith.
    I do think scholars would have noted translation errors hundreds of years ago – especially where the words/deeds of their messiah were concerned.
    The traditional and accepted Bible, the 66 books, when read plainly – give the impression of a culture and a people who raised animals for both food and clothing.
    That is crystal clear, and in the stories, Jesus was raised in this setting, with what would have been a family from that particular culture.
    I am a sceptic and have an open mind and will be delighted to be presented with evidence to the contrary of my current position.
    However, regardless of the dispute that may well exist amongst scholars, according to the film, attempting to sway millions of nominal Christians to adapt this rather eccentric view, would be near impossible (in my view).
    I think we should stay away from religion and just present sound ethical arguments.
    As church should always be separate from state – so to, should veganism be separate from church.

30. It's definitely something peculiar – Carnists really are the only group of people whose thinking seems to completely shut down when confronted.
    I've literally had carnist friends pause for a good minute straight, almost concerningly so, when confronted when their own cognitive dissonance on the topic of meat eating.
    It's quite scary how the mind can falter when given such a horrible discrepancy in logic, as modern meat eating is.

32. Veganism has always been about harm reduction to animals. Only in the mind of non vegans is it about perfection and anything less negates it. Yes some bees are undoubtedly killed in almond and avocado production. You know who else eats almonds and avocados besides vegans? Most non vegans. But in addition they also cause the death of 80-90 billion land animals and marine animals into the trillions. Which is worse? And I’d love to see any studies on how much of the total decline in bees and other pollinators is due to the clearing of forest and grasslands.

    Lastly Pierce is super hung up on labels, lol. Who cares if someone comes across as ‘sanctimonious’ ? How does that invalidate what they are saying?
