First
So, my 5,000 IU daily dose for the last several years should have me at a decent level and should help several possible issues.
Yes or no?
What constitutes inadequate sunshine? For example in low light winters I get very little outdoor time
soooooo…….does Vitamin D3 in gummy form, you know, it has sugar in it, work as well?? Please say YES!!! LOL!
Hope this also civers importance of Vit K2 and magnesium as cofactors? No-one wants clogged arteries!
K2
I take vegan D3 tablets and my levels are around 100
Most D3 supplements are not vegan, so check the labels carefully if that’s a concern to you.

So, once a week 15k doesn't work, I heard u can do it as the body stores it, oh well
I’ll stick to being outside as much as possible and a keto diet thanks. Humans have lived healthy in the UK for many centuries without pharmalite chemical crap.
Have literally beenranting about this for YEARS!! thank you!! Study design is SO STUPID. OF course do it based on levels not doses, especially if you don't know the dosing requirements.
The little bit about the fact that cancer reduction is not something to get excited about because it's #2 is SO STUPID!! it's right behind CVD and in a lot of ways you can argue prevention is more important cause it's harder to undo when you are diagnosed!!!
For every Nutrition Facts video about a useful supplement, there's also a video where Greger warns about supplement contamination & unreliability. 😒 You might as well tell us about some actual brands and specific product options that are proven to be trustworthy.
👍 Whole food plant based for the environment and health; vegan for the victims!
So my being fat, despite being vegan, negates my intake of Vitamin D and other supplements?!?
IS VITAMIN D VEGAN?
For those following a vegan diet, it's crucial to note that not all forms of Vitamin D are vegan-friendly when choosing a supplement. Vitamin D2 is typically suitable for vegans, but vitamin D3 can be derived from either an animal source, such as sheep’s wool, or from lichen, a vegan-friendly source.
2000 iu is a low dose, I take 15.000 iu which is roughly the amount I'd get from sun exposure for 20 minutes on my bare skin in the summer.
In other news, "Conclusion: Liver injury due to turmeric appears to be increasing in the United States, perhaps reflecting usage patterns or increased combination with black pepper. Turmeric causes potentially severe liver injury that is typically hepatocellular, with a latency of 1 to 4 months and strong linkage to HLA-B*35:01."
Also look up dementia and vitamin d , it’s shocking governments aren’t advising to take vitamin d supplements.
I'd rather have it from UV bathed mushrooms, would love a video about UV lighting effect on Vitamin D content of different shrooms
I just get out in sun or clouds as Vitamin D comes from the sun. It can still reach you on cloudy days.
I love this channel!
What about vitamin D from wild mushrooms ?
Super interesting! Thank you so much for sharing <3
But isn’t there a difference in the dosage of vitamin D3 depending on the time of year?
My question is who did the math and the studies?
I’ve raised my D and my girlfriend couldn’t be happier, it works! 🙌
Thank you
Vitamin d stores in your body for months.. you don't need it everyday it's not even sunny everyday lol shocking that dr greger would put out such a stupid video, its a worry, i thoight he was trustworthy
Yes, of course.
Does supplementing with VitD3 increase calcium levels in the blood and pose a risk for heart attack?
Vitamin D3 along with vitamin K2.
