  1. Hi love your work on nutrition so much I reccommend your book How not to die to friends and so grateful for your work. Please can you tell me is there any way to help My boyfriend who has axenfeld-rieger syndrome and dental resorption autoimmune disease. If you read this Thankyou so much

  2. I want to know if it’s okay to eat a lot of grains. I get hungry a lot and I seem to go to that and I eat almost too much protien. I can’t stop eating rice and beans But I don’t get fat lol

  3. EGGS – "Recent research found they actually help raise your 'good' cholesterol"
Hi Doc, Joey Armstrong stated in his recent upload that many home kept chickens are obtained from "cruelty free" factory farms but even if they are adopted from somebody who truly keeps them free, fed well and allowed to forage, can you please tell me what you have to say about this article. I've watched the 'High Intensity Health' channel a bit also and he feeds his chickens very well for his eggs (I've not eaten them since going mostly whole plant foods last year, but I used to think, like Governor Arnold, the more the better and as my grandmother also kept hens, I kinda miss them). https://www.sciencealert.com/eating-one-egg-day-could-significantly-reduce-risk-heart-disease-cholesterol

  4. Suggested video: Now that partially hydrogenated oils will be banned this year, what I'm seeing are products advertising "no trans fats," and now they're using fully hydrogenated oils. Of course I won't eat them, but many will. So, are fully hydrogenated oils just as bad?

  5. I have been Vegan for 8 months. Feel great! But I just had a Cholesterol test(DANGEROUSLY HIGH) . My doctor wants to put me on a Statin… I have not taken any, I don't want it! I am also, having cramps in my feet and sometimes, in the rest of my body. I have increased my water and Celtic salt intake. It seems to be better but not gone away and I have been trying the approach for over a month. Do you have any suggestions, please!

  6. Michael Gregor & wonderful team thanks for your amazing work! Maybe it could be time for some editing of these questions from the public? Could ppl write into u in advance & a team member compile a list 4 u of a broad range? Keep up the amazing work! <3 <3 love from Australia x

  7. Enough with the soap! I think you should only do one question per person, these questions were mostly from whackos. What a complete waste of a good half hour.

  8. It's amazing that a medical doctor just admitted that smallpox was eradicated without a vaccine.
He stated it was eradicated because of good hygiene why can't we apply this logic to all vaccines. Vaccines are nothing more than a cash cow for big Pharma

  9. greger how can u be so blind not to see raw veganism is the best diet
    lycopene and beta carotene yadayadayada
cooking just makes foods available that were not meant for human consumption

and also: humans have been eating meat for 2 million (probably more) years and (as the stuff u dig out clearly shows) we r not adapted for animal consumption
but cooking is maybe around 800000ish years old (tons of cooking been done since like 300.000 years or so) …but that is okay? u can clearly see whatever one is doing to their food "changes" something about the food, its no hippie mumbo jumbo…some proteins denature or whatever (who cares if its more available…u werent meant to eat it in the first place!…and now…u ruined it ontop of that)
and yes legumes r alledgedly linked to longevity and health, but thats mainly because they reduce igf-1 (one could call that a lucky coincidence) and the less igf-1 the less growth u have in total

if u want ur grains and legumes go sprout em, but cooking…while maybe seemingly intuitive cuz everyone does it (but then again..almost everyone eats meat right? gotcha) is certainly the way to go
and now u may ask urself "but without the starchy base that our societies (which btw r just 10000ish years young…which is like nothing evolutionarily speaking) couldnt exist" yes, thats true
"but how did humans get thru winters then?" they simply didnt…humans "invented" cooking before leaving africa (which got mild winters)
…and yes cooking made it possible for us to evolve bigger brains cuz we got nice energy and didnt require as long of colons anymore (and yes…we even lost our ability to make cellulase in the process…guess why our appendix is silly today)
it also helped to ~conquer the world~ but it was just a tool, and the tool was good, but its now nothing but a silly remnant of the past that almost all people on this planet r addicted too

2 weeks raw vegan with easily digestable foods, chewing really fucking well, with just little overt fats…and ull see how ur fingers and toes feel like they got a better connection to ur brain (okay that sounds like hippie shit, and it is…but its true!! ;p)

u can trust me, i dont flinch from eating raw animals one bit if its best, i just seek truth – and cooked veganism is just sludge compared to raw veganism (…and i say that….despite loving cooking…:( )

raw vegans r often too naturalists tho…they just eat fruit, but that doesnt work – ur bones get brittle, u get "ur heads in the clouds", and lose passion and lose muscle
but hey…they r the carb addicts that they were back when they ate cooked food and fruit is the replacement for the starches they used to eat (and they just stick with it and r in denial and look shit)

it takes a good mind and will to adapt to a (somewhat bad…and actually silly now) habbit thats been damaging us ever since its invention

  10. Spent too much time answering ridiculous/ silly questions. Taking bath in green tea or why need for soap or why need for handwashing…☹
He is polite and indulges people questions but there has got to be a better way….Stay Blessed

  11. Lisa Cooley
First cow's milk is not for people, it made for calf.' Just like dog milk is made for puppies.' Ingress fed dairy is just as bad for you as grain fed dairy.' And grass fed cows also produce far more Carbon dioxide is form of Methane up to four times as much

  12. I thought the answers were great.
    The questions? Even Better!
I didn't know once either, so i'm glad you told them, AND reminded me.

  13. Everyone is saying the questions were no good, but I liked the questions. Most of the q&as are just the same kind of questions we've heard the answers to over and over, but these were new and interesting I thought.

  14. This Dick head is self cannibalising from lack of nutrition and muppets are still blindly following him like good little sheep

  15. It is absolutely ridicilous to me that people really think we’re supposed to be eating cooked food? How would you possibly do that healthfully in nature? Wood fire smoke is terribly carcinogenic so saying that we’re ‘naturally’ supossed to eat cooked food everyday is saying that we are supposed to be breathing in terrible carcinogens everyday cause that’s what would inevitably happen if we’d be cooking our food in nature. Also have you ever tried cooking a potato or sweet potato in an open fire in nature? Near impossible.. dr Greger you are a FOOL for not being able to wrap your brain around all of this but then again I guess there is $$$$ involved. Ohhh but cooked food is healthy look it makes diseases disappear in these people yeah that’s because these studies are done in SICK people and the only thing is they are now eating more healthily than before so obviously you see results but how does that prove that we should be eating cooked over raw? FOOLISH and don’t come to me with your cooking increases lycopene nonsense look into BIOPHOTONS Mr Greger cooked food is a FAD DIET

  16. Also dr Greger your skin colour looks as lifeless as these foods that you’re recommending let’s see what’d happen if you’d discontinue eating lifeless foods

  17. why do people ask him stupid questions, can we stop brushing our teeth can we not use soap can we bathe in green tea , what's next? is breathing a bad thing?

  18. Could I possibly be carnitine deficient? I'm getting enough sunlight, exercising 5 times a week, eating a whole food vegan diet since late December. I've checked cronometer to make sure I get all the nutrients I need every day, such as the nasty ones: zinc, iodine. I've supplemented with vitamin D during the winter, I've stopped in April and I'm taking vitamin B12 all year round. However my legs are always tired and I know I'm not overtraining because that's approximately the same routine I've always stick to. Or should I supplement with vitamin D even during the summer? I live in Italy, thanks

  19. Dr. Gregor I've been on the whole food plant-based diet since January. My cholesterol level is still around 300 I've added the
Amla powder. I'm off of processed food no oil following it best I can what gives please help

  20. I'm thinking it would be beneficial to screen questions in advance and just answer the tough, interesting ones instead of wasting time on 'same ol' or unworthy questions. And people it's a nuisance to try and follow questions with all the 'greetings' and fart comments taking up space.

  21. Boy that guy sure doesn't wanna wash, what in the world… Dr Greger you were very kind and patient to even answer these questions seriously.

  22. Hi Doctor 🙂 I used to add lemon to my meal as I know you can absorb iron better with vitamin C. Then I heard lemon is an acid and it inhibits the enzyme ptyalin (salivary amylase) so I stopped adding lemon, what are your thoughts about it? Thanks 😊💚

  23. Regarding COPD, I have suffered from this for 30 Years. (Lifetime non smoker) FEV1 28% of Normal.

Since switching to a WFPB way of life, my numbers have not improved, but I feel so much better.

  24. Hi dr Gregor I was wondering whether eating too much kale is bad for you. I eat like 7 cups of the stuff a day! I know I need more variety and I will get it but how bad is it to eat this much kale?

  25. If Olivia is not using soap or brushing her teeth, I want to sit at the opposite end of a room from her. Really silly questions today.

  26. Dr. Gregor,  I am 2 months post RNY gastric bypass.  I want to become vegan.  I have been in the past but it is frowned up in the RNY community because of the need for protein and low carbs.  Can you tell me your opinion on this.  I am very motivated and have no problem researching and counting carbs etc.  I love your channel.

  27. Please see the research on EMFs, somewhat brief,

The Harmful Effects of Electromagnetic Fields

    https://articles.mercola.com/sites/articles/archive/2017/09/03/electromagnetic-fields-harmful-effects.aspx

    1) Microwave EMFs activate voltage-gated Ca2+ channels (VGCCs) concentrated in the brain), (elevates blood pressure and/or heart rate)

    2) neuronal cell demyelination (Long-term exposure to 835 MHz RF-EMF induces hyperactivity, autophagy and demyelination in the cortical neurons of mice
    https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5247706/)

    3) autophagic degradation in cortical neurons against a stress of 835 MHz RF Activation of autophagy at cerebral cortex and apoptosis at brainstem are differential responses to 835 MHz RF-EMF exposure.
    https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5343051/

    4) The results showed that EMF caused a significant decrease in total pyramidal and granular cell numbers in the hippocampus, and DG and in Purkinje cell numbers in the cerebellum in the EMF group compared to the other groups (p < 0.05). 5) Effects of 2.4 GHz radiofrequency radiation emitted from Wi-Fi equipment on microRNA expression in brain tissue. Long-term exposure of 2.4 GHz RF may lead to adverse effects such as neurodegenerative diseases originated from the alteration of some miRNA expression

    7) Cell Phone Radiofrequency Radiation Exposure and Brain Glucose Metabolism (increases barin glucose metabolism)
    https://jamanetwork.com/journals/jama/article-abstract/645719?redirect=true

    8) Exposure to 835 MHz RF-EMF decreases the expression of calcium channels, inhibits apoptosis, but induces autophagy in the mouse hippocampus
    https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5928341/pdf/kjpp-22-277.pdf

    9) RF-EMF-exposed cases: (1) significant morphological lesions in the myelin sheath of rats; (2) a greater risk of multiple sclerosis in a study subgroup; (3) effects in proteins related to myelin production; and (4) physical symptoms in individuals with functional impairment electrohypersensitivity, many of which are the same as if myelin were affected by RF-EMF exposure, giving rise to symptoms of demyelination. In the latter, there are exceptions; headache is common only in electrohypersensitivity, while ataxia is typical of demyelination but infrequently found in the former group. Overall, evidence from in vivo and in vitro and epidemiological studies suggests an association between RF-EMF exposure and either myelin deterioration or a direct impact on neuronal conduction, which may account for many electrohypersensitivity symptoms.

    10) Could myelin damage from radiofrequency electromagnetic field exposure help explain the functional impairment electrohypersensitivity? A review of the evidence.

Symptoms: Among the more commonly reported changes are sleep disturbance/insomnia, headache, depression/depressive symptoms, fatigue/tiredness, dysesthesia, concentration/attention dysfunction, memory changes, dizziness, irritability, loss of appetite/body weight, restlessness/anxiety, nausea, skin burning/tingling/dermographism and EEG changes.
    https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0891061815000599?via%3Dihub

To recap, it takes a pretty short time frame to cause neuronal damage/death 60 min/day, once per day (workplaces, schools, churches, stores). The EMF, EFA and EBS groups were exposed
to 900-MHz EMF radiation inside a tube once daily over 21 days (60 min/day). The solution is to ask to turn off WIFIs, smart phones (flip phones, non 5G, emit far less EMFs.), use an Ethernet (hard wired) connection and to measure. The new 5G cell technology emit much greater EMF signals.
    https://emmind.net/openpapers_repos/Applied_Fields-Hazads/Microwave_Effects/Phone_2G-3G/2017_Effects_of_900-MHz_radiation_on_the_hippocampus_and_cerebellum_of_adult_rats_and_attenuation_of_such_effects_by.pdf
If you do want the hard evidence is to measure, I purchased a meter Acoustimeter AM-10 (but doesn’t do a good job at measuring at 5Ghz levels), the cost is about $370, but I find it very useful. The is also Gigahertz Solutions HF35C RF Meter (You wouldn't believe the levels at some places and public parks, the new 5G technology is much worse in terms of EMFs.) I purchased from slt.co a Canadian company. There is a company here in the States, lessemf.com, but they hype up their products. I have no affiliations with either company. slt.co is also available through Amazon.

  28. 10:00 Weston A Price was a dentist and he found there were tribes with perfect teeth. He found those tribes stuck to traditional diets of their people and not modern ones. I also hear fluoride messes with some kind of hormone system the body uses as a natural invisible toothbrush so to speak. The book I have says it messes with the hypothalamus and reverses parotid activity.

I personally believe fluoride is horrible to brush with I use baking soda based toothpaste and have for about 2 years now. I have had less cavities and feel better in my opinion. Haven’t been to the dentist for a full year now after I changed insurance. I have had one cavity but I’ve been monitoring it hoping I can reverse it as some people believe. Keep in mind I’m someone who has been to the dentist yearly and after one checkup had 13 cavities. Also I haven’t eaten as much bread as I did before I believe that may have also spiked cavities from phytic acid. Up until about 2 months ago I had hardly any plants in my diet.

  29. Can you please answer why soy and flax, that are supposed to HELP with menopausal symptoms makes my symptoms HORRIBLY, INSUFFERABLY worse? And I have spoken to SEVERAL other women that have the same experience! I really want to know why???? Is it possible that we might tolerate it better maybe AFTER menopause?? Best regards!😊

  30. Dr. Greger…you're so full of it. Your nutritional advice is flawed. You share a heavy dose of nuance and then leave the advice open-ended, allowing your uninformed adherents to fill in the blanks. You lie and mislead people.
