Friday Favorites: Benefits of Tea Tree Oil for Warts and Cold Sores

Does tea tree oil have enough antiviral activity to combat HSV-1 and papilloma viruses, the causes of cold sores and common warts, respectively?

Isn’t that bit about wart “charming” wild? I’ve got some videos coming up on the use of duct tape for warts, so stay tuned.

This is my first video on treating common warts. For information on genital warts (which are caused by a different virus), see Benefits of Green Tea for Boosting Antiviral Immune Function (https://nutritionfacts.org/video/benefits-of-green-tea-for-boosting-antiviral-immune-function/) and Treating Genital Warts with Green Tea (https://nutritionfacts.org/video/treating-genital-warts-with-green-tea/).<br />

29 Risposte a “Friday Favorites: Benefits of Tea Tree Oil for Warts and Cold Sores”

  1. Tea tree oil is sold as pure as 90 percent is more efficient than any of the diluted
creams or gels sold over the counter and should be used as such .

  2. Tea tree oil stinks and is a known endocrine disrupter. For my cold sores I use Carmex (menthol) throughout the day and hydrogen peroxide twice a day. Compared to doing nothing, it clears up in half the time.

  3. Gregor surprised at the unethical and seemingly nonsensical papers were published in research journals decades ago? Talk about not being evidence-based.
Just wait until he finally reads the vast literature about reality of fraudulent scientific and medical articles in the decades since and even now.
    Spoiler alert: it’s rampant

  4. L-Lysine supplement for cold sores. If taken at the first tingling sign of it coming on, stops it in it's tracks. If taken after the cold sore has appeared, it helps it heal much faster. There are also topical L-Lysine ointments for this very purpose as well, but the supplement is key.

  5. Several years ago I heard Dr Greger comment that he thought lemongrass oil should work well for cold sores so I decided I would be a guinea pig and I have been using it for several years now and I pretty much don't have cold sores anymore and when I feel one coming on I treated and it never develops. I am one happy test subject!

  6. 3:41 this magic wand is giving Tuskegee vibes where patients thought they were being treated but only were experimented on and observed. Am I wrong or is there a difference?

  7. Another complicating factor is geting dosage right, and means of administration, because all these concentrated extracts will irritate tissues in excess amounts

  8. My poor preschooler boy was covered in warts all over his hands, about 40 of them, even his older brother and I had a couple of them. We treated him w topicals of all types and they were so persistent. Upon reading that Zinc was good for immune system I ran to the store in the middle of the night just to start on zinc supplementation right away. We took an adult dose each. In 3 weeks, all of us were finally free of warts. We stopped taking the pure zinc afterwards and I started them on children's multivitamin that included zinc. We've never had them again.

  9. I hadn't had a cold sore since 2002 and got one last week. I decided to use tea tree oil on it at the start. The blisters never opened up just turned into a scab that just fell off. I'm glad to see there was some evidence out there that backs up my instinct to use tea tree oil on it. Worked great for me. Thanks for putting out this info.

  10. Olive LEAF extract works for hsv1 & 2 per studies on google scholar/pubmed & synergistic effect with blackberry extract due to antioxidant power. Get it at your health food store. (Capsule, lip balm, salve). Also, lemongrass looks like a winner!

  11. I've used #Auriginals tea-tree-oil from Australia… great stuff with nail fungal conditions.
I now dilute and spray around the home as an antiseptic antimicrobial and viral spray…
    So versatile… I just love it!!❤
