Friday Favorites: Removing Warts with Duct Tape

Duct tape beat out cryotherapy (freezing) and ten other treatments for removal of warts in a randomized, controlled, head-to-head trial. Why isn’t it standard practice?

This includes the first and second videos in a three-part series on duct tape for wart removal. Check out the last one: Which Type of Duct Tape Is Best for Wart Removal? (https://nutritionfacts.org/video/which-type-of-duct-tape-is-best-for-wart-removal).

I never heard of using duct tape for warts until I was researching other dermatological remedies, like the ones found in Benzoyl Peroxide vs. Tea Tree Oil for Acne (https://nutritionfacts.org/video/benzoyl-peroxide-vs-tea-tree-oil-for-acne/), Does Tea Tree Oil Work for Nail Fungus? 50 Risposte a “Friday Favorites: Removing Warts with Duct Tape”

  1. This might sound crazy but hear me out: what if we take the liquid nitrogen-wart money and, you'll say I'm nuts, but I say put it into something like curing cancer or making those wart-popping doctors learn to help somebody with a more complicated problem instead?
And, this may seem totally off the charts, but maybe just put the wart-laser money into developing new cures? Or, God forbid, invest it into making medicare more affordable. But that would be totally crazy to the leaders of the medical community, am I right?

  2. ❗ If duct tape doest work, get verrutop (relatively new medication) and apply it till it hurts + really heat up the spot with a infrared light for 30 min every 2 weeks (heatshock will induce immune response, redlight for depth, 2 weeks to recover immune cells)

If you want to disinfect anything use povidone iodine. Alcohol does nothing.

If everything else fails try to get an Nd-Yag laser treatment before agreeing to a surgery.

  3. Tea tree oil worked for my daughter's planter's wart. It took almost a week, applied once a day, for a difference to be visible. After applying twice a day it was gone about a month latter.

  4. While the title calls it "Duct Tape", I used the original gray "Duck Tape." The Original Duck Tape (official brand) worked in a couple weeks without any discomfort. To keep the Duck Tape on, I cut a small 2 x 0.5 inch strip of Duck Tape and put a Fabric Band-Aid on it to help keep it in place.
My dermatologist excised the skin above the wart (she sliced off skin layers with a razor), and then the plantar wart cleared up even faster. I didn't want to cryofreeze my foot because I run and walk regularly.
After a week of Duck Tape, the wart fell out leaving a white crater. I kept it up for a few days after that.

  5. ok, I have a small wart that appeared on the top of my right hand below my index finger knuckle…which is ugly and annoying….so I'm going to try this; however, the only "Duct" tape I have laying around my house is "T-Rex" tape…now, will this work? I realize its not "Duck" tape (the most popular or perhaps the original "Duct" tape), but I'm going to give it a go and report back in a week to let you know the results, if any………….so fun!

  6. The two warts on my leg that had been there for 40 years (with a few failed attempts to remove them) naturally fell off after about a year I converted to WFPB diet!

  7. I cut mine off with a cut throat razor, then applied salacylic acid to kill the root. Be careful folks, cut throat razors are very very sharp.

  8. Breast cancer is less common in men than women. Are there any studies out there that look into the fact that women typically shave their arm pits? Could deoderant be the root cause of breast cancer by blocking the bodies ability to sweat out toxins from the lymphatic system node near the armpit? Affecting women more than men due to shaving?

  9. I guess I need to get myself some duck tape. I tried cryofreezing a wart a couple months ago. It was sore for over a month, and it did nothing. My dermatologist scheduled a new appointment but I decided to skip the rest of the treatment, as I prefer to keep the wart as a pet, than experiencing that pain again.

  10. I’ve tried duct tape many times and can’t get it to stay on with a plantar wart foot placement, even with multiple pieces crossing. It’s too hot here to wear socks all the time and they still need to come off after exercise and stuff, which grabs the tape with it! I’ve tried cryotherapy in doctors’ offices 3-4 times now and it’s always failed, plus costs a lot. Tea tree twice a a day for a long time didn’t work either. Today, coincidentally, I had it injected to numb, then frozen (again), carved up, and injected with immune activator. Sure hope that works because I’m in lots of pain now and over it. The video mostly talks about warts in children but I think I’ve had this guy 24 years!

  11. When I get warts they don't go away unless I do something. Depending where they are I scratch them off and if they don't leave I use Betadine.

My guess is that the duct tape keeps them moist and allow the immune system access to them. Most often warts seem to occur (for me) on relatively dry skin areas.

  12. freezing left a permanent scar and a hard lump on the ball of my foot. I currently have about 25 on each foot so I'll probably have to go to Europe where they use a strange thing called "science" (not sure about spelling) to get rid of all of them.

  13. That poor kid. If your experiment on curing warts faster causes a child to vomit in fear of pain, then something very wrong is taking place in the minds of those dubious "scientists"…

  14. how to waste people's time with no usefull info unless you fall for the cliffhanger garbage used by con-artists. This channel has devolved in 10% of videos actually having value.

  15. Castor oil applied externally,
is said to help with nipples, is said to help with arthritis pain, is said to help with hair growth, is said to remove small fine lines, so it's practically like a miracle cure, can you please look up whether there are any studies on this?

  16. I had a wart growing on my pinky. As time goes by it got bigger and bigger and started to be painful. I bought a wart-kill lotion but never wanted to use it because it can cause a lot of pain killing it that way too. So I just procrastinated. Anyway, for some reason I started to get into drinking smoothies daily. Just a combination of parsley, carrots, a bit of walnuts and soy milk was basically what I used.

Oblivious to me, after a couple if months, I didn't realize that the wart on my pinky had completely disappeared. No scars at all. It's as if I had never had a wart on that pinky, to begin with. I suddenly realized how a simple green smoothie was so powerful helping my immune system remove the wart.

Imagine what this same smoothie would do to cancer also. But that said, I was already a long-time vegan but I wasn't into healthy eating. Buy that smoothie regime somehow perfected my vegan diet to enhance my immune system to the point of detecting the wart on my pinky and imperceptibly removing it without my awareness.

  17. Meeting Dr Odaloaghe has really been one of the best day of my life after years of suffering I have been finally cured from cold sore thanks doc. I will always tell the world about your YT profile ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉🎉❤🎉❤🎉❤❤💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯
