4 Risposte a “How to Succeed on a Plant-Based Diet LONG TERM”

  1. You’re right it is So Hard to have others on board with what “we’re” doing, I try to keep it real and remind them that if they have questions -ask, but I’m trying to keep steadfast in what I want to do.

  2. it's amazing, and sad, how my healthy lifestyle makes my 'friends' uncomfortable. At 51, they talk about the blood pressure, GI issues, etc etc all the time, yet stuff their bodies with alcohol and animal products and junk, it's so frustrating. But I refuse to let their attempts to intimidate me succeed.

  3. I am very self-reliant and, while I'm happy to meet more and more vegans (they look very slim and healthy so I'm assuming they don't eat junk), I am OK just having this online community of people like you Karli to sustain me and keep me on track. I have met new people, mostly non-vegans but they care about health and fitness, cooking healthy dishes from scratch, etc. My new friends don't know I used to be very overweight, I simply say I put on some weight during the pandemic like most people, they have only known me as slim. I have to say that I disagree with discussing my health/eating habits in detail or talking about my transformation with others, maybe because I live on my own so I don't need to persuade any partner or family members. I have always thought that the more you discuss your "diet" with other people, the more they feel entitled to comment on everything you eat, and this is very annoying to say the least. I sometimes tell others what I'm looking forward to eating for lunch, etc. and mention I skip oils for example and love my whole plant food, but I don't promote my lifestyle or sound evangelical. Finally, "Misery loves company" as they say, those who binge or have other unhealthy habits will sooner or later attack you if you become healthy, there's no point in having a transformation discussion with them imo, you know they're not going to change. I tried to cook healthy food for these people when they were still in my life, they started criticising my body and saying I was too slim. I simply deleted their number and if I see them I ignore them, it's really simple, these are not real friends so they don't deserve me wasting any time on them talking about my transformation or diet. As I continue on my WFPB journey, I become more confident and firmer about sticking to this lifestyle and I know I will never become overweight or unhealthy again. Thank you for your wonderful channel, Karli
