  7. Great video, but if I have people watch this, their perception of it will register as: GOOD NEWS! You can eat mcmuffins so long as you eat so and so specific plants with them and that's all they'll take away from the video.

Dr. Greger, i understand açaí berries are not better than other "regular" fruits but you have tô consider the fact that in tropical countries like mine (i ma brazilian) you do not find many cheap options of berries, since they are more available in cold climate. So for us, its great news we dont have to spend so much money in order to have the same benefitial effects… thank you for your wonderful Work! Lorelay

  9. This is where coffee consumption confuses me… if coffee reduced arterial function, why is it that coffee drinkers seem to live longer and have slightly less heart attacks?

  10. For all people: Animal tests such as making mice, rats, guinea pigs, rabbits and dogs force inhale smoke are so extremely unethical and cruel no words can describe it. That alone is reason to quit smoking! Quitting meat and milk products also reduces suffering. Peace starts with each single person. So live ethically, live healthy and live vegan.

  11. I love how Dr Gregor is fighting against the prevailing forces, to show that healthy diets are accessible! You don't have to spend exorbitantly on "superfoods," a regular store will give you the produce you need!

  13. Dr. Greger, açaí berry is quite cheap here in Brazil and Blueberries are really, really expensive. I understand that you are trying to show people that they do not need fancy foods to achieve health benefits. But, you must also consider that those fancy foods are, in most cases, very cheap in the countries where they are produced. I cannot spend a fortune on blueberries, but I can afford açaí.

  14. Here in Brazil, açaí is much more cheaper and easier to find than blueberry AND is good to reduce blood pressure. Do not underestimate the açaí.

  15. I always wondered why I feel better while consuming lemons and berries. More energy, optimism, less fatigue. There is a noticeable difference and it's not placebo as I never knew what was actually going on until now.

  16. l live in the swampland of Florida and years ago my mom planted some blackberrie plants that she brought from Louisiana..for years there were plenty of fruit and she made pies with them, but now even though they are growing every where, I don't see any berries on them..just just very sharp thorns that that somehow find a way to wrap around your feet and try to kill unsuspecting humans as they are pulled away into the jungle..wish they at least would grow some berries.

I had a heartattack when I was just 29 in 1994 and about ten years ago while having a preoperative test for hernia surgery, a doctor discovered that my heart was enlarged..after the surgery the only time I have bern to for a doctor visit was to try different antidepressants for my PTSD..I gave up the pharmaceuticals because they didn't work and for many years have medicated with alcohol, which is one of the worse drugs..I have not had a drink in over two weeks and am now wanting to try other methods to thrive in this realm..I have been vegan for years but using too much salt, and not exercising along with the alcohol is taken a toll..yep, all my fault and I know it..sometimes when I get stressed, I feel a pain in my heart and it does not beat healthy at all..I get scared because I worry that my heart is just going to stop..I don't have any insurance and no money to get help..maybe some blue berries will help..I have 4 dogs that I adopted and I need to be here for them..I must find a way to stay .I don't want to die…oh, and my main point was that when I can afford to, I want to start putting blueberries in my oatmeal..thanks for the advice Doc.
