Integratori per la crescita dei capelli

Gli integratori di biotina o zinco potrebbero prevenire la caduta dei capelli negli uomini e nelle donne?

Questa è la prima di una serie in tre parti sulla caduta e la crescita dei capelli. Resta sintonizzato per Pills for Hair Growth (https://nutritionfacts.org/video/pills-for-hair-growth) e Food for Hair Growth (https://nutritionfacts.org/video/food-for-hair-growth).

  1. Please check out the YT Channel or page from perfecthairhealth, if this topic is interesting to you.
Have a wonderfull day you all & thank you Dr. Greger for your consistant & great contant. 😁

  2. And then there is me that has lost hair who has no one in family that is bald or even sparse hair, that don't eat fish, that has no deficiencies, all blood test ok, that don"t smoke, don't drink alcohol, no kids, no stress more than everyone else, that don't drink and eat fish or meat or take supplements… fml

  3. I lost about 70% of my hair this past winter when I quit the birth control pill. It just started growing again 2 months ago…my hair is curly & down to the middle of my back…it's going to take about 2 years to get back to where it was! Hair loss, especially for women, is literally traumatic.

  4. Since you mentioned androgenic alopecia, I really hope that in one of the next videos you will mention dihydrotestosterone being the main cause, and 5-a reductase inhibitors being the main fix. Any dermatologist will tell you that for a genetically predisposed individual, nothing else will prevent it long-term. Worthy of mentioning, minoxidil does help regrowth, but doesn't attack the root cause and therefore is only good as an adjunct treatment.

  5. Was wondering when you were going to get to this. I figured you were trying to conceal the truth because you wanted everyone to suffer the same fate as you lol.

  6. From the last study you cited
"While there is no upper intake level for provi-

tamin A carotenoids, ingestion of very high

levels of preformed vitamin A can be toxic."
Citation 15 and 16 in that study are about calves and an estimation from 1993 of the tolerable upper limit of vitamin A.
You should've mentioned that plant sources of provitamin A don't have the same risk of toxicity.

  7. My blood pressure medication says it can cause hair loss. I am thinking this may be my problem since none of my sisters have this problem and don’t take blood pressure medication. The information does say though that your hair can many times grow back if you are able to get off your blood pressure medication. So that is my goal anyway. I hope I see some good results, though I plan to get my health in order through a plant based diet anyway.

  8. Longhaul covid took most of my hair , I wish you had videos on some of the longhauler studies out there. Would be interesting to see a breakdown.

  9. Just started taking finasteride in april. Don't like having to be on anything in general besides supplements but is what it is. Hoping it works without any recurring side effects.

  10. I think balding is caused by poor diet, I remember McDougall saying in a recent video Japanese men used to have full heads of hair their whole life, but then fast food got introduced and now they are balding just the same as Americans

  11. I had a problem with hair loss until I started taking a Biotin supplement and Saw Palmetto. My hair is growing in again, but I think after watching this video I better stop taking the Biotin.
(btw, I never ate a lot of fish, but I have amalgam tooth fillings).

  12. LOL. I can get 'too much vitamin A' by eating half 2-3 carrots and a sweet potato. Like, 2000% RDA. I do it all the time. Hair is still pretty much there.

  13. My hair loss is hereditary, but I've still got more hair than my two younger brothers put together.
No mention of scalp massages with oil. I've been doing that for nearly ten years and that may account for not losing so much.

  14. Nothing surprising here. I've tried biotin off and on and haven't noticed a difference so I stopped. I think a future video is going to talk about the benefits of consuming greens for hair loss, but that's just a guess.

  15. I guess since my nutrient intake is great and I don't eat fish then I have to tell people that it is my syphilis treatment causing my hair loss.

    Genetics in my case.

  16. Well, in studies (like the recent from Switzerland), vegans are frequently ( ~ 50% ) found with low blood zinc, though these blood zinc levels are buffered. Besides low intakes vs phytate category (new WHO table). Thus most vegans w/o zinc supp may have at least moderate zinc deficiency. Normal whole foods, pumpkin seeds etc (unlike w other nutrients) dont help much here, or make it even worse, due to high phytate blocking zinc. Only high amounts of well fermented whole grains / legumes; or a zinc supplement with reasonable 6 mg / day or so, best zinc glycinate.

Similar with selenium in vegans (outside North America which has exceptionally high SE content in grains, legumes…)

  17. I take dutasteride daily. Only side effect I got was an increase in libido. It stopped my hairloss

  18. I LOVE all of your work!!! THANK YOU!!! I am going to give you a piece of unsolicited advice though… from a random young woman to you…You should just go ahead and shave your whole head. (ASIDE FROM YOUR AWESOME BEARD/stache) It will look a lot better and make you look more attractive. GO FOR IT! Don’t be scared. You’re welcome. 💁🏼‍♀️✨

  19. I have genetic male pattern baldness but never lost my hair due to my discovery of what causes it. It's extremely complicated but took me 3 months to figure it out. It's actually so complicated that I don't expect anyone to figure it out anytime soon.

Consequently, I've been blessed and still have all my hair. BTW, it also works with psoriasis. I've been waiting to team up with the right person in order to release the truth. Hopefully, someday soon I'll be able to release it.

  20. Green tea and rosemary both have a bit of scientific support as hair loss treatments, and maybe worth trying for the sufferer. I've heard, though, that in male pattern baldness follicles eventually "die" and when this happens it's almost impossible to bring them back. Therefore, if hair loss is a concern, the sooner you treat it the better.

  21. Are there any studies on male pattern baldness and cold exposure? I had some tiny hairs grow on my temple after I started going out in the cold every day without a hat this past spring, so I wonder if that's a coincidence or if there's some connection. Can't test it now since it's too hot already.

  22. Pretty sure my hockey helmet is causing most of my hair loss. Too tight. But what's better? A full head of hair or CTE? I'm not even sure lol

  23. Another good video. Now standing by for the numerous meat industry troll accounts to chime in. What a demeaning way for some kid to make a living.

  24. My experience was that changing from a SAD diet to a vegan diet with supplementation of biotin and balanced zinc/copper stopped my hair loss problem. I didn't regrow any of the thin spots on my head, but my hair doesn't break or pull out in the shower anymore. Glad I learned how to eat before it was all gone.

  25. I started my journey towards Veganism approximately a week ago. Although I purchased both "How Not to Die" and the cook book. I'm still struggling to meet the micro/macronutrients. I've learned so far to make 3 grains the primary staple of my diet, but I don't want to stay eating just them. 1 cup of Oats for breakfast, 1 cup of brown rice for lunch, and 1 cup of Quinoa for dinner. I'm also getting most of my vitamins from a multivitamin.

  26. I tried an onion hair treatment I would make every three days and use every day for just shy of four months. I did not notice any significant hair regrowth. I also did not notice the hairs I already had get any thicker either. The smell was horrible and it took several minutes to apply and then several extra minutes just trying to get out later. I was hoping this was going to tell us some good news, but it did not.

  27. Okay so how to remove all the stress from my life?! I'm never going bald I know that for sure but my stressed ass is losing hair (more then normal) sometimes if the stress is increasing for a period of time. Are there any herbs that work calming but aren't harmful on the longterm?

  28. Iron is a common one I've read about at least in women with low ferritin , wonder if that applies to men too

  29. Forget the hair loss. It's a non issue. It's your body saying its your turn to be dignified. Let your bald spots shine in defiance to vanity. If you have problems over your hair loss men or women it means you don't have a hair loss problem, you have a mental image problem. Fix That and be happy with how God made you.

  30. Love your videos. One request: can you please provide a summarization of the conclusions in the end.. it feels like a set of facts, but no summary in the end

  31. I thought you where smarter to understand Epigenetic’s and that your take on Genes 🧬being the reason for many illnesses is just plain outdated unrealistic opinions genes are controlled by the environment where there exposed we are not victim of our genes 🧬 get your science straight i go read and learn about Epigenetic’s soo you dont keep blaming genes for peoples bad decision making out of lack of knowledge.

  32. The photos showed no significant difference in baldness between the twins. The major difference in both is the the one with supposedly more hair had longer hair, not more hair.

  33. I've nearly ordered those megadose biotin hair gummies soooo many times… the idea of luscious thick hair and the website testimonials always nearly draw me in!!! but I'm just so dubious and concerned about possible toxicity… Plus my hair looks exactly like my paternal grandmother's – right down to the cowlick I've got. So I guess I'll just have to suck it up and accept the cards genetics dealt me 🙃

  34. Anecdotally, I've always had thicker hair (the kind that some women are jealous about hah). I'm now over 42, went vegetarian 1997, and vegan 2005. I've had long/er hair since I was around 15. So, in my case, being long term vegan has definitely not had any negative impacts. The biggest shocker to most reading this however will probably be the fact that I'm washing and brushing my hair every day, with only a few exceptions. 🤷‍♂️ I'm not supplementing with anything except for b12 as of recently (not because I was deficient). I've got some of that M shape going, not too happy about that, but it's not too bad either.

  35. So many hair loss videos on this channel from a doctor that does everything he says to prevent it but is bold as it can be🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
