100 Risposte a “Is Dr. Greger A SOYBOY? And MORE…”

  1. Great interview but please not that for non-native speakers the interview is really hard to follow. Please keep in mind that many people here aren't native speakers.

  2. He might or might not be a soy boy, but we know for sure he's a va-x boy. Pushing untested science was an odd position for someone claiming to look out for our "health". A single action could destroy everything you've worked hard to achieve.

  3. Me “I’ve been following Dr Greger for the past 7 years there is no way I could love him even more-“
    Dr Greger “Noam Chomsky!”
When you idol idolizes your other idol 😩🙏

  4. So, what advice do I give to a friend who is intolerant to soya, nuts etc? He's a great bloke, and kind to animals, but loves meat and can't get on with corn and so on. "It just goes right through me" he says, even a single snacks is rejected.

  5. His take on coffee and sleep are insane. I literally lost legitimate respect for him by watching this. We KNOW coffee can increase blood pressure long term, and INCREASES likelihood of stroke. And not getting enough sleep is literally a precursor to dementia.

Really, really bad takes on those two counts. I’m shocked that it appears he might’ve let his own biases undermine the ACTUAL science on caffeine and sleep.

EDIT: And if he was referring to decaffeinated coffee, I’ve no issue with that, but nowhere have I seen him make the distinction.

  6. In the coffee studies he’s relying on they eliminated 1) ALL deaths under 55, and 2) ALL people who’ve had heart attacks and strokes.

So if you already died at 55 because of coffee consumption or if you already had a stroke or heart attack because of coffee consumption, you were EXCLUDED from the data.

Absolutely disturbing that he would encourage people to take drugs every single day — and on top of that, tell them that it’s HEALTHY. Jesus Christ.

  7. 6:00 Noam Chomsky, nice choice, I first learned about him from left-wing political circles I was in around the time of the 2008 financial crisis but then his work on language came up in my computer science degree, he's a really interesting individual

  8. Im a soy boy for years. I do MMA and Jiu Jitsu yet I am a “Soy Boy”. So when I tell people that I am a plant based combat athlete, they always ask “where’s your Protein? Don’t you get weak?” Then I show them my martial art fights and my weightlifting videos. Then I show them my plate full of high protein grain, legumes, and soy products (milk, edamame, miso, soy sauce, etc) and greens. All the protein I ever need. To work a 9-5 job and to train hard in m martial arts pursuit.

  9. Agree with all except Noam Chomsky. He is an extreme leftist that hates the United States, and his linguistic theories are useless. Comprehensible Input is king for language learning.

  10. Dr. Greger is one of my role models as a future physician, it's always great to learn from him! Also, it's unfortunate how the term "soy boy" has gained traction, and is the result of one of the biggest misconceptions in health. Most people don't realize how beneficial soy products are, like soy beans/tofu/edamame, etc. Most also don't know that the real issue with estrogen, comes from animal estrogen they consume from animal products. The phytoestrogens in soy are actually cancer protective, in part bc they activate beta receptors rather than alpha receptors that animal estrogen activates, leading to higher cancer risk- especially breast/uterine/ovarian/prostate cancers!

  11. what a legend, its taken me a long time but i know what to eat nowm oats blueerries walnuts for breakfast, kale buttergreens salads for lunch and stirfy with everything he reccomends for tea, blessed to be alive at the same time as dr g, still gotta read all those dam books tho ughh

  12. I have heard of Soy boys a few times online.

…Still not sure if it's an insult to plant based people or just a saying that some people use without any disrespect.

  13. So many interesting things I got from this interview! Fir example killing zombie cells properties of strawberries.
But I was surprised that importance of sleep is overrated for longevity.
Also I definitely wanna check out Noah Chomsky now, heard a lot about him, but never read

I commenti sono chiusi.
