Right from our start back in 2016, we decided to bring our beers back to nature, hosting a series of pop-up dinners in green spaces – from an experimental greenhouse in Rotterdam to one of the oldest botanical gardens in Amsterdam – naming it Lowlander Botanical Brewkitchen. Collaborating with plant conservationists, sustainable lifestylers and creative chefs the Botanical Brewkitchen showcases the extensive use of herbs, spices, peels, fruits, barks, leaves and the flavours coming from these botanicals. Our Botanical Brewkitchen at Horecava is exactly how we had it in mind: the 150m2 greenhouse did not only provide ingredients for the botanically-based beers, cocktails and dishes but also brought attention to the importance of sustainable farming, foraging and gardening.
