PS – I mention Tropea Onions in the video but I don’t go into detail on them. If you’ve never heard of them, you should definitely check them out; they’re a special allium that’s a bit like a red onion met a shallot and had a baby. They’re from Calabria and they’re very sweet. They’re so beloved that they’re known as “la regina rossa” — the red queen!

  19. Good vid amica. If that salt was sea salt you may want to change to Himalayan Pink salt. Sea salt has some bad stuff in it. Ciao

Sí, peperoni non è il salame piccante sulla pizza (alla diavola)… E i confetti non sono i coriandoli ma dei bon bon (in piemontese bun bun) che gli sposi offrono ad amici e parenti (they are like almonds covered with a thin layer of sugar)….Le bomboniere are small decorated objects which are alle gated to (or contain) the confetti. I coriandoli instead are tiny colored pieces of papers which people use to throw to each other at carnival. By the way Carnival is not a casual mondane happening or festival which can occur at any time in the year (I. e Notting hill carnival in London in August) but it is a festivity related to Easter and catholicism… (It is mondane just because precedes the "quaresima" a sort of Ramadan in the Cristian world🙂)

  30. Ciao Katie, prova con la ricotta al posto della panna, è più dietetica ed è buona. Assieme al basilico, aggiungi origano, è perfetto con i peperoni. Auguri per la nuova creatura.

MA voi Americani non capite niente siete dei pasticcioni fate un gran casino in cucina personalizzate riccette italiane che vengono da una tradizione centenaria senti a me te lo dice un Pugliese di Bari forse e meglio che ci fai vedere la cucina americana ovvero la cucina dei NATIVI AMERICANI so che voi siete bravi in una cosa in america a cucinare la carne il BARBEQUE.

    il sugo ai peperoni è il mio preferito in assoluto, in estate lo faccio spessissimo, anche se con qualche piccola differenza da come lo fai tu (che comunque sembra ottimo 👍): non metto cipolla, ma solo abbondante aglio.
    Anziché gli anacardi metto i pinoli.

  62. Uno dei crimini peggiori per me è quando mettono la pasta bianca in un piatto con il sugo appoggiato sopra, la pasta deve finire di cuocere insieme al sugo in una padella! Mi fa piacere vedere che tu l'hai fatto
