  1. It really isn't that difficult to add 1/2 teaspoon of ground cloves to many foods such as berry yogurt…smoothies…sweet potatoes….oats. I've been eating more ground cloves each week and ground cinnamon too which goes very well with the ground cloves.

  2. Smoth, YES! I add ground cloves to so many foods now…smoothies, my berry mixture, on sweet potato…and I add more than a pinch too! Takes some getting used to but not that difficult to do!

  3. I used to add cloves, cinnamon, bay leaves, paprika, onion and roasted garlic to a dish of lentils with rice that I had adapted (to remove the meat) from a traditional dish that comes with certain kind of ripened sausages and boiled blood that include some of these ingredients (paprika, cinnamon and often clove). Now I can see how much antioxidants actually contained. I should consider to include that dish again in my diet.

  4. Have you ever heard of someone losing weight–and enjoying 3 full delicious meals at the same time? Just Go and Google Fat Blast Furnace to learn more.

  5. If anyone is looking to include cloves in their diet, what I like to do is:

sliced sweet potato, red onion, garlic, and kale in a pan with a pinch of cooking oil and water with the lid over to steam. I put cloves, rosemary, thyme, allspice, and black pepper through the spice grinder, sprinkle it over the food as it cooks, and mix it in.

  6. Ok, should I take it encapsulated?  I can get empty capsules and put the powder in them and swallow.  Is there an upper limit?

  7. So, were you afraid of waking someone up?  I can't hear you because the sound is too low (sack your sound person), and you are mumbling in spots.

  8. easiest way to have more cloves is to buy it in a powder form or use a mill to make it a powder, then put it in empty pill capsules..and drink with water..you wont taste it..

  9. In India, Pakistan and other Asian or Oriental countries, whole cloves are used very often among other spices (ginger, green chilli, pepper corns, black or green cardamom, fennel seeds, coriander seeds, turmeric…) to add flavour to rice dishes.

  10. I notice cinnamon was on the list after cloves and allspice. Note that there are two different types of cinnamon: the culinary type normally found in grocery stores, and "true" or Ceylon cinnamon. The former can be contraindicated with certain diseases and the Ceylon cinnamon apparently has the benefits without the complications. Do your research.

  11. Question:   If we make pumpkin pie spice oatmeal with all the superstars in one meal, CAN OUR receptors handle that much anti-oxidant, or is it just flushed through?   Should I work to get all those anti-oxidants into my breakfast?

  12. When he speaks so quietly, I imagine he just roles over in bed and starts recording audio for the next video while trying not to wake his wife up.

He is relentless in spreading health.

  13. I am happy to come across this channel, I'm learning so many stuff, thanks for sharing it. I wonder if you already tried this kit called Lelolab. You can check the antioxidants that are in our saliva. I'm curious about it.

  14. I always liked a lot of cloves on my Easter 🐰🐇, Thanksgiving and Christmas 🎄 ham; my sister never cared for the cloves, but me however, the more the better…and whole cloves at that! I suppose minus the ham, unbeknownst to me i had a point 😊

  15. Cloves, cinnamon curcumin might be contraindicated for hyperthyroid. It could make hot flashes worse and curcumin or turmeric could cause drier stools leading to severe constipation as well as drier mouth and eyes. A safer alternative to turmeric would be common ginger. American ginseng (not Chinese ginseng) is suitable for hyperthyroid as it promotes the production of body fluid and might be able to decrease the severity of hot flashes. Conversely, Chinese ginseng, cloves, cinnamon and turmeric is suitable for hypothyroid. Focusing on antioxidants of the herb alone does not give much information because besides antioxidant it has to be divided into either yang, yin or neutral.

Otherwise blindly using it on an individual just because it has high antioxidant can sometimes cause complications for that particular individual. It all depends on his/her body constitution at that particular period in time. Traditional Chinese herbal Medicine addresses this but unfortunately modern science is only focusing on antioxidant and nothing else that is equally important if not more. That's why if you have hyperthyroidism and eats hot chili pepper as a supplement, thinking it is full of antioxidant so it must be good for you, then you're going to make your condition even worse.

  16. After my daily work out, I often get an anti oxidant bomb…. A table spoon of Turmeric, cinnamon, ginger, ginseng, cloves, moringa, spirulina, cocoa powder, honey, apple cider vinegar and lemon juice… All dissolved in a hot and strong Hibiscus tea with anis and thyme… I feel so wonderful after siping this marvelous beverage

  17. This video is outdated
Clove and Eugenol are affect the AMPK enzymes activation which then in turn reduces fat metabolism and stops the SIRT1 mechanism which is protective against cancer by deactivating interleukin formation.

Clove has for hundreds of years been used by us Indians against toothaches. But I would suggest you to do some research papers that have been published.

Clove is a very good spice but it has its disadvantages too.
I can't risk with AMPK inhibitors at all. So, no clove for me.

  18. That's why they make highly concentrated tinctures and supplements of these herbs. But beware, most herbal companies are only out to cut corners and get your money. But there are some good companies out there.
