This is all good and well, but what can we do to protect ourselves? Will over-the-counter water filters actually remove lead from water? What about in a situation like Flint, would an over-the-counter water filter actually filter out enough lead to make the water safe to drink? If so, which brands of water filters actually do anything of value and which are worthless?
Glad to see Dr. Greger is finally starting to admit to the health hazards associated with tap water.

A modern poison is glyphosate (Round-Up) and everybody is getting dosed in their food. I wish Greger would look into it and make some videos to get the word out.

We go to our local health food store and get our water for 39 cents a gallon. the water taste so good. it's a reverse osmosis system and I can tell there are no chemicals or heavy metals in it. I believe it has a carbon filter on it as well

Thank you, Dr. Greger, for keeping your ever vigilant eyes turned introspectively onto the atrocities that we human animals cannot seem to stop doing. Yes, poisoned children and people of all ages is an absolute atrocity. My only advice as to the people who've got water contaminated with lead, is to consume spring water from a good source in place of tap water. However, you will, very unfortunately, still have contamination through dermal contact with the water, and indirect contact with the water through washed dishes, but the overall amount of exposure will be significantly reduced until and if your situation is ever fixed.
