  1. Well, I'll continue to drink kombucha because it tastes really good and makes me feel amazing + doesn't have much caffeine. Never drank it because of any claimed health benefits though it is a form of your healthiest recommended beverage, "tea". All that said I'd like to know more about it and see more research of the potential negative effects. I only stick to the best brands for the sake of safety. I have had a few brands that made me feel pretty bad on occasion and I don't drink them anymore. I also feel kombucha has helped my gut health a lot, but that's merely anecdotal of course. Can't think of a tastier and more enjoyable beverage with low sugar, low caffeine, and lots of antioxidants and polyphenols (also b vitamins and K2) — coconut water is the next best thing perhaps, but a bit too sweet.

  2. Firstly, I don't drink mushroom tea. I drink ginger, green tea and fruit kombucha. Secondly, they have done me no harm so far and have helped me stop drinking more unhealthy things. Lastly, I don't take into consideration anything scientific research has to say since 'science' said we should lock down the world over the flu.

  3. Seems like the science people are rejecting the good doc's science here. Always tough to challenge someone's long held beliefs I guess.

  4. I made da mistake a accidentallay havang 1 a dose on 1 a my 14 day juice fastang days.
    Unfortunately it's a 1 brand monopolay.
    😩

  5. Kombucha I have been drinking no side effects that I noticed. I drink while fasting and definitely feel refreshed after one. Am sure there is dodgy stuff out there. Think its time some genius takes a proper look 👀. Will continue drink in the meantime.

  6. Just like you wouldn't drink 8 oz of undiluted vinegar for it's a acetic acid benefits… the same is true of kombucha! A shot or two is sufficient and it has probiotics too. Most if the studies with outliers seem to always be people with chronic health issues and/or are on medications. People have been drinking this for ages! I'm not saying it's some super food, but certainly no worse than alcoholic beverages for a treat!

  7. I'm taking kombucha for more than 5 years, after my son brought me some bottles, in order to help me with acid reflux and chronic gastritis after 7 months I don't have any more burning pain and no more acidic in my stomach. I'm still making my own komnucha. It's have more benefits for me than bad side effects.

  8. Not about kombucha…
    Dr Gregor
I recently started eating kamut for breakfast instead of oatmeal.  But now I read that it has wheat germ in it which has been identified as a problem for those who need to build up their bones (osteoporosis).  Is that so?  This info stemmed around a sales pitch for their companies collagen product.  Should I give up on the kamut?
Also what diet would best support collagen/bone density issues?
    Thanks.

  9. I just read on the CDC website that all of these adverse effects were literally people with prior health effects who were drinking it EVERYDAY for 2 months. Why aren’t we seeing the studies anymore to make our own conclusions? Seems like at this point with how nutrition facts is reporting, the only thing we’ll be allowed to eat or drink for pleasure is organic lettuce

  10. Admittedly, the science is far too limited to choose between drinking it or not. The few Isolated cases are insufficient to consider labeling it as unsafe.

  11. I've been drinking kombucha on and off for less than a year now, and I've seen no bad nor good side effects, just a pleasant drink. With only a few studies sited in this video, it seems that the title, "what's the skinny on kombucha"? failed to draw any set conclusions. Does it cause acidosis and if so, in how many who drink kombucha, or is it benign or beneficial? I'll wait for a more thorough study before ditching the kombucha.

  12. I have been drinking gt’s kombucha pretty much every day (1/2—1 bottle) for a long time now. Usually with dinner. I haven’t died. Otherwise I just drink water and plain tea. Fermented products are supposedly good, kombucha also allegedly has b12; as a vegan, I try to incorporate more of that. Even spinach can be contaminated and kill also. Soooo dunno.

  13. Do the research indicate how much was consumed? I was told never to drink more than one cup per day. I was on pills, and suffering nonetheless, for 10 years before kombucha and the positive effect was total and immediate.

  14. I drink probably a gallon of kombucha every day. I produce so much that i end up with lots of vinegar. I use that in tonics and i dump it on my compost piles. This drink literally changed my life. I feel absolutely amazing when i drink it regularly and it seems the more i drink the better i feel. My health and immunity is super charged. It helps trigger and maintain ketosis in my body. It improves my mood, energy, sleep etc.. I also sell it here in south America. We cook with it. We give it to our animals. They're all super healthy. My plants grow perfectly and enormous and fast. I've been drinking kombucha for at least 15 years and more so lately. I'm 41 years old and i can pass for mid 20s. I'm continuously discovering new uses for this tea and the scoby. I have lots of experience and knowledge in horticulture and for me it's easy to understand why and how this stuff is so beneficial.
