  1. Perfect timing for this video, Thanksgiving day! Thanks alot doc lol. I hope we all practice moderation and get back to our healthy eating tomorrow

  2. Please discuss AVM and CCM. It is genetic through my husbands family, and my 5 year old just had brain surgery after CCM caused a stroke.

  3. Dear Doctor.could you please do a video on spleen issue and it's diet.i've been siffering for 7 years now and couldn't find a remedy.my spleen size is noemal but it hurt everyday.eventhough i eat clean and hot( spleen don't like cold). God bless you for your help.if anyone has an answer to help please post a comment

  4. Instead of going on blood thinners,,I have gone to one TBS of turmeric a day,,plus I drink non-alcohol red wine to lower cholesterol,,blood pressure excellent and exercise blood sugar under control

  5. Now since you all know what overadjustment is and how to design study and carefully "randomly" choose participants to achieve outcomes you want to achieve, you can recheck Adventist study and you will find out how meat eating is not related to any of claimed outcomes.
    Thank you Dr. Greger😘👏

  6. So give us the link to the Oxford study so we can come to our own conclusions about bias. You've spent 4 minutes trying to discredit the Oxford findings – to come up with your own bias aiming to disprove their findings… Crazy.

  7. I have been vegan for 5 years, oilfree, sugarfree and salt free. I had a stroke in March after getting a flu and being so sick I almost died! I had zero factors for a stroke. It has taken me months to fight my way back. It is the most horrifying thing I have ever experienced!

  8. Been following you for a while.

Dr. Paul Saladino on JRE made what sounded a case for not eating vegetables. I do not have the expertise to follow most of what he said, but would really love to hear a rebuttal from someone who knows what they are talking about.

  9. I appreciate this topic! My mom & her mom both had strokes and then were never the same.I do best on vegan diet & restarted bp meds cuz I fear that stroke! p.s. I like his quirkiness!

  10. 0:50 – bill $ melinda gates foundation – that explains the recent shift in dr. Greger’s attitude towards helth.
Forget the immune system, wear masks, stay at home, get vaccines, this seems to be df. Greger new (and apparently more profitable) line of thought.

  11. Please address ace inhibitors, as opposed to, or compared to calcium channel blockers, in terms of the possible effects on lung cells susceptibility to virus.
I know prevention and a whole food plant based diet are the way to reduce the need for all such drugs, but for those, 'not there yet', those still on those medications, does the data show evidence that one class of meds may be 'safer', in general, in terms of this effect on the lungs? Might carefully switching meds, even temporarily, if concerned about covid and at increased risk, due to age, co morbidities, ect, assuming the channel blockers work as well for a given patient, be useful?
The 'official guidelines' are, at present, as I understand them, according to a local Nurse Practitioner, if the ace inhibitors are working, controlling BP, for example, don't change them…if not, either change meds or add an additonal med. Although she did acknowledge that the Ace inhibitors do adversely affect the lung cells in some patients. Hmmm…
This is all 'above my paygrade', as the saying goes, but I am looking for reliable sources of information on this subject, as several close friends and family members are on some of these meds and are in those higher risk groups. I would like to help tip the odds in their favor, if possible.
Another question, has anyone heard of studies linking previous flu shots with greater susceptibility to corona viruses, in general? Thanks.

  12. He sounds like he's done one of those silly media courses that teaches him to speak like people don't actually speak. People rarely hesitate mid word but this guy does; way too often.
It annoyed me so much I couldn't watch it through…..

  13. The latest research done since 2010 suggests saturated fat is absolutely necessary to good health and lowers the risk of cardiovascular disease. The journal of American college of cardiology just did a study suggesting not only that saturated fat is not bad for you but crucial to a healthy diet. Also you can check out Dr such as Ken Berry and Paul Mason that I've been talking about it recently. Dr Paul Mason goes into great detail showing that saturated fat will raise LDL but not the type that is dangerous.

  14. Thank you for all your inspiration and information and Yes I think we got the message more fruit and vegetables lower risk of strokes , and three cups of green tee everyday lower the risk, and chickpeas and lentils have the fibers and protein that will keep you fit for rejoicing for life.

  15. Thanks for the info. I suggest you reduce the audio sensitivity to the mic input of your computer (overload distortion). Here's an idea for nuts: Costco, and not doubt others, sell salt free mixed nuts. Salt free = less sodium. They are a great snack and you won't miss the salt after a week or two of salt free.
