(Come sempre, tutti i proventi vanno in beneficenza.) Stay tuned!

Thanks Dr. Greger……Mr. Phillips – Canada – Retired & moving toward a whole food plant based diet.
I love how they disregard low carb plants based diets by just measuring the effects of diets with high animal fat consumption.
Does cooking at very high temperature include pressure cooking? If I pressure cook my beans, is the content of AGEs higher?
Perfect timing Dr. G, as people prepare for thanksgiving! Maybe we can get some more plants on the table. Thank you for all your work to provide high quality information to the public without bias ❤
Is there data linking ALS or Lou Gehrig's disease to diet? Thanks, Dr. G!
Thanks doc! Sounds like the keto crew can't help suffering from the Dunning-kruger effect…
Blah blah blah.. this is great info as well as 100% opposite research and info that shows clearly that low card high fat is the way to go. What do I think? No one knows s..t and this is all BS and fads. I have vegan friends that are sick as hell and obese 24 hours a day as I do meat lovers that are sick as well. And I know heavy eaters and smokers that live to 90 without any health problems. Do and eat whatever you want.. life is too short for any of this that makes no sense and info that is as accurate as any other fad..
Cooking on a low heat for a longer time in water would produce the least amount of AGE's I presume.

Informative as always 🙂 Can't appreciate these videos enough, actually breaking down studies and presenting data. I know you've been doing this for years, but it's quite unique.
I have to say though that despite animal fat being linked to mental decline and diseases, so many people suffer and even die sooner from heart disease, cancer in their 30s, 40, 50s before they suffer mental diseases. Quite sad really. Even my own mother suffered a heart attack at age 52.
Then again, my grandfather was 62 when he had full blown Alzheimer's where he couldn't even go the toilet by himself anymore, turned beasically into a toddler, so not that old either.
Someone needs to get this info to school cafeterias.
I love how Dr G. Just presents the facts and lets the viewer make their own opinions. Being whole food plant based already, this video will not change my opinion. And I am not going to look up these studies and read. It is sort of is like a sports highlight real with summary after summary of research findings. I love it when the home team wins. 🎉🎉🎉
One question. I noticed in one of your highlighted studies that the sample size was only 16. Is that enough to make any meaningful universal conclusions? Statistically speaking, it seems pretty skimpy.
👍👍

I want a study investigating outcomes in vegans eating roasted nuts and panfried tofu/noodles. Is there still enough benefit to ditch those?
What about the fact that vegans have higher AGEs than omnivores? "Advanced glycation end products and nutrition" PMID: 12234125
Regarding the study suggesting high-fat diet impairs cognitive function, they did not specify the type of fat these college students were fed. Could it be that they were fed seed oils. There have been numerous studies associating seed oils with cognitive impairment, especially canola oil. Here is one reference: "Effect of canola oil consumption on memory, synapse and neuropathology in the triple transgenic mouse model of Alzheimer’s disease"
Very informative. Thanks Dr. G. . We can see in the list Pizza, thin crust 6,825 AGE ku/serving which is just after Chicken crispy (McDonald's). I'd like to know if it is only the crust or the whole with the topping? Maybe someone has the answer.
Ketogenic diet is a joke or even worse it's a recipe for health disaster, btw how come dr berg is up and posting videos till now with his Ketogenic diet shyte, his Cognitive still up, I guess he's cheating and eats carbs in order to function, lol
Caution. Sounds like vegetarian propaganda to me, picking apart research and slanting it without all the counterbalancing facts.
No mention of limiting carbs or fructose because of what THEY do to further diseases. This article in wrong, and misleading about health.
What percentage of your calories have to be from fat Ti be called a high fat diet? Also, what about high fat diets with many nuts and seeds?
Chris Hemsworth should see this video.
Liking the sound of an SAF test very much! Also, I see that at the time of posting this video the channel is up to 897K subscribers … Phenomenal!
Ironically 99% of people, eat meat for protein linked to improved Brain Function and expansion. This is the most Evil superstition and lie in human history. The human Brain grows and develops fastest before the age of One. What is the best food for a baby ? Human Breast Milk which has the LOWEST % Protein of all Herbivores.
What about the saturated fat in coconut milk or coconut oil? is that an equally dangerous saturated fat?
Another reason why Keto is idiotic.
What im interested to know is whether you ever cite studies that do not correlate with your position, which seems to promote a plant based diet. There are some out there that support a sat fat diet. So its ok saying youre not biased but isnt presenting one side of the argument precisely that?
What's worse for diabetes meat or white bread
We should be taught this in school.
This is a very poignant reminder for the holiday season….
This video only focuses on dietary AGEs. The AGEs formed inside the body through elevated blood sugars are ignored: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Advanced_glycation_end-product. Also the comparison vegetarian vs non-vegetarian is very generic. One can be a vegetarian and eat lots of white flour products and sugars. And one can be a non-vegetarian and combine meat&fat with high glycemic index food. These styles are both detrimental.
Vegetable oil is the oil creating heart disease not saturated fat. Saturated fat does not go bad, but vegetable oil does.
Just a classic example of manipulation with data. I can find more papers saying just the opposite. But in short – no, meat is not the source of AGEs. Only grilled chicken contains poly-methylglyoxal byproduct in the crusty skin, which has been shown not to react with our internal proteins btw, but there more studies should be done about it. Yes, meat (depending on a type and cooking style) may be unhealthy, including heterocyclic aromatic amines (HAA) and PAHs, as well as TMAO (trimethylamine N-oxide), but NOT AGEs. The main source of AGEs are carbs only – glucose and fructose (fructosamine type of AGEs) in particular. Especially fruits, sweets/cakes/candies, sugary sodas, white/milk chocolate, honey, bakery goods are very unhealthy regarding AGEs. Rice, potato, pasta, muesli, non-sweet berries too, but to a lesser extend, due to a lower glucose spikes and ability of cells uptake this low glucose from the blood stream effectively, incorporate and deposit it into glycogen, where it can't react aggressively anymore… So it is about the timing of free monosaccharides floating around. Moreover, carbs heated higher than 120 °C produce acrylamide, and even at lower temperatures (starting from 65 °C) – 5-Hydroxymethylfurfural which is almost not relevant for meat, btw. Frequent consumption of carbs is the major reason of type 2 diabetes, metabolic syndrome and obesity, on global scale. Not protecting meat here, as fatty fried meat leads to increased atherosclerosis, and indeed, to chronic inflammation too, as mentioned in video.
