doesn't ground flaxseed begin degradaytion when ground, exposed to air???? i thought you had to grind em daily to avoid the nutrient loss???
who's gonna grind 1 tablespoon a day,,,i'm hoping i'm wrong on this and buying a bag of ground flaxseed can work,,,, hard to convince family as is,,, without all the added time and effort
You lose minimal nutrients from buying flaxseed that is already ground. I wouldn't sweat the difference because it's better than not taking any.
The bacteria are probiotic bacteria that live in the gut and are a mechanism for nutrient conversion, as with the conversion of plant lignans into bio-compatible human lignans that our body can actually utilize.

how bout flaxseeds oil?
shorty, I buy whole organic flaxseeds at Whole Foods and then I grind up a week's worth in my coffee grinder –then, I store the ground flaxseeds in my fridge…they won't become rancid this way. I store the rest of the whole flaxseeds in my fridge too. Works great!

What about the hydrogen cyanide? Swedish USDA(Livsmedelsverket) says it has been found to be dangerous. Would be super cool if a video or response was made in this manner since it would really be cool to know that ground flaxseeds are safe(as this is the most spoken about type of flaxseed with the most suggested benefits) to actually get a lot of good benefits! 🙂
