53 Risposte a “The Best Mouthwash for Halitosis (Bad Breath)”

  1. I absolutely appreciate the science behind what does not work very well. I think I missed what will help. Am I to understand that just plain brushing and flossing and tongue scraping is about the best that we can do? Pleads help me see what I missed. Thanks.

  2. Not to worry anyone but……
"Zinc chloride is a white crystalline solid. It is soluble in water. It is corrosive to metals and therefore irritating to the skin, eyes and mucous membranes. It is used for preserving wood, in soldering fluxes, as a catalyst in chemical metals and manufacturing, and for many other uses."
    From: https://pubchem.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/compound/5727

  3. I had to use both chlorhexidine and diluted camomile drops daily after my orgnathic surgery to prevent the risk of infection. My tongue and some of my teeth became a little stained, but this completely disappeared within a couple of weeks after I stopped using them. Chlorhexidine is important to help prevent infection after oral surgery, the effects of which would be worse.

  4. I noticed that you didn't mention flossing at all in this video. Flossing is crucial to a healthy mouth and gums and also helps eliminate bad breath along with brushing.

  5. Since I switched to the vegan diet and cut out meat, dairy and eggs, the bad taste I always had in my mouth disappeared. I don’t need a tongue scraper, because my tongue is not coated anymore. It was an unexpected effect and I love it ❤

  6. No mention was made of flossing. When I brush my teeth and floss after, it’s amazing how many morsels of food are dislodged, which would otherwise rot and, presumably, smell as they did so.

It might be that all we have to do is to brush and floss before going to bed, and brush again in the morning. And not risk adverse side effects from chemical mouthwashes; effects that may not become known until much later.

  7. It would be very helpful if you told us what you do in the light of this evidence. I know you wouldn’t want to promote specific brands, but it would make life much easier for us.

  8. Gordon Christianson's Clinical research CRA was our consumers reports for dentists 20 years ago.
They had "bad breath" folks blowing through holes in a wall judged by others

An herbal mix called "tooth and gum tonic" was the winner at that time. Maybe you could look into it

  9. We know oral health is key to overall health.
I wonder if some foods associated with health-outcomes like garlic and green tea might partly get misattributed to compounds like allicin and catechins. Perhaps a significant and overlooked mechanism of their beneficial effects might more comprehensibly be attributed to their oral anti-bacterial and bacteriomodulatory effects.

  10. Any mouthwash, rinse or product with birch derived Xylitol works the absolute best for your teeth and oral health but stay away from those with alcohol and any other unnatural ingredients. I use XyloBurst Fresh Breath Oral Rinse Mouth Wash with Natural Xylitol – Alcohol-Free, Fluoride Free, SLS Free Cool Mint. If it too strong, just cut in increments with filtered water. There are others on the market with Xylitol, so you a have a choice. They even have a bubblegum flavored one. There's so much junk and poison on the market that "THEY" want to push into your mouth, it's ridiculous. Good luck on your search and health. Shalum.

  11. Parsley essential oil – a few drops swished in water and swallowed really freshens the mouth and breath. A clean diet and not over eating was the key for my husband. Dairy sours breath for most people.

  12. I want to say a big thanks to God for giving me a second chance in life through Dr. Emovon on YouTube who cured me from bad breath with his herbal remedies, he has really proven to be a real doc. You can reach him on any health issues you're having..🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧

  13. Anyone have any good DIY recipes? I'd rather make it myself instead of buying plastic bottles forever. I can buy half a kilo of Zinc Chloride for $35 AUD so that's probably a lifetime supply. I'm thinking green tea extract, some xylitol, water etc.

  14. I cannot find any mouthwashes in the UK that have Zinc Chloride in them. Not even on Amazon. Can I just add some zinc Chloride liquid to Colgate Plax?
