21 Risposte a “Triglycerides”

  1. All my other "numbers" were good on a WFPB diet, but my triglycerides were above 300 for several years until I quit my regular glass of red wine. Now my triglycerides are back in the normal range. Sigh… I miss the wine, mostly the ritual of a glass while I cook dinner.

  2. I did a non-fasted lipid panel and had the same issue. All my numbers were great but my triglycerides were 155… I’ve booked a fasted test to see what that looks like.

  3. 🤣A poor diet is by far the most common cause of high triglyceride levels, says Freeman. “I consider high triglycerides as a marker that someone may not be eating as well as they should,” he says. Excess calories and sugar are turned into triglycerides before being stored as fat, notes Cleveland Clinic.

  4. Many different medical conditions can raise your triglycerides. These include:

    Diabetes.
    Hypothyroidism.
    Insulin resistance.
    Kidney disease.
    Liver disease.
    Lupus.
    Metabolic syndrome.
    Nephrotic syndrome.
    Overweight or obesity.
    Rheumatoid arthritis.
Women and people assigned female at birth (AFAB) have additional risk factors. These include:

    Menopause.
Pregnancy (especially in your third trimester).

  5. Hey Dr. Shits and Gregers you do realize tons of low level steady state cardio slows your resting metabolism. You need circuit resistance exercise and intervals like walk/run. You claim to be a doctor and you havent figured this out.

  6. Increased levels could also be due to oral contraceptives, glycogen storage disease, poorly controlled diabetes, nephrotic syndrome, chronic renal failure, alcohol use, pregnancy, and apoprotein C-11 deficiency.

  7. I was plant based and my triglycerides were over 2000. Yes… 4 digits. So I have been put on meds. Much better now, but not a normal low…
