  2. Vanity is a strong motivator. I would like to say I have been a vegan for about a year now because of the animals, or the planet, or even my health, but the truth is, it keeps my weight low.

  3. Very disappointing to see a video centered around industry-funded research. Thatโ€˜s what we expect from the pro-meat folks but not from Nutritionfacts.

  4. Almonds are high in oxalate. I wonder if some of the lower oxalate nuts like macadamia and pistachio might have a similar benefit.

  5. Just 2 oz. of almonds weigh you down with 328 calories. Facial wrinkling 'science' is ridiculous lowball marketing crap from the almond industry.

  6. And yet our multi-billion dollar CDC, which we all know was a massive failure during covid, is now getting a multi billion dollar 'upgrade," and will continue be led by the same person. Now I don't believe government should dictate what we eat, but certainly things like better nutritional education (my plate, really?), school lunches, maybe even (God forbid) suggesting the direction of tax subsidies to healthier foods, like produce. Rant over, apologies.

  7. This great info! In many ways, I can see how this totally works. The regrettable thing is that if you lose enough weight then your facial skin can look MORE wrinkled due to the loss of superficial fat. Unfortunately, some of the people who "look" younger and have less wrinkles are the people who eat standard Western diets and are heavily overweight / obese.

  8. Didn't even notice but seeing this video made me look in the mirror and my eye wrinkles are completely gone… It was such a slow progression to losing them I didn't even notice. Not sure if it's the healthier diet or I've also been using red and infrared light on my face but either way I have no wrinkles where there were wrinkles before.

    And because they're high in Vitamin E.
    [The Almond Board could have studied almonds on anything. They did choose wrinkles (skin health) for a reason. I'm betting they also studied almonds on eye health.]

  11. My last partner taught me how to use my boomerang, and now I have a case of VD that keeps coming back and even more wrinkles from all the stress.

My face and neck have always been subject to fine lines in spite of being plant-based for 21 years, getting chemical peels, using Retin-A and recently, a painful CO2 laser surgery on my face and neck which improved my face somewhat but barely my neck. Then I moved to the tropics from a dry climate. Within 3 weeks people noticed and commented that I look 10 years younger than when I arrived, especially my neck. My sister tells me that when she moved to the humid climate of the deep south, something similar happened to her.

  13. Should we be skeptical of a study funded by a lobbying group that has a financial incentive in producing positive results?

    The Almond Board of California is an almond lobby. This study study should be replicated by money not connected to the almond industry.
