  7. Thank you for getting back to me.You are truly appreciated out here . I am a total sun bunny. I live in Montreal Canada 🇨🇦 and we have had a wonderful summer. I work in healthcare and have the good fortune to work from home. I am outdoors most of the day as I work evenings. I walk a lot I bike and and love to do yoga. I am working to understand my fatigue by tweaking this and that. I juice celery every day which has helped but I think it is vitally important to eat a “balanced” diet. Perhaps I need to have more seeds, and nuts …who knows I’ll keep you posted. Thank you for your knowledge .Greatly appreciated.🙏👍❤️🇨🇦🕊

  8. My family and me have been using green and brown tea as the only source of hydration for at least 15 years. We drink tea with every meal of the day. Our countless blood tests always shows perfect iron levels so I do not know this "tea with meals prevents no heme iron absorption" comes from. We have a clinic in Japan and my wife she is a doctor. Japanese drinks strong green tea at every single meal of the day and have all perfect iron. We have been on a whole plant based diet, low in fat without oil for 7 years. I am very skeptic to advice people not to drink an amazing healthy beverage like green tea at meal time as that is the only time for most people to actually sit and have time to make a tea…

  9. Why do we often “major in minor things”?

For instance, those of us whining about the fat content in Avocado 🥑 might want to zoom out a bit and consider the fat and (lack of) fibre content in the Zombie diet, where we are – like Zombies – never sated by non or imitation foods.

  10. Dr. Greger, You are confusing serborrheic keratosis with seborrheic dermatitis. The treatments you discussed are for the keratosis not the dermatitis. You don;t freeze off your scalp!!

  11. About 27 minutes into this you said you have no rice in your cookbook but you have "vegetable unfried rice" on page 144 and "yellow rice with black beans and broccoli" on page 152 😉 love your book!!!

You also say in chapter 9 under great grains in the introduction your favorite are brown, red, and black rice.

  12. Dr. Gregor

I have watched all of your videos as well as most of the other plant based doctors videos. You are impressive.

You know about the death rate of Denmark dropped when the Natzi’s took the livestock away and then went back up after the war when they got their livestock back.

I just saw the cdc site shows the death rate per 100,000 in the USA was 84.2 in 2002 and drops linearly down to 79 in 2008 and then back up linearly to 84.2 in 2013.

What happened in 2007, 2008? Well the market crashed and people probably cut back on expensive meats and dairy and ate more cheap beans, rice and potatoes. Check it out.

Also Gregor terms the Mexican Paradox of Mexican-Americans live 3 years longer than whites. Well I am in Dallas Texas with a huge Hispanic population. When you go to the grocery stores you can see the differences. The Hispanics average a dozen types of fruits and vegetables in their carts while the whites will average one or two.

Also the Hispanic grocery stores have huge produce areas with roughly 5x to 10x of each produce quantity in the mostly angry grocery stores. No Mexican paradox at all.

I thought you could run with these two items.

  13. Can you make a video on tinnitus and nutrition? there is some info out there that it's correlated with insulin problems, a Brazilian study, but not much info

  14. question min. 13:00: gregers answer on cancer was shitty… sure there are some foods that can help with cancer but this is like treating symptoms… i think greger didnt understand the disease process at all. its definitely about cleaning up your system. fastest way to do it is to go on a fast. waterfast could bring some complications as well. so i would recommend go on a juice fast with only low sugar veggies… like cucumber, wild herbs, alfalfa sprouts, wheatgrass, broccoli etc. … if you guys need help on this contact me on insta… its the same name

  15. Thank you so much for your advice. It surprisingly refreshing that people care enough to respond. I will take all the advice given and see a Dermatologist and a Nutritionist. Thanks again!

  16. Aren't sulfur dioxide and potassium sorbate preservatives used on things like raisins, figs, etc? I'm pretty sure you talked about these being mutagenic, genotoxic and causing inflammatory bowel. But here you didn't mention these preservatives…

  17. "17:45 mustard powder in kale smoothies?"

You cannot even taste it less you are putting in a tablespoon.

I use 1/2 teaspoon and I cannot tell it is in a smoothie.

    Per NutritionFacts video: https://nutritionfacts.org/video/second-strategy-to-cooking-broccoli/

"Here they used just like a quarter teaspoon for seven cups of broccoli, so just a tiny pinch can do it. Or you can add a small amount of fresh greens to your cooked greens. Right—because the fresh greens have that enzyme that can go to work on the precursor in the cooked greens."

So even in a LARGE 7 cup serving of broccoli they tested with positive results with as little as 1/4 teaspoon.

  18. If too much beans makes too much gas, then don’t eat too much beans. Some beans is good but people go crazy with beans because of all the hype. The starchy staples, vegetables, fruit are the main food and beans are a useful addition. People go nuts about beans because of protein and you don’t really want to boost your protein too much.

  19. How about a weak immune system? I live in a high pollution busy city and always get sick, i eat a completely plant-based diet but am always sick……

  20. Hi, thank you so much for your work, I wish you were my doctor!. I do everything right I exercise every day, I am vegan, gluten-free, not drinking any coffee, or alcohol, and I eat very very little processed foods. I am dealing with psoriasis on my head for the past two months and I can’t for the life of me figure out what the problem is. Could it possibly be nutritional yeast?

  21. What do you make of people doing the carnivore diet, claiming it's cured their auto immune diseases?

  22. 8:30 – "see your medical professional" (about skin problems. I spent 30 years with what more than 10 dermatologists called psoriasis and dermatitis. They fave me many different creams and steroids and none of them did anything. When I started eating a much higher percentage of fruit in my diet, my hands cleared up in 2 months and have never been a problem again.

  23. Can you make a video on energy? I've been vegan almost 5 months and have slowly lost energy to get up and do things… Maybe I'm not exercising enough but I hardly have energy to do so!

  24. "So I don't have to wonder around a strange city, in the middle of the night, looking for food!"
Literally imagined Dr. Greger doing that in my head, and laughed for like 2 minutes straight. 😂

I commenti sono chiusi.
