Adoro quello studio!

  1. this is the problem with medicine. people keep thinking that it's one component of something that cures or helps with a disease. it's ALWAYS been synergistic. ALWAYS. it's a combination of things.

  2. This guy is GREAT. Really. He gives so rich and high quality information that everyone has to wait impatiently for the next video. I learned a lot from you Dr.Greger. Many many thanks for all the endeavors – you are doing GREAT work.

  3. I consider the standardization used by reputable (and there are some) herbal supplement companies to be a means of ensuring consistent dosing. So, for example, a company may have a whole turmeric extract that is standardized to a particular quantity of curcumin. Assuming they use the same extraction method and the source of raw plant material does not vary too much, the consumer can be reasonably sure that taking a capsule from one bottle is going to have a similar effect to taking a capsule from another bottle (or lot). since the other active constituents will be present in similar proportions. Why not just use whole foods? For prevention purposes, it is probably much better/safer to do so, but for therapeutic purposes, extracts are needed in some cases.

  4. I've read that dietary diversity is among the official dietary guidelines of the Japanese government and that one ad campaign advised citizens to 'Consume Thirty Different Food Items Each Day'. Does anyone know if this policy arose entirely from scientific evidence or has variety always been considered healthful as part of traditional Japanese folk wisdom.

  5. Nature is too intelligent, you cannot change molecular structure and expect it to function the same. Its out of harmonic balance.

  6. Good video, whole food is always better than supplements. I wish the study separated the groups even further and gave each group one food to see who had the lowest PSA.

  7. But be careful, that does not mean that all extracts don't work. For example penicillin which is extracted from fungi, another example is vitamin C which cure scurvy as effective as lemons, so the idea is finding the effective component which can be more than one…

  8. My daily smoothie has raw broccoli, broccoli sprouts, power greens, carrot, banana, lemon (whole), blueberries, strawberries, avocado, flax seeds, 2 tsp moringa powder, 1 tsp turmeric powder, (¼ tsp ea. of cinnamon, black pepper, ALA, berberine, quercetin). PIlls/capsules (zinc, selenium, b12, NAC, broccco max, milk thistle, kelp). I just throw it all in the blender.

  9. I greatly appreciate Dr. Gregor telling people the truth about the importance of eating whole foods, but these study results are obvious Freemason stats. They probably just made up these numbers. Any "study" with 6's, 1/6, 3's, 1/3, 9's or any combination, and 70% … are probably b.s. numbers made up by the freemasons … who pocket the grant money for these studies. It is absolutely true that people should eat food whole … skins and seeds included … just the way God created them … but the studies are questionable …

  10. My grandpa has prostate cancer atm. I'm going to try and get him on a whole food, plant placed diet to try and help him. The radiotherapy isn't working 🙁

  11. For a great in-depth understanding of how the whole can be greater than the sum of its parts, read T. Colin Campbell's excellent book, "Whole." I'm not scientifically inclined, but it taught me a lot (just as Dr. Greger does each week!)

  12. Another great video Dr Grieger, the only concern is that with the 2+2= more than 4 idea you also have the negative side, you are just looking at the positives, lets say you grind up beets, kale, beet tops, artichoke and make a pill for Liver healing you have to take into account that these contain for example high amounts of potassium which would hurt a person with weak kidneys or kidney disease, what happens if the patient has lets say Fatty liver and you prescribe apple cider vinegar and yet he also has GERD coming from a hiatal hernia, one size doesnt fit all, our bodies are very complex and depending on what disease process or processes are going on, these combinations have to be considered.
Eating a varied diet sounds like a great idea, until you see a study against the idea of a varied diet (if there is one yet), it could be the case that our bodies can rally round and deal with one food rather than consuming many types of foods, we eat too much variety I think, our digestive system has to deal with different foods daily and react differently to each food, its possible that this in and of itself is taxing to the human body and requires great amounts of energy to deal with, there is no stability for the internal organs such as kidney, liver, stomach, pancreas etc., they constantly have to deal with different and varied foods, just a thought. But I suppose if you are dealing with cancer then you have to do anything to stop it.

  13. Iv heard that some guys have 'cured' their prostate cancer with cayenne pepper alone.
Iv started having a drink of organic tomato and pesto paste with level teaspoon of tumeric and level teaspoon of cayenne pepper and some black pepper. maybe ill throw some green tea powder and some form of pomegranate as well. but i have heard to watch the liver on such mixes

  14. when you extract the active ingredient from a herb, fruit etc it becomes toxic because the remainder of the herb ….. carries the antidote. eg floride exists naturally and harmlessly in some bodys of water and some plants but when sodium floride is added to our water supply the effects are not healthy. The fault is in the reductionist method of testing ie extracting the active ingredient , holistic herbs …… have to be tested in the holistic way ie the entire herb….. thanks for posting

  15. So if i continue to eat just my plant based diet…all of what u eat dr greger my enlarged prostate and libido will recover in time??? Or is it i drink beer every weekend holting that

  16. Not only is research not funded for ANYTHING not potentially corporately profitable but any results that indicate a low cost benefit will not be pumped like a man in jail for 10 years would pump a 17 year old beauty queen that throws herself on him by the GOVEREMNNT CONTROLLED and owned CORPORATE media but it will be suppressed, maligned, propagandized against portraying any practitioner as a tin foil hat lunatic , not favorably then looked on in Grant applications where opposite datal will get the grants etc….you must understand 99.999percent of PEOPLE are shit and will tow the company line or else…everyone knows what their place of work wants and what it DoESNT….people are dopes dupes and whores almost to a person

  17. food for medicine…fantastic…everyone should learn this before antibiotics stop working…garlic, turmeric, ginger, cayenne pepper black pepper, black cumin oil, tomatoes, grapes, pomegranates, oregano, olive, raw honey, raw apple cider vinegar, apples. not even to mention the green veggies and algies and fish and the thousands of herbs which benefit the human body in a powerful way…what do they all do ?…medicine is food…

  18. October 2011: PSA 4.7. Had biopsy done. Cancer in a few samples. Gleason 3+3, t 2.
PSA has been slowly increasing (sometimes up/sometimes down) to what is now 10.3.
Presently still in “Active Surveillance” but have refused any new biopsies. MRI done back 3 years ago showed nothing to be alarmed about. Urologist said, “if PSA continues to go up we will do another MRI. Based upon the results we may need to do treatments”. Next PSA: July 2018.

I have been on a “Plant based diet” (mix of raw and cooked) for at least the last 4 years. I drink 2- 8oz glasses of vegetable juice a day (first 2 years 6 glasses a day). No meat or sugar (except stevia), negligible amounts of dairy and bread (will probably stop them soon).
I drink some coffee and a lot of green tea. I am 68…feel great…and consider myself to be fairly active walking 35-40 minutes many days a week.

Everything I read or view on YouTube leads me to believe that my cancer should be at least in remission with PSA going down. I know that not every protocol works the same for everyone so I am thinking of adding some different protocols. Something simple I can do right now is fast 18 hours a day…I’d fast a number of days but I don’t want to lose too much weight. (only 155 lbs.). Any thoughts on why the PSA still goes up?

  19. I wonder why a study like this at the end of video doesn't have a control (placebo sugar pill), target (powdered fruit, veggies, turmeric, tea), and whole group (whole fruit, whole broccoli, tumeric, and liquid tea)? It would combine the rigorous quatitative RCT aspect and real world qualitative/perspective aspects in the same study.

  20. As a scientist myself I am highly skeptical that these tiny amounts of powdered plants with extremely tiny amounts of any components could have any effect at all. If this were true news would spread and this pill would be a best seller, others would reproduce the results. I call fake science on this one until I see more. And I believe that you would too if you were being completely honest.

  21. I had gastric bypass surgery 17 years ago and a double mastectomy last year. I am on an AI drug long term. I am 70 years old and mainly vegan. Doctors want me to take many supplements. Large intake of even the best plant based food is not possible. Any advice?

  22. THANK YOU SO MUCH DOC! ALSO THANKS TO ALL DOCTORS WHO PROMOTE PLANT BASED DIET LIKE DOCTOR ORNISH AND EVERYONE ELSE, ALL OF YOUR VIDS ABOUT PLANT BASED NUTRITION GAVE BIG HELP TO US, AFTER A YEAR MY FATHER'S PSA DROPPED FROM 27 DOWN TO 25… OF COURSE HE IS NOT FULLY HEALED YET BUT IT IS A GOOD SIGN THAT HIS PROSTATE CA HAS BEEN SLOWED DOWN SUCCESSFULLY, ALSO PRIOR TO THIS PSA TEST HE WAS DOING A LOT BETTER AS HE WAS MORE STRICT WITH HIS PLANT BASED DIET A FEW MO THS BEFORE, HE JUST LOST DISCIPLINE AND GOT INTO EATING MEAT AGAIN BUT FOR SURE HIS PSA WOULD HAVE BEEN LOWER HAD HE GOT THE TEST WHEN HE WAS MORE DISCIPLINED

  23. how about giving patients the same amount of food to eat except the difference will be the fruits. One group gets pomegranates and the other group gets another fruit in equivalent portions.

  24. AM HENRY, THANKS TO DR ONIHA WHO CURED ME OF CANCER OF THE SKIN WITH HIS WONDERFUL HERBAL MEDICATION, I WAS DIAGNOSED OF CANCER FOUR YEARS AGO, I STARTED TAKING ALL FORMS OF ORTHODOX MEDICATION, AND IT YIELDED NO RESULT, I ALMOST SPENT ALL I HAD, BEFORE A FRIEND REFER ME TO DR ONIHA'S HERBAL HOME, AND I SURMON COURAGE TO APPROACH THE DOCTOR, AND HE ADMINISTERED HIS HERBAL MEDICATION ON ME, WITHIN A MONTH AND TWO WEEKS, I WAS CURED.
YOU CAN ALSO CONTACT THE DOCTOR ON HIS EMAIL: DRONIHASPELL@YAHOO.COM OR CALL/WHATSAP HIM ON +2347089275769.

  25. My Dad takes Blood Pressure meds. Pomegranates have the same effect on my Dad's blood pressure as grapefruits do …. drops it way too low. He now avoids grapefruits and pomegranates.

  26. Gregor cannot help himself. even though the study success was from supplements instead of eating a gallon a day of veggies, Gregor recommends u eat the veggies instead.

  27. I work in a large hospital with the biggest urology dept in the area. Operations are done robotically and everybody is so proud and big headed. Unfortunately foodwise they promote meal replacement shakes and everything in moderation. So cringey. My uncle has decreased his psa with a plant based diet – he is happy and his doc is still scratching his head.

  28. The Turmeric, Broccoli and green tea are all known to suppress cancer, each alone ; there for this proves nothing concerning the viably of the Pomegranate.
Other fruits (Cranberries, lemons ,apples) other vegetables (Garlic, leaks, Beets) as well as other spices (ginger, pepper, cinnamon, oregano) are all known to be highly aggressive cancer fighters.

  29. You have superb service at #DrKanayo Peterson, your kind personality is very rare to find; my husband has been cured of prostate cancer thanks to your #14daysnegative Herbal Medicine exactly as you promised. His health status has been completely restored; the lab doctors cannot believe he made it through with herbs alone
