Aspetta, ho detto malattia coronarica inversa? Come invertire l'assassino n. 1 di uomini e donne? Ho molti video sull'argomento, ma Come non morire di malattie cardiache (https://nutritionfacts.org/video/how-not-to-die-from-heart -disease) è un buon punto di partenza.

  1. Fake studies plants cannot rebuild the brain and spinal cord and muscles and tendons and ligaments in the body.
Non-heme iron is barely absorbable from plants in the body.
Cholesterol is needed majorly in the human body to produce your hormones and create every single cell in your body.
Humans have been on this planet for hundreds of thousands of years and their diet has been 99.999% meat plants have only been used in emergency situation

  2. Doc!! Thank you for sharing these case reports. Some of the results sound remarkably similar to those demonstrated by Drs. Esselstyn and Ornish in their respective long term studies. WFPB has been amazing for me personally. The body fat percentage keeps going down. I've lost 8 kg (17.6 lbs) over the last 2 months, and suddenly old pants fit me. WFPB Low Fat for the last couple of months, but vegan for 4 years. Gotta keep tightening that belt. I don't think I've had serious heart disease (except for potentially having fat build up in my system from my pre-vegan years) but glad to be reminded of the cardiovascular benefits as well.

  3. Shouldn't this data be filtered to look at if individuals were active exercises or not? I would imagine sedentary people are the most at risk with a meat diet. While active people in sports and daily exercise maybe not. Though, to be fair, this episode is looking at people with heart disease, which are generally very inactive people. So, I get the want to put them on a plant diet for fast results.

  4. Humm and why is it only humans and our pets have diet related metabolic dysfunction and disease none of the other animals on the planet contend with diet related dysfunction and disease.
Other animals havent fuked with nature and invented agriculture turning things like grain into pure fuel just like processed sugar and refined seeds into oils then made complete food industries of processed foods just based on those plant based ingredients.
Go to the center of any grocery store grab a package and read the back and you will find with certainty 70% of the ingredients are made from grain, sugar and seed oils because 70% of the American diet is comprised of these things. High fructose corn syrup was one of my favorites considering i drank at least a 6 pack of Mountain Dew a day. The only reason im still here was because i have always been somewhat active. I did not eat that much animal products it was mostly the grain based garbage. I loved everything made out of bread especially and cereal, rice, beans, chips i ate salad and vegetables on occasion and animal products on occasion but most of my calories were coming from carbs and i ended up pre diabetic with high blood pressure. Then in 11 October of 2021 on a Monday I quit the sugar, starch and grain as well as high glycemic vegetables and fruit and started a diet of primarily meat, fish, eggs and low glycemic vegetables and fruit. Started exercising 3 days a week for 1.25 hours at the gym doing a non stop moderate heart rate circuit and a walk run interval at a local park of around 3 miles/40 minutes the other 3 days. Its been 1.75 years ago and i have maintained my weight and my labs at every 6 months have me in my late 40s instead of 57 which is what I am now.

There are more and more people daily finding out we have all been lied to about what is and isnt healthy and from my own experience eating meat and eliminating the high glycemic carbs is why i lost the weight so fast. I list 40 lbs in 3 months.
The human digestive system and body is not built to eat excessive carbs we only possess 600 grams which is roughly 2400 calories of glycose/glycogen storage and once the storage is full the extra glycose we eat is converted to triglycetides/fat for fuel and storage.
More importantly at rest and during low level activity as shown in a metabolic chamber we burn mostly fat. Only during high intensity exercise do we burn mostly carbs.
So it makes zero sense we would be fueling ourselves with the fuel we only use primarily to escape predators. Our body is built to primarily burn fat. Only the brain and blood cells require glucose even the heart itselfs fuel is triglycerides/fat.
Its the combination of too much pure sugar and too much pure fat and not enough movement/exercise that is causing our metabolic and disease issues. This goes back to humans inventing agriculture and refining grain into flour and cane and beets into sugar. You cannot combine these things with fat or you create dysfunction. Before agriculture humans were hunter gathers relying primarily on animals and roots for food. That is a far cry from pure grain/flour, sugar and oil. Once you strip away the fiber you create the foundation of metabolic dysfunction and disease be it combined with seed oil or be it with animal fat it still creates the same problem.
Hence why i choose to eliminate the processed grain, starchy vegetables like potatoes and sugars from my diet and stick with what nature created not humans and science frankenstein of processing.

  5. I was a vegan for 4.5 years, largely influenced by this ding dong. Fortunately, I started to read the evidence for myself when my health got worse.

First, the anecdotes are not evidence. Case studies are interesting and useful for hypothesis generation, but they are being presented here as good evidence for effects of veganism. This borders on unethical.

Second, the Ornish trial–please read it for yourself–doesn't prove it was the plants. The intervention was a low fat vegetarian diet (maybe it was the yogurt?), stopped smoking (a major causal risk factor for heart disease), started exercising, the "reversal" in stenosis was modest, and cardiac events were not measured. If you have a heart attack anyway, who cares about a modest decrease in stenosis?

Nutrition facts is veganism clothed in pseudoscience. If you want to be a vegan, good for you. But we need good evidence to make claims about health, and this is not it.

  6. Asking people to make tiny changes to their behavior results in less change than if you asked for big changes. People are more likely to exercise for 10 minutes a day if you say they should exercise for 30 minutes than if you say to aim for 10. It's like haggling. Ask for your ideal and expect them to meet you halfway. Don't begin by asking for the bare minimum because you're afraid if you ask for too much you'll put them off.

  7. Im listening to you Doctor! I used to listen you and was lead astray by those other doctors that tell you avoid plant based foods and i regret it. I was better when i used to follow your channel

  8. I have said it before, think I will say it one more time. The guy is a warrior hero. Wonder how many lives He has saved, how many families He has spared grief.

  9. I eat a plant-based diet myself after reading How Not To Die during the pandemic. It has changed my life completely. I do not miss animal products at all – actually, I find them gross now and could not make myself eat them. I wish my husband would join me but nope, so far he has shown no interest whatsoever even though he knows the importance of switching to a WFPBD. I hope I will be able to make him see the light at some point, so that is my new goal now.

  10. Thanks, Dr. Greger for your continued public education efforts. You made a big difference in my life and inspire me to make better decisions for my health on an ongoing basis.

  11. Thank you so much for sharing your expertise with us! ❤ If you don’t mind me asking, I would love to know your opinion on “prebiotic/probiotic sodas/fizzy drinks” like Olipop, Poppi, and (my favorite) Recess- are these really good for us or just a slightly better alternative to regular soda? I love them but am unsure if they’re nourishing enough to have on a consistent basis 🥤

  12. Plant based diets are the biggest scam of this century. The amount of misinformation regarding the ”ethical” brainwashing propaganda is criminal and utterly sickening. The "evidence based nutrition" is so corrupt at this point its diabolical. Resulting in you following these guidelines or current fabricated cherry picked and/or tampered studies regurgitated by these fake doctors that leech your trust in them. Within years of following such ridiculous diets you malnourish yourself, and by god, your children. Listen to your body, and research without content what our ancestors true diet and lifestyle was

My story, I am a 25 year old male with multiple sclerosis & evidently went a biblical, no fault "Whole food vegan diet WITH supplementation" as it was "evidently" the healthiest diet for the disease and human health in general. How delusional i was. 3 years in suffering with a plethora of symptoms, constant inflammation restricting my body from working out as much as i wanted to and doing normal every day things, even though i was eating every single "anti-inflammatory" "Superfood" (biggest clown word used in this plant based culture, as most of them are loaded with toxins like saponins, goitrogens, lectins, oxalates, tannins, and phytates. Which they don't disclaim any harm. Wonder where kidney stones come from?) under the sun, neurological issues (depression, anxiety & hypochondriac mainly), never ending brain fog & bed ridden fatigue, DAILY bloating, constipation, 2-4 stools a day (from the indigestible fibre, practically consuming sawdust) and everything was getting worse by the week. I was giving up on life and eventually decided to add meat back into my diet as for these 3 years whole food vegan with supplementation, it was as if my body was instinctively telling me to eat some sort of meat, yet my ignorance and self righteous pride attached to this plant based diet neglected such efforts to consume it. So I thought at this point, I may as well give it a try as i have nothing else to lose right? Unbelievably within a couple days things started getting a little better. So i decided to see this out for a couple more weeks and everything got better and better. Now this is where i thought i should try the biggest transition of all. To the other side of the spectrum, as this plant based diet COULD be a complete joke. Essentially I went cold turkey & started going keto/carnivore (low carb). It was hard eliminating all these toxic carbs/sugars (only whole food plant based carbs and sugar is only from whole fruit sources) full of oxalates & anti nutrients, as well as carb/sugar withdrawals which have been closely linked to the same symptoms you could get from withdrawals on alcohol/cocaine and other hard drugs. The first month was bumpy but the most amazing thing for me was that my digestion from only eating grass fed & finished beef/lamb(or any ruminant animal), wild caught seafood (sardines mostly as they're one of the lowest mercery concentrated fish), salt & water (plus some magnesium citrate at night), was better than the entire 3 years on what seemed to be a joke of a diet at this point. All these terrible GI/neurological symptoms diminishing. Seeing most of my debilitating symptoms from the MS unnoticeable/minimal. I am now 2 years into this keto/carnivore diet/lifestyle and am stronger and healthier than ever, living my life to the full. No longer feeling like a sick animal, i feel like I'm THRIVING and living as nature intended. Still having minimal symptoms of MS but everything in every aspect of my life is amazing, even though I still wake up to this nightmare of a disease daily. This story is my own testament & only hope for others to see this story and try an animal based diet our for themselves before they get too malnourished and sick on plant based diets by your own ignorance and pride to make changes if things aren't working. Remember, any diet that requires any type of base line supplementation (Vitamin D, B12, DHA, IODINE) is NOT a proper human diet. I feel even closer to mother earth now as consuming an animal for its nutrients and vitality is as natural as it gets. For something to live, something must die. This is the cold hard truth of the cycle of life. Anyone still afflicted by these ideals please research into what has happened to our world since the agricultural revolution. This plant based movement has only really been around for 80 years or so, so really think about that & research without content what our ancestors true diets were. The answers lie there if you need an abundance of information before you make any drastic changes to your health. Remember health is not only wealth, it is everything in this life we have. Do not let emotions, ignorance, pride & brainwashed ideals segregate your thirst for the truth

  13. Thank you Dr. Gregor – love your independence and trusted advice … it’s been a total game changer for us – now our health and well-being is so much better it’s astonishing. Thanks.

  14. We're being bombarded with information from experts saying a plant-based diet is best and others saying a carnivore diet is best. I was just about to start a plant-based diet as a 1-year trial, but then I came across this scare about oxalates and how toxic they are! What do you think of the advice given in this video – is it accurate? I'm so confused 😕 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ANo2r4QF1Ow

  15. this makes no sense. dr michael gregor says plant based helps obesity, diabetes, kidney stones, depression, and other mental health disorders. this is obviously false. carnivores never experience any of these problems. PLZ TELL US THE TRUTH MICHAEL GREGOR. I BEEN FOLLOWING YOU FOR A LONG TIME.
