  1. Lost 40 pounds with a combination of Dr. Greger's "How Not to Diet" and Dr. McDougall's "Starch Solution".
Whole oat groats with a little flaxseed and mango or banana for breakfast.
Whole starches with vegetables for lunch (no oil, no sugar), only water after lunch for the rest of the day. The fat disappeared pretty fast.

  2. What about those with Metabolic Syndrome? High bp, high sugar (type 2 with diabetic neuropathy and insulin resistance), high cholesterol, high triglycerides (311), obese (25%), leukocytosis, polycythemia, 54% of kidneys working, fibromyalgia, and other medical conditions? What Can you eat, even Plant Based, when you’re told you can’t even have carbs like 100% whole grains, beans and legumes, salt, oil, sugar-Any sweets- even natural fruits, to eat as low glycemic as much as possible, and avoid All processed foods. Should I just start buying food, although it Is processed, and avoid everything else Entirely?

  3. I have three boys that when I gain physical custody of were overweight. All of them under the age of 13 at the time I gain custody. Now my youngest is 13 and all of my children are at healthy weights. Thanks to a whole food plant-based diet. They get outside and run around far more than they ever have. They don't get tired when riding their bikes like they used to. They can be gone for two hours riding their bikes at the park. They used to come back in 5 minutes exhausted. With a little bit of exercise and a healthy eating plan we have hope for the future of our children.

Anyone who suggests anything other than a whole food plant-based diet for children, Whether they realize it or not, are abusing children.

  4. It’s such a simple message, yet so many miss it. In under a year after going vegan, I got rid of my super high cholesterol, triglycerides, fatty liver, pre-diabetes, GIRD, high blood pressure, and lost 20 pounds to boot.

  5. If we'd truly be omnivores an omnivorous diet would be beneficial to our health, whereas in reality it's detrimental to our health. Only when the choice is between dying of starvation or eating animals you can claim eating animals is beneficial. But who is currently in that situation? Barely anyone.

Of course a plant based diet comes with a little more conscious eating, since all the stuff that animals get supplemented with, most notably B12, can't be found in plants. Yes natural bodies of water still contain sufficient amounts of b12, but the added chemicals won't help you, so better take a supplement until we have banished the use of chemicals and cleaned up the planet.

  6. Dude settle down. Just don’t eat bullshit like pastries and Oreos.

Eat basic ass food like chicken and vegetables, fiber, limit beef but lean beef when you do, go outside, get sunshine, and get good sleep, oh yeah and turmeric and you’ll be alright

  7. Eating to lose weight will always be harder for those trying to loose the very excess energy they put in over and over from their past. its energy in, energy out, thats life . So years and years of putting so much energy into the body and not expending that energy builds and builds and builds! everyone wants a quick fix when it wasn't an overnight feeding frenzy that put them in the situation in the first place… it was years. You get what you put in, and lose what you take out. It takes time, dedication, and consistency. It is mentally and physically exhausting. Most that have that excess, often built it in a mentally disabling state, a rooted issue deep inside from their own life. So its alot more than eat this eat that to loose weight for most, its getting to the root of the cause that put them in the body they are in now.

  8. Does anyone know of an oil free algae dha supplement? Dr greger recommends it but also recommends 0 oil in the diet. I don't mean fat free BTW, I just want the algae in a fuller form, not refined oil which is just part of the algae.

  9. A diet made in heaven wholefood plant-based eat as much as you like. Absolute bullshit. Eat as many nuts as you like, yeah right. Avocados, just eat as much as you want, I don't think so.

  10. I'm skeptical as to how participants in this study eating as much as they wanted still lost weight and maintained the lower weight. In my quest for a truly tolerable weight loss and maintenance solution, I have followed youtubers who eat WFPB and initially lost weight but somehow were able to go off the rails, still eating those whole foods (they say), and regain weight. So is there really hope in finding a sustainable solution for getting to a healthy weight and maintaining it? Does the How Not to Diet book get more in depth about this?

  11. I have a question about the daily dozen app: ist there any video or article where dr. Greger says how to adapt the serving sizes to the body size? I ask because I am a thin 5.2 tall woman, not sure the average minimum is the minimum for me

  12. 'evidence based eating' 😂 is that the same cherry picked 'evidence' that proves a vegan diet reverses blocked arteries? You're days of misusing that label are over. The carnivore community has been pointing out for years how flawed the vegan logic is in their 'evidence based' interpretations I'm glad the vegans are finally catching up. Nutritionfraud.org

  13. I bought the book, I watched all the videos, I'm losing about 2 pounds per week, after a year I'm down 50 pounds. My troubling cholesterol and other bloods are mostly normal now. And I'm proud that the BROAD study was run here in New Zealand.

  14. Living in Israel it was so easy being vegan. Moving back to the States it's incredible how little people even know about real food! We've spent 50 years letting corporations do the cooking for us.

  15. I eat a Ketoish type diet(as well as IF), also to great effect. I eat meat but very little even whole grains, but the common factor is the key. We both cut out processed foods including sugar and refined grains. I'm wondering if that is the key, and the best diet for someone is the one that allows them to best avoid sugar.

  16. My girlfriend whos been a vegetarian her whole life is 300 lbs. Why? Because she gorges on sugary foods. I have another vegan friend who is also fat.

  17. If you are already reasonably fit and healthy be very careful about going to extremes (eg. eating nothing but X, Y, Z), it does not end well. For people massively overweight or with major health problems I suppose the immediate weight loss benefits alone can outweigh the nutrient deficiency risks in the short term. However its never a good idea to gloss over his advice to maintain balance and consume a wide variety of whole foods. Your diet needs to be something you want to do for rest of your life. Never pick ONE "magick" random food (like beans or whatever) and eat only that. Your body needs a huge array of micro nutrients, fats, minerals and vitamins.

  18. I‘d argue: the best diet for weight loss is NO diet.
    Fast. Water only.
(by the way: I'm vegan since 2013. Still struggled with keeping my weight stable. 🙂)

  19. Given the plant-based plan, how many times a day do you suggest to eat? Eat as many times throughout the day?

  20. I want to share to my fellow women how i got my multiple fibroid shrink and unblock my tubes with Dr Ehimare herbal supplement. All thanks to Betty Thomas for leading me to doctor #drEhimare herbal supplement on YouTube.and he also have cure for other disease and infection.
