  1. It’s rather scary to think that it could – 2 friends of mine who worked wearing a headset in their job (answered phones all day via headset) developed cancer in their face, ear and jaw – it was exactly where the headset was. And yes, they both died from it. Anecdotal, yes, however something to think about.

  2. Lead attorney made famous by the OJ Simpson murder trial Johnnie Cochran died of a brain tumor caused by using his cell phone repeatedly throughout the day.

  3. Scientific reports do not even need to be funded, just give some money to our politicians and they will validate anything. For ex. the EU just copy/pasted a hundred pages of reports from Monsanto to conclude that glyphosate are not dangerous at all…

  4. Interesting to see you add more topics that aren't nutrition.
Feedback: What I would like to see is more concise information on some topics. For example the recent videos on rice were excellent but there were so many that it got a bit confusing.

  5. Great. So it's not just the meat and dairy industry… How has the world become so capitalist that making money comes before a whole population's health. These people disgust me.

  6. I use heart rate monitor with bluetooth in sport. SHIT

Isn't there a foil that prevents radiation? Maybe I can wear it too?

  7. In Italy a judge granted a sum of money to a person who got a neurinoma due to cell phone, he used it 3 hours every day.
I don't remember how it ended. A woman in London sued the cell phone producer because she would keep it in her bra. After 10 years she developed breast cancer.

  8. I won't be able to live without my cellphone, but whatever comes out. I am definitely getting a hands-free headset. I will eat, Bok Choy, cabbage, broccoli, walnuts, flax seeds, and sweet potatoes the rest of my life. I should be more or less ok. Thanks to these videos!

  9. Speaking of science manipulation, it would be really interesting to see a video about vaccines given the alleged hiding and alteration of data by the CDC that was exposed by some internal whistleblowers. I also hear that a former CDC head is now president of Merck. Is this supposed fraud a serious possibility and vaccines something we should be wary of? I ask also because in Italy the health minister has now made 10 vaccines mandatory for children, and it's something the population is really concerned about.

  10. Unsurprising that the vast majority of your demographic saw this video as justification for their long-standing opinions. You've managed to cultivate a strange following that watches exclusively peer reviewed, empirical content, yet ultimately doesn't care about anything other than confirming what they already know (and conforms to a trend, exacerbated by these videos, of some sort of stereotypical vegan and pseudoscience anti-technology hippie). Showcased wonderfully by the dismal comments on this video. Do they not annoy you, someone to who data is the ultimate arbiter? Or are they part and parcel of running a YouTube channel? Or maybe, more cynically, encouraging these sorts of views is the entire point.

  11. thankfully I always talk on speakerphone, never while driving and turn it off at night not keeping it bedside either. The fact that guys keep it in their pockets is another concern. Perhaps stick it in an EMF wrap cover, then put it in the pocket.

  12. I must admit, I preferred it when videos came out daily, so we didn't have to wait too long for what happens next! Keep up the excellent work, Dr. Greger and team.

  13. There are no objective organizations when money is involved. Science is not about the answer, its about the question, thus as long as the big money companies are funding PhDs, which they are, the questions will reflect a desired answer. I dont care if its the NIH or the WHO, science is deeply rooted in who's footing the bill, and what consequences there will be if we ask the right questions.

  14. The radioation from earth itself is a lot bigger threat, interesting topic tho. Alumnium foil would actually protect against this 😂

  15. Anyways you can deny most of the bad affect on health by putting your phone on airplay mode and use wifi. Tho would be interesting to see how internet connections affect humen. I guess they have so huge and important part in our lifes that we should focus finding a way to protect our cells from all these carsinogenes

  16. How are these electromagnetic waves from cellphones even having any effect? There's no ionizing radiation, and surely a minute of sunlight vastly outweighs the amount of non-ionizing radiation absorbed from a day of cellphone use

  17. In 2011, and I quote;
"The WHO / International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) HAS
CLASSIFIED RADIOFREQUENCY ELECTROMAGNETIC FIELDS AS POSSIBLY CARCINOGENIC TO HUMANS, based on an increased risk for glioma, a malignant type of brain cancer1, associated with
    wireless phone use."
    There we go.

  18. With wireless earphones & earbuds taking off it will be a field day for research because people listen to music for hours a day, especially on their commute to work. Question, is Bluetooth as damaging a form of radiation? After all, we are inserting them directly into the ears!

  19. _______________
Brother, the time length that people are using cellphones is decreasing exponentially – now people use gsm-data/Wi-fi on their phones mainly (whatsapp, skype, facetime) – so, will you please do a similar research for: gsm-data and another for Wi-Fi ?

  20. I just ordered the Apple Watch 3 LTE, this video came at an ironic time because I too have wondered if having a cellular radio strapped to my wrist is an increased localized tissue cancer risk 🤔

  21. Thank you Dr. Greger and team. Nice to have you around in this time of immense confusion and fake news all over the place.

  22. If there is a positive association then what is the risk level? Well, next video. I wonder if it turns out to be something like the issue of living close to big power lines. The only risk seems to be very weak association with childhood leukemia and big power lines; IIRC, it less than doubles that risk from something like from one to almost two out of a hundred. If it is that small then there is practically nothing to do about it.

  23. Is this still a thing, though? People don't use their phones to talk anymore. They don't even know how; it is no longer in their communication skills.

  24. Shouldn't financial conflict of interest in health studies be transnationally illegal? Wouldn't spreading misinformation and confusion actually hurt people? I get that counter arguments and studies are necessary for science but this is a little ridiculous. Killing people through misinformation or greed is wrong and should be illegal.

  25. Eh.. Okay there's issues with all the conspiracy cognitive-dissonance idiots in the comments…

Firstly, you'd have to be on the phone a HUGE amount, which nowadays we are with texting being more popular.

Second, most people use earphones and their earphone speakers to chat, and their phone is in their pocket. That will reduce the risk greatly.

Third, you're watching these videos, so I presume you eat a healthy diet, the free-radicals can be dodged pretty easily if you're healthy.

Fourth, technology is getting better and better and slowly phones are releasing less of this energy, so you have little to fear.

Finally, this video too misleading, I love you Greger, and I approached this with an open mind, but you can't go ignoring studies. Many show no correlation, and no increase in tumors and various types of cancers. I chose to go vegan despite being raised in a omnivorous society because that's what studies and facts showed me, the same as I believe in science, and don't believe in the chakra's, the third eye, or the illuminati. And while I am not saying this is as unrealistic as that, I am saying there is little to no evidence supporting claims like this, it's a waiting game, and to be fair, you should hold back more, because you release a lot of videos showing some amazing studies, but you need to refrain and wait. Be patient.

  26. It's just nature's way of telling us that we're spending too much time on all this technological crap. It's time to set down the devices and get back to our roots

  27. Check out a video by Veritasium 2 years ago.

Since the invention of cell phones the amount of brain tumors hasn't gone up. This is pretty conclusive evidence that it probably doesn't cause cancer, unless the tumors will take decades to form (longer than we've been able to observe) and then we're all screwed.

  28. In 2011 The World Health Organization classified EMF (electromagnetic radiation from things like cell phones, wifi, baby monitors, cell phone towers etc.) as a class 2B human carcinogen (possible human carcinogen). Since then, scientists from around the world have petitioned the WHO to reclassify EMF as a class 2A human carcinogen (probable human carcinogen). https://ehtrust.org/science/whoiarc-position-on-wireless-and-health/ Though, aside from cancer risk, this radiation has been shown to affect human physiology in a myriad of other ways.

  29. Thank you so much for educating the public so we can make more informed decisions, Dr.Greger. This info is so crucial, and most people aren't informed on subjects like these (I'll include myself in that list).
Slowly learning and re-learning w/ countless others due to the information you research & share. 💚🐾🌱

  30. Great video, however, the focus only on cell phone use and cancer is a bit myopic and almost a red herring. To truly understand the threat of man-made non-ionizing radiation (EMF/EMR), one must consider all frequencies including power lines (50/60hz) and dirty electricity as well as the dozens of linked symptoms and chronic ailments that can be caused by these relatively novel exposures.

For example, a person can have never owned/used a cell phone but still have abnormally high exposures to wireless and wired electromagnetic fields in their home and work environment, which will increase their likelihood of being sicker, sooner. Smoking cigarettes clearly increase your chance of getting cancer, but let's not forget about 2nd/3rd hand exposures to tobacco and the many other health problems to which they contribute.

Cell phones are a small piece of the EMF puzzle. Proximity to power lines/substations, house wiring in the bedroom, DECT cordless phones, Wifi routers, cell towers, "smart" everything are cumulatively much more important than the question of whether cell phones cause cancer.

  31. Folks dont get that non-ionizing radiations are either acidifying or alcalinizing.

It is my understanding that men dont use alcaline rays. We just dont and thats a problem, a big one for us and the environment.

  32. Hello. I have a question not related to this particular video:

I recently started watching Dr Greger videos and now just watched a few videos with Dr Bikman. Very confusing. Both Dr. Greger and Dr Bikman cite scientific studies that arrive at seemingly different conclusions and advocate different diets? Please advise. Low carb and high fat versus the opposite.

How does one really find out what the truth is?

  33. What's your opinion regarding Orthotropics? The concept of prevent crooked teeth by changing posture to expand the jaws the way mother nature intended.

  34. There's no question that cellphone radiation causes some harm. Its not benign like holding a banana. The question is how much does it take to cause cancer.

  35. At EMF Warriors, we get into the biophysics details on a daily basis talked about in this video, including specifics with oxidative stress and mitochondrial function.

  36. Cellphones emit a form of Electromagnetic radiation known as non ionizing. There is no health risk and if you don't believe me. Can you receive any form of TV or RADIO signal where you currently sit? If so you're being bombarded with the same radiation 24/7. Forget your phone or even the RADIO or TV, why is there static between stations? It's the universe's cosmic microwave background radiation smashing you 24/7. Same shit.
Yet we live longer and longer.
