Mandorle per l'osteoporosi

Cosa succede quando si gocciola sangue prelevato da persone prima e quattro ore dopo il consumo di mandorle sulle cellule ossee?

E i latticini? Vedi: Il latte fa bene alle ossa? (http://nutritionfacts.org/video/is-milk-good-for-our-bones/)

Non sarai dopo aver visto Nuts and Obesity: The Weight of Evidence (http://nutritionfacts.org/video/nuts-and-obesity-the-weight- di prova/).

• Quali spezie combattono l'infiammazione? (http://nutritionfacts.org/video/which-spices-fight-inflammation/)

  1. Are you really going to host "The Doctors"? The meat and dairy industry will shut that show down. All of the doctors on that show support the usda food pyramid.

  2. That study by the almond industry that compared almonds to eating cookies – oh my! I laughed outloud. I do eat a handful of almonds each morning with my breakfast and I believe it helps control my appetite during the day as I'm losing weight and not feeling deprived. I consider it a necessary tool in my diabetes management – and especially as a senior woman who wants to prevent osteoporosis.

  3. This causes problems. I have been eating about an ounce daily of pecans or walnuts, based on one of your videos, because they decrease the risk of prostrate cancer tremendously. They also contain lots of Vitamin E in the gamma form, not the alpha form. This might be the reason they are effective against prostate cancer. It has been shown that the alpha form of vitamin E can suppress the gamma form.

Almonds have Vitamin E in the alpha form, NOT the gamma form. I could eat both, but that would be fattening. What should I do? I don't have prostate cancer but I don't want it either, but DEXA scans are showing the bones are getting less and less, (though osteoporosis is not present, and my bone density is above average, but dropping.)

    What to do?

  4. If you want to strengthen your bones, you eat right and exercise. Marxist Democrats like Dr Greger don't like mentioning the word exercise. Read what NASA scientists are researching and recommending to prevent bone loss from their astronauts. Use Google. Thumbs down on the video.

  5. Waiting for someone to type drink more milk my grandmother has Osteoporosis and only stopped drinking milk becasue it was no longer sitting well in her stomach while taking calcium pills

  6. I so appreciate how Dr. G explains things…even an unscientific mind like mine can grasp these concepts the way they are presented and as a result, I can "eat my medicine" in delicious foods such as almonds! Thanks Dr G!

  7. Sounds Good think even better way of ingesting almonds would be to soak them during the night they then are activated and absorbed more efficiently .

  8. I   L O V E  Almonds!!!!  💕💖💕…..but then I am just nuts for nuts in general….  and my favorite nuts still are walnuts  🙂

  9. Almonds  won't help with osteo because the have no saturated fat in them , which you need to absorb calcium . That's why "whole" dairy is so important and why everyone is D deficient  everyone quit consuming "whole" dairy believing the big lie it's bad . Vit D is a fat soluble Vit and to absorb fat soluble Vit you need the saturated fat in foods .

  10. For years I had homemade almond butter on rice cake for lunch. I did not feel hungry before dinner and I did not gain weight. More recently, I make organic almond milk in my Vitamix for my breakfast cereal. Unfortunately, I have osteoporosis. Does it make a difference if the almonds are roasted?

  11. So we can say that almonds reduce the number of bone eating cells.
But do almonds effect bone constructing cells and in what manner?

also = there can be a lot of grammar mistakes in my comment = I'm Ukrainian = so if you see some = help me to improve my English)

  12. Hmmm OK so maybe eating turmeric the food vs. the supplement may have helped 3 women.
Yet a study using I assume with many more than 3 and using supplement tumeric showed no benefit.
I have to lean toward maybe it has no benefit since 3 women are not that many to bet your life on.

I mean in countries where people eat substantially more turmeric every day … do they have nearly zero cases of Alzheimer's?
If so that would be significant.
But if they just have less, and there are other populations in other lean walk a lot countries without access to much sugar etc, who have similar statistics of lower incidence of Alzheimer's then tumeric may not be a cure for very many… without the lean walk a lot background, low sugar ect. other factors.
Alz is tough. I tried everything I could, but could not stop it in my mom. Even tried tumeric but arghhh it made the food taste awful. So I did not use it long enough to tell.
Glad to see a MD doing alternative medicine articles. I think my question is valid. There are people who turn out to not have Alzheimer's who recover when the true cause of the symptoms is fixed. Could be a mini stroke to a part of the brain, fluid pressure in the brain (often fixed with a stent) and probably several others especially if medications are involved.

  13. Dr Greger have you seen this information about almonds. I realise the company saying it, the Calton's, are completely up to their ears in money making habits, but they reckon that almonds have too many nutrition depleting things in them which outweighs the goodness you get from them. As a vegan (in Sydney Australia) our community is freaking out that almond milk is now apparently bad for you. Here's the link to the article https://www.caltonnutrition.com/say-no-to-nut-milks/?fbclid=IwAR0i-VC0IEO4tfs0N65OKj_DYNmS446SZhACDcdLim44LUflMJpMUUFY5Ew
I'd love you to be able to counter this argument so I can put people's minds at ease, presuming of course that they are wrong and I'm hoping they are.
    Cheers

  14. I'm not going to stop being vegan-wanna preface with that. I am tracking what I eat to lose some weight and am realizing I'm really struggling to get enough calcium according to my fitness pal. I'm not sure what to do bc I've been trying for a week or so now eating the top 10 calcium rich foods according to random internet posts. Lol I'm turning to Dr Gregor for advice now and I hope he's got some good ones.

  15. Interesting study. I eat almonds and peanuts as my primary sources of fat and protein. I eat at least two servings of almonds per day and about seven servings of peanuts per day.
