31 Risposte a “Podcast: The Best Diet for COVID and Long COVID”

  1. Long covid is bullshit the truth is it’s just vaccine injured people who have no immunity because the experimental mRNA injections destroyed it

  2. I stopped trusting him after he pushed the clot shot although I would still swear he never took it himself. I’ve asked a dozen times if he can come out and admit whether he is vaccinated or not. I haven’t found him ever saying that. I’ve lost trust.

  3. As a wholefood plant based unvaccinated vegan, I woke up won 26 Dec with a low grade fever that lasted four days, and some fatigue, but I'm since fully recovered as I keep my immune system well protected.

  4. Before I went plant based, I'd get horrible bronchitis that would last 5 weeks every time I caught a cold, and then I'd get a secondary sinus infection afterwards. Every time. After going plant based, colds last about a week, with a week of recovery after, and then I'm good again. I'd honestly hate to think how bad my Covid infection would have been if I had still been eating the old way when the pandemic hit. If my diet helped at all, I'm eternally grateful. I also don't get seasonal allergies like I used to. I used to just be dying in misery for a month and a half from grass pollen every year, and now it hardly bothers me. It's really amazing!

  5. Before I went plantbased, I used to get really bad cough every time I cought a cold, maybe because astma runs in the family. But after I went plantbased I not only have had fewer colds, but much Milder too. I did get covid, but was fortunate to not get particularly ill and was out of bed in five days. And I was really worried since I am on statins and have heard so much about Statin patients getting hit harder by covid. 🙏🏻

  6. My husband was whole food plant based before catching covid. While he haad it he had a temp but few other symptoms. Nearly 4 years on and having stuck to being vegan, he still has debilitating long covid, manifesting in extreme fatigue (CFS), brain fog, light and sound sensitivity, pain and a host of other issues. So I'm afraid this diet didn't stop him from becoming disabled by Covid. The key thing is to avoid infection, wear a mask in crowded spaces, keep ventilation going in crowded rooms etc. Just because you dont get Long Covid from your first few Covid infections, doesn't mean you won't get it next time. And it will ruin your life.

  7. I'd been eating whole foods plant based for 5 years before catching Covid in 2020. I had no big health issues and I still ended up with Long Covid that has drastically and likely permanently altered how I live my life. *Everyone is at risk.* Long term effects may not be evident for months or longer. Damage is cumulative, and your risk for long term effects only gets worse with more Covid infections.
The best way to prevent infection is to limit your exposure by wearing a well fitting N95, KN95 respirator mask, improve air filtration and ventilation and for people to stay home when they are sick. Vaccination is good, and eating healthy is good, but is no guarantee.
I worry that this video will make people who eat WFPB think they don't need to take any other precautions. They will find out the hard way how ill-advised that would be.

  8. I have the opposite experience of this podcast, my family eats quite variedly, mom is vegan, dad and sibling are omni and i'm carnivore. I have yet to get covid inspite of my family getting it multiple times and living together. My work supervisor who is also carnivore has yet to get it while his wife and parents have gotten it multiple times. That being said i'm not against vegan/plant based, i have noticed the vegans i know irl although they did get covid, the severity was minimal and they recovered quick compare to omnis, my father was the worst hit and suffers from long covid. To be honest i suspect it might be less the kind of diet we eat but the quality of the food and nutrients we take. I've been supplementing where i can and eating whole keeping my nutrition rounded compared to the rest of my family same goes for the carnivore supervisor i work with.

  9. I can’t believe Dr Greger is mentioning Covid. just another form of flu. Remember the world was shut down for this. Another case of multinationals controlling the narrative and making obscene amounts of money. Pam Popper is the only plant based doctor to call out the scam.

  10. Thank you for all your generous and very inspiring information to optimaize healing of the Earth and of us all – and it would become even easier if more low fat whole food plant food were availabe in ordinary supermarkeds, cafés and everywhere in our Modern cultures – but I am optimistic – change can happen and it does 🙏🎵💚🎶

  11. It is sad that so many people don‘t understand the evidence behind vaccines like the covid vaccine – yes, there are risks, but the benefits outweight the risks by far. There are many anecdotes in this topic, but it‘s more important, what the evidence is about. I‘m glad, that Dr. Greger sticks to it.

  12. I have had covid, at least 4 times. The first time was before there was a vaccine. My family mostly eats plant based meals as I am vegan. My daughter was the first infected. Thankfully, she recovered enough to take care of our youngest daughter as both my husband and I get it at the same time and we were bedridden. At one point I thought I would need to be admitted to the hospital as I used all of my inhaler puffs and I was stull struggling to breathe whilst staying in bed. I thought I were going to die and worried about my children. Somehow we both pulled through.

The third time knocked me back so bad I had to take 3 mobths off work and went back in to work in fear of getting let go despite not being recovered i still suffer from long covid. I used to have so much engery and do so many things. Now I have neuropathy in my hands and feet, brain fog, migraines, worsened asthmas, and chronic fatigue. I am sure there is more, but I can't think of it.

Masks, hand washing, and social distancing are great. Covid a virus that is extremely effective at making life difficult for those that get it if they manage to survive it.

  13. At 74, vegan since 90s and WFPB NO SOS since 2021. I've had several covid shots to help protect my students and friends.
I met Dr several times, when he taught in Rockford, IL. He is 100% genuine and I appreciate and respect his evidence.

  14. You just wrecked her entire life, in sync. A world of hurt, and detox.
PS: Is your mom able to do side stretches really slow,ly perhaps? ( in order to creater more space for the lungs to breathe )
Being sedetary could mean that the muscles there have weakened ,and became stiff over time, especially when she stresses out a lot.
