  1. Then WHY do so MANY doctors still advise diabetics to stop eating fruit?! My room mate just recently got diagnosed with type 2 diabetes and that's what her GP told her, even though she doesn't even eat fruit most days! But guess what she eats all day every day – meat and dairy. LOTS of meat and dairy (that's 99% of her diet, the other 1% is white bread and pasta); no veggies and only occasionly fruit. It's baffling and scary that doctors are that uneducated!

  2. There is is no logical reason to be ok with eating 500 grams of sugar from fruit but think that even 10 grams of organic cane sugar is poison. Sugar is sugar, whether it comes from fruit or from sugar cane. Cookies, cakes, donuts, chocolate bars, soda, ice cream, and pastries are bad. NOT because of the sugar, but because of all the fat, oils, and artificial ingredients in those foods. The only bad sugar is gmo sugar like HFCS or gmo beet sugar

  3. The issue with fruit today is that it has ALL been engineered for high sugar content and color. The nutrition is gone.
There is no such thing as an essential carbohydrate.
