   I think it's the era of the climate crisis that we all fear for.

11. We don't have technical problems we have a deeply ingrained cultural problem. Carnism is the dominant culture and it is an aggressive, violent, and ecocidal culture that won't surrender to a handful of vegan environmentalists, who complain about carnism instead of providing a more attractive cultural alternative, if that is even still possible.

13. Personally I refrain from mentioning the environment at all, for 2 reasons.
    1. I'm vegan for the animals.
    2. All of the environmental arguments are usually with the heliocentric paradigm and rhetoric. I.e we have a greenhouse effect but also a sky vacuum. We have an atmosphere (sphere shaped air). Total cosh.

15. It's about time the Royal family set an example, they eat meat and travel short distances in helicopters all their cars are V8s . Bunch of hypocrites . Better still get rid of them , it's the 1% that cause most pollution.

16. A year or so ago I dropped my Sierra Club membership after 30 years or so of membership because of their refusal to address this topic. Prior to dropping out, I contacted all the candidates running for a board position and asked if they were vegan. One or 2 didn't respond and of the responders there were vegans, vegetarians, and omnivores. Only the vegans and vegetarians received my vote.
    Sierra Club does do some wonderful things but they've had over 10 years to address the elephant in the room (since films FOK and Cowspiracy) and while it appeared they made a few minor efforts, (article on Alan Savoy, a vegan that stepped into "Mr Greens" Q&A, and maybe one other article about cows and the environment, not much in 13 years) it hasn't been enough for an organization of their size.

22. BRAVO Klaus! I couldn't have said it better myself. I used to think that I didn't care about the environment, only ethics and my health, but then I saw Cowspiracy. Just as Phillipa Langley recently exposed the truth about (the two prices in the tower) what we are taught in British schools is not factually correct, and that British historians have failed to investigate the true, so you are doing the same by highlighting the flaws in what the so-called Enviromentalists are claiming to achieve. Pat on the back, as your have by support. Q: If people eat fish, are they twice contributing to climate change, (1) fish consumption % and (2) transportation of the fish %?

33. Honestly, this line of reasoning to support veganism is much more likely to produce behavior change than merely feeling sorry for animals. When eating meat is basically screwing over humanity, suddenly there's a more personal stake (instead of steak, apparently). I wish more vegan promoters would use arguments like these.

67. I've been vegan for about three decades and vegetarian before that. I try to educate those around me including sharing samples of just how delicious and easy a plant based lifestyle can be. We must keep sharing the message.

71. The reason we don’t hear much about it is because people can IMMEDIATELY STOP eating meat.

    But even if 1 million people decided to stop living off of fossil fuel. . . they can’t. It’s no longer down to an individual choice, few people are able to go back to growing their own vegetables and fruits.  

    We are STUCK in a system of monetary capitalism that we almost have to let it consume itself and die out, and hopefully humankind will survive, and be the wiser for it. It’s 50/50.

It's rare that anyone listens, but if we can encourage 10-20% to heed your advice, we may just have a chance of bankrupting the industry. Keep it up!
