  1. Wait a sec. Please also talk about how beets help detox the body by sending yuck in your blood to your liver and when drink large amounts of beets in a juice you may cause liver toxicity because liver is overwhelmed with all the yuck.

  2. There ought to be beet supplements, powders or something that could be added to a smoothie or protein shake. Alternatively, I guess you could cook a few beets and add some to those shakes.
UPDATE: Just took a peek over at Amazon and there are beet supplements, both capsules and powder. Some are beet root, some beet juice; I'm not sure if there's a significant difference between the categories.

  3. I cannot juice my own beets.  Therefore, how much beet juice should I drink when the only bottle I can find is by Dynamic Health?  The bottle is 32 fl oz. and a serving is 1 fl oz instead of 2 cups like in the study.  It is from a powder according to the label, and I cannot find "concentrate" anywhere on the label either.  Should I be drinking 2 cups from this form?  When is the right time to drink it before a workout anyway?  Thank you for your time.

  4. I suspect similar results with other "fresh juice" … remember"balance"…. lots of beet juice can increase chance of kidney stones (ouch — I know ) which can be prevented with kidney/ gall bladder cleansing foods (danelion tea , etc)
… more is not better ( in isolation) .. and for the uninitiated .. do not panic .. that's not rectal bleeding or torn prostate … it's just beet juice …

  5. Jay Kordich has the best recipe..simple…..3 apples and one half beet.  Great recipe.  And remember, beets are powerful…Jay says don't do more than a half…otherwise you'll be trapped in the bathroom.  lol

  6. the thing about beets is they have more red if grown where it gets cold. so California beets are not as red.keep that in mind when buying them.

  7. 8 guys on bikes, quite a small sample size to be deriving any statistical significance, but is perfect for presenting the obersvation in a larger study.

before the series of experiments there were no drugs or interventions that could cause an increase energy extraction from o2.

I would like to see links to all your sources as well – if you included references in all of your videos, you could really take these under-examined studies further using your ytube channel's large reach. peace

  8. After I started following this, my performance improved. I'm aspiring to be a triathlete, and even though there's a long way to go, beets, arugula (I also love clementines and watermelon) are my healthy "doping" 🙂 these advices are life changing for me!

  9. Does 2 cups mean about 500ml of “pure” beet juice ? I took 7 beets and just got 200 ml. And my throat was sore for one full day ! Isn’t it too much ? How much is recommended ? Anyone ?
